We travelled to LV with a couple of friends and did the check in together: they obtained a free Suite upgrade, we didn't have nothing more. I don't know why...
Plus: we paid via the official Mirage website 15 USD more for a "Strip View" Room. If I pay more is to obtain more, but they decided to put us in the back of the hotel with a hotel roof , mountain and highway view...It took me 1 hour to ask for the room change and what I've obtained is only a partial Strip View, nothing special.
The dolphin show is not free and you've to pay 15 USD even if you're sleeping in the hotel.
Next time (but there won't be a second time in a so stupid and unuseful city) I'll pay less for sure and I'll pretend for a free upgrade.

I traveled to Las Vegas for my 30th birthday. I loved the Mirage. Not really sure what else you could ask for. It was located in a perfect spot along the strip. Was directly in the middle and within walking distance to fun attractions(Volcano show, treasure island pirate show, bellagio water fountain show, gondola rides, effiel tower). The room was very modern and spacious. The bathroom was clean and not too small. I absolutely loved the beds! They were the most comfortable beds I have ever slept on in a hotel room. It was like sleeping on a cloud. I feel asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow. It had a nice flat screen tv, an ipod docking station, closet and drawer space. We went to the pool on a couple different mornings. You need to go early to get a chair. They fill up fast. Rented a pool float a couple days and it was great. You just float around in the pool and stay cool. Checked out room service a few times. The food came quickly and was delicious. It really wasnt that much more expensive than the other restaurants in the hotel and they bring in a table for you to eat on. All the staff was very friendly. There are security personnel posted at the elevators at night so they make you show your room card in order to get upstairs to the rooms. My mom, sister and I had a wonderful experience and we wouldn't change anything. Would def recommend the Mirage.

We went to Las Vegas for 4 nights; this was our first visit. We got a really good deal over priceline so no complaints about our stay. Just some forewarning if you don't get a good deal.

For $30 cheaper we could have stayed in the PH or $50 more the Bellagio. We chose the Mirage due to some reviews on trip advisor that stated it had the old world charm.

The reception staff were very helpful. It was easy to get to from the airport being mid strip. It is a fabulous location. The entrance way is fancy, attracting the crowds for the volcano. But once you are past the palm trees/graden, you hit the dingy, dark, smelly and smoky casino! The restaurants are average, the food is overpriced, the service at their restaurants is average. If this is old vegas and what you like then go for it.

The pool area (normal pool area, not adult only pool) is too small for the guests on a busy weekend, beds packed so tight and sullen pool staff.

The room was ok, not very clean and looked like it belonged in a 70's porn movie. The carpet was filthy and the bathroom had stains everywhere. The walls were paper thin, so you could hear everything going on next door. The room was a great size and had heaps of storage if you were staying longer, heaps of mirrors and light.

I'd much rather stay at one of the other casinos that are brighter and lighter and airier. That is my personal preference though.

The zoo was overated too at $15 a pop. No shows for the dolphins and the animal enclosures are so small.

Central hotel on the strip. Rooms were comfortable although not a lot of space due to 2 x Queen Beds. Restaurants were better in TI next door. Breakfast buffet good value.
