“A restaurant in Mesquite”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 2, 2013

This restaurant like the whole Mesquite reminds me of my hometown Tver( Russia) with the attitude and restaurant food quality, it's The SaMe, haha))) this restaurant is the only restaurant in Mesquite I guess. 4 stars is very good rating, the restaurant is good, though they never heard of raw ama ebi shrimp, and the waiter was telling me its bad to eat it raw, the shrimp MUsT be cooked. Very funny! The quality of sushi= sushi in Tver, Russia surprisingly the same. The service is the best in town, except for the shrimp, which a top notch restaurant would immediately replace with raw amaebi shrimp, which I initially ordered , but that's fine.
Conclusion - the only place you can call restaurant in town.

“Our favorite place to eat in Mesquite!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 10, 2013

It's hard to believe there is a full on hibachi grill in little Mesquite Nevada. It's a fun place to go with friends to get a little entertainment with your dinner. Some chefs are a little more exciting than others but we always get a tasty meal. The soup is very good and we love the dressing on the salad. It has a pleasing atmosphere and even has a little Koi pond with a bridge in the waiting area. There are some "fine dining" places in Mesquite at the golf courses and casinos but we prefer Samurai 21. Highly recommended.

“Fun”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 18, 2013

I've been here several times and really enjoyed it. On one occasion it was a group of eight the other just three which was filled in with another group. With both, we laughed alot. It was nice getting to know others over good food and entertainment. The food is fresh and prepared with flair in front of you.

“Hibachi Dinner - fun night out with the kids”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 15, 2013

Personally I can do without the group dynamics of hibachi grill dinners, but the grandkids love it. I do enjoy the food and taste- once in a while. Samurai 21 is a good place in Mesquite. No problems or issues.

“Hibachi style or restaurant style”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 25, 2013

You can pay more for the same food items if you want the entertainment factor of watching the hibachi chef throw your food around the grill and onto your plate, and it is nice to actually see your meal prepared right in front of you, can't get any fresher than that. But sitting in the restaurant area of Samurai 21 allows you to converse freely (without the show going on and having to share your table with 8 or so strangers to your party), and the prices for similar food items are much more reasonable. Some hibachi items are not available and the restaurant menu is very limited and repetitive. However, you usually get the attention of your own server, though on occasion we have had to wait long times, or search for our server when needing something. Sometimes they seemed to go off duty and not tell someone else to cover our table. There is a sushi bar but we don't do raw fish, so we haven't tried that. The Japanese menu is typical, food is fresh, portions are good, but there could be more variety on the menu, especially for cooked seafood dishes, since they serve similar choices at the hibachi. Overall, one of our regular places, but less often than other restaurants in Mesquite.
