Our stay here was disappointing. We searched for an outlet to plug in the Keurig and finally decided to haul it into the bathroom and discovered it didn't work anyway. Also no outlet for using the iron. Cleanliness was also an issue, not to mention the bird poop on the balcony. The casino very dark and dingy.

My wife and I made our first trip to Laughlin this week. We stayed at the Edgewater at the recommendation of a neighbor.....big mistake to not have read reviews first. I'll begin with the good. All of the employees we encountered were professional and nice. We had a good breakfast at the Coco's restaurant downstairs. They still have $5 blackjack tables. Now for the bad. Walking into the lobby/casino area reminded me of downtown Las Vegas in the 1980's...it had a very worn out appearance. Our room on the 11th floor of the Sedona tower overlooking the river seemed ok at first glance. However, there was a musty stale smell which may have been the result of having no fan, or at least no working fan in the bathroom. Also, the a/c which had to be left on to circulate the air was very noisy. The bed was very soft....too soft and there were four pillows, two that were oversized and very hard so your head was resting too high and two pillows that were so soft your head went right to the mattress. We also noticed the outside of the shower door at the bottom had either mold or dirt.....didn't want to investigate to see which it was. We were going to stay two nights but we cut our visit short after the first night. I was surprised and pleased that the hotel did not charge us for the second night after hearing our reasons for leaving.

As a Las Vegas local, I never expect a level of service to compare. The Edgewater definitely doesn't. We stayed In the Sedona Tower, I can't imagine wha the older tower looks like. Hotel is very old, hasn't been deep cleaned in probably a decade. Sink wouldn't drain, shower water pressure was a trickle, cable remote was slow in response. Staff looked less then thrilled to be there, cafe food quality is horrendous.

Room tip: Don't expect much.

We stayed at the Edgewater on Friday, March 29, and were placed in the Santa Fe "tower". First this is not a tower, but the 6 story original hotel building. It does not appear to have been updated since it was built. Ancient chairs, very worn carpet, tiny toilet and old, stained tub/shower with no grab bars marked the room immediately. The through wall a/c unit sounded like a 747 at takeoff every time it cycled. They have added a Keurig coffee maker in each room, but there was no way to plug it in from the table. Inadequate to say the least. If you stay here, insist on the Sedona Tower; hopefully it is better. On a positive note, the expanded non-smoking casino area was very welcome.

Hotel/casino advertised dinner buffet and breakfast buffet with 2 night stay. We were led to believe that this included dinner buffet and breakfast buffet for 2 persons for 2 days.
At the dinner buffet we were informed by inhospitable dining manager that we would have one dinner buffet per person, period. Evening supervisor confirmed this.

Dining area for buffet is not pleasant, has a dungeon like atmosphere. No decor. No windows. Definitely not a pleasant dining place.

Dinner buffet was over cooked and tasteless. It definitely wasn’t worth $25, which is amount charged.

Would not recommend this hotel or dining place.
