“Some Great....Some not so great....”
Reviewed February 7, 2013

We love Embassy's and really loved this place in Vegas as it was quiet, but close to wherever we wanted to go. All of the staff was extremely kind. The evening reception was awesome with veggies and dip which they don't always offer at Embassy's.The room was nice as we expect in Embassy's. Everything seemed great until we tried to go out and go to the spa around 6:30 after getting settled in our hotel. We were shocked to find out the pool was only open from 10 to 6 because new laws say they have to have a life guard due to their pool size. Well then hire a life guard until at least 9:00 pm. We have never stayed at a hotel where you couldn't go to the pool and jacuzzi in the evening. Then to make matters worse the next afternoon when we went to the spa it was over chlorinated to the point it completely bleached a bright blue expensive swim suit to white with in minutes. We reported it and the staff told us we were right and they were draining the spa. So the pool and spa definitely put a damper on our weekend stay but overall the hotel and staff seemed very concerned and helped us fill out an incident report. We are still waiting to be contacted about the report. Although we had these problems things like this happen and we will stay here again as long as they figure out the life guard issue so we can use the pool and spa.

Dear "miss719,"

Thank you for taking the time to write a review on TripAdvisor regarding your recent visit to the Embassy Suites Las Vegas. We appreciate feedback from our guests regardless of its nature.

Please accept my sincere apologies for the inconveniences you experienced with our pool being closed at times when you wanted to utilize it. In the next few weeks, we will be resurfacing both the pool and pool deck. Once these projects are complete, we will have extended hours for our pool, especially as we roll into warmer weather.

I realize you may be hesitant to stay at our hotel again, however, we would sincerely like another opportunity to win back your good faith in our hotel during a future visit to Las Vegas. Thank you again for letting us know of your concerns and for the opportunity to improve our guests' experience.

Sincerely,

Dan Stenz

Loved being off the strip in a quieter setting. We always know what to expect from Embassy Suites, but this location exceeded all of our expectations. The breakfast is vast, well prepared and the dining area was spotless. The front desk staff was extremely helpful and the facilities are immaculate. Well priced when compared to hotels on the strip, especially when considering the FREE breakfast.

Room Tip: The kind-size beds are the best!

This hotel is typical of other Embassy Suites properties. The room was nice and comfy, the bathroom was clean and well-appointed. The place was kept up really well. At the manager's reception, they served quite a few more choices than your typical ES. And liked that.

I love this place. I have been to LV too many times and I am not into gambling, smoking, drinking, etc.... I usually go for business or a convention. This ES puts you close enough to the strip so you can run over there if you want and its walking distance to a couple great restaurants. There is no smoking or gambling @ the hotel, so its a great escape from all that. And its priced decently as well.

After more than 25 trips to Vegas for conferences I was getting pretty jaded. We have stayed at everything from high-end hotels to budget dives on and off the Strip. I have never been very impressed with our accommodations until we stayed at this Embassy Suites. First off, the airport shuttle dropped us off at the wrong Embassy Suites despite our correct instructions. No problem, the hotel shuttle was quickly dispatched to pick us up and 15 minutes later we were relaxing in our room! (They could easily have told us to catch a cab.) Speaking of cabs... you won't need to bother with them when you stay here! The hotel's shuttle service runs regularly to the Strip and the airport. (When they're not busy the shuttle drivers have been known to pick up and drop guests off anywhere they want.) The cooked-to-order breakfast each day was the highlight of my mornings. (The omelettes are simply delicious!) The outdoor pool and hot tub are a real treat! It was January when we stayed here and so many Vegas hotels close their pools for the winter - not this Embassy Suites! Check-in & Check-out was a breeze. Our room was great. We'd like to give a shout out to Sandra, Robert, Jackie, Augusto and Day as well as all the other great staff who made our stay so enjoyable! We will definitely stay at this property when we're back in Vegas next. Well done Embassy Suites!

The crew here is really well trained and equipped to help you with answers to just about anything. Staff is five stars. Facility is typical ES well taken care of. What you should know: Taxis in Vegas are really expensive. Plan on 15 to 20 dollars to go anywhere. DRIVERS PRETEND THEY DO NOT HAVE CHANGE FOR TWENTIES. Make sure you have fives and singles in your wallet. We stayed about a week, the average taxi fare was $14.00. You hand over a twenty and the drive says thankl you, No, you want change. That's when they tell you they don't have any. More than half of our taxi rides we ran into this. Be prepared. Facility is directly across the street from UNLV, but don't trust maps of the strip....it is a long haul by foot, so take the hotel hourly shuttle or get your cash ready for the cabbies.

Room Tip: Stay on the side away from the airport.

When I go up to Vegas to work I love staying here because I do not like casinos or smokers (ya i know it is everywhere in Vegas) this place is about a mile and a half east of the strip and there is no casino so that is a big plus for me.

The cook to order breakfast is the best one i have had in any Embassy Suites.

I would stay again.
