Based on the good reviews here thought we would we try the Edgewater. We have stayed at the Riverview, Flamingo, Ramada, and Avi before and enjoyed them all.

My wife tried to check in while I parked the car but since the reservation wasn't in her name they wouldn't let her check in!! Had to wait in line twice. We got a non-smoking river view in the Sedona Tower. Nice view but small window (had to stand up to see outside), also no balcony. Large room and bath but very disappointed with the room cleanliness and amenities. Dirty window with bugs in the sill, old dated furnishings/carpet, no bathtub, no coffee maker (instead had hot water dispenser with little packets of instant coffee- how cheap can you get?), toiletries came in small tear open packets instead of the miniature bottles, small TV (20"), noisy air conditioner. There is a standard 8:00am room check each morning (someone knocks on your door to see if the room is still occupied).

There are are better hotel values in Laughlin so we won't be going back.

Just had a great holiday to Laughlin, then Vegas! Stayed for our THIRD time in The Edgewater in Laughlin!

Arrived on sunday 3rd April, the day the weekend Rodeo was just finishing, so the hotel had had a very busy time with all those cowboys! Check-in tho was still quite quick. I had asked for adjoining, non smoking rooms in the high tower....unfortunately, we had it all except apologetically they asked if we would mind "smoking" rooms for the first night, then they would move us! This was ok, & as non-smokers I would say the room was nicely deoderised & up to their usual high standard!

As promised, the next day we were moved, to non-smoking newly refurbished rooms, no fuss, right at the top of the tower! Great views!

We have never been disappointed with Edgewater. The rooms were lovely, clean, comfortable, the beds were really comfy. Nice fresh white towels every morning. Housekeeping are efficient. The staff are quick to help. And we always feel at home! The casino is good, we missed "ELVIS's" prescence this year, in previous years he has been a regular feature, bit thin on the ground this year. Tho Mark "Elvis" Davis (the impersonater's name) did a show with The Neil Diamond Tribute chap, & it was excellent! The Lounge had a few shows, & a group called "Kid n Nic" do an excellent show! Of real high standards!

So once again, great review from us for our favourite holiday hotel, in our favourite destination! Oh, & the Grand Buffet in Edgewater (the largest buffet in Laughlin) is second to none! Great food, great service & low price! Can't wait till we "meet" again!

I stayed at the Edgewater from April 18- April 21 and I was pleasantly suprised. I have worked at 3 hotels now (Hilton, Hyatt, Morongo) and I can be very picky when I am on the other side of the front desk. We reserved 5 rooms and all were just as requested. They even got us all next to eachother. The rooms were exceptionally clean for a 2 star, do it yourself hotel. The bathroom had plenty of toiletries and towels and was pretty roomy. The room was very basic but once again very clean. Hotel staff was very helpful, especially housekeeping who really truly wanted to know if we were pleased with our room. The package we purchased include 2 free buffet tickets per night per room, tickets for 2 free drinks, etc. At $35 per night, it was pretty much like staying there for free with all the perks! I would not hesitate to stay at the Edgewater again.

What I loved about the Edgewater was the location, value and buffet. The hotel & casino is located in the heart of town, unlike the Harrah's, where you're stuck at one end of town and at one casino. Don't get me wrong, Harrah's is very nice, but the parking structure is far from the rooms, so it's a good hike across a parking lot, up stairs and walking the parking lot stucture to find your car. It's a good 10-15 min. hike. If you don't have a car, then you're basically stuck. You'll have to get a taxi or hope the water taxi's are running. Low tide, they can't and it can making your trip to Laughlin basically confined to Harrah's.

Now, the Edgewater, you're in the heart of Laughlin. The casino is great and it's a short hop to the Colorado Bell or Flamingo. The rooms are nice, not 5 stars, but nice and clean. The staff is great and helpful. Mark " Elvis" Davis is very entertaining singing Elvis and dealing at the same time. He's one of the reasons we go there! The buffet prices have climbed a bit, $6.99 breakfast, but well worth the money!!! They have the best breakfast buffet in town hands down. We've paid for for Flamingos, Harrah's, Ramada's, but Edgewater is our favorite. If you want a great room prices, location perfect for enjoying your stay in laughlin, quality entertainment, excellent buffet and a great Elvis impersonator, Edgewater is the only place to stay!
