The room:
We had a king bed room with a view behind the strip. There is a refrigerator but it is filled with food and beverages provided by the hotel. BEWARE, if you move anything or put anything of your own in there you will be charged and they will throw away your item. There is a menu of how much the things in there cost, it's expensive! The AC never really was able to keep up and it was muggy in our room except for at night. There is a $25 daily resort fee that includes the wifi, not sure what else this is for. Flat screen TV, iron/ironing board, blow dryer, safe in closet, desk, chair, decent bathroom. Overall it wasn't a spectacular room but it was nice.

Casino:
very large, tables were decent, and we did enjoy gambling here, not overcrowded

Pool:
There are 2 pools: the main pool and a "bare" pool for those who want to be bare
(extra fee per day).
The main pool opens at 9am. We got there at 930am and there were hardly any chairs left. There are a lot of chairs but people get there at least 30 minutes before the pool opens to lay all their belongings on chairs. Get there after 930 good luck getting a chair and expect to be laying on the ground. No one was in the pool except kids the first day because the pool is chilly. It was about 80 degrees while we were there (March). I am guessing the summer months everyone enjoys the chilly water.
Drinks at pool: $20 for a 32 oz strawberry daiquiri

Cravings:
Ate breakfast buffet here, was so good, lots of food for around $15 a person on a weekday and $34 on weekend

California Pizza Kitchen:
Very good, pizzas were about $16 a pizza

Very enjoyable experience. The Mirage is a very high quality hotel, great rooms, staff and of course the food! My trip to Las Vegas was earned thru my hard work as an Avon Lady. The MIrage truly welcomed us and pampered us!

Like my title says, best value in town, but you already know that. Location is key, yet not too expensive, on the older side, but they keep it fresh with upgrades and constant remodel. Great clubs, bars, and restaurants, and not too mention a casino that actually gives the average person comps. Can't Be beat!

We had another great stay here during March madness. I have a previous, more detailed review about the room, but again, the room was spacious, clean, and nicely decorated. We got a free upgrade to a strip view room which was nice.

I wish the room door was thicker because we could hear everything from the hallways. Other than that we love staying here because of the excellent location in the middle of the strip. And for those who love shopping like me, you are between two malls (no good shopping choices inside the Mirage). The Forum shops are right next door if you exit through the doors near the sports book and turn right. The Forum Shops house more high fashion stores than anywhere else in the world. To the other side of the hotel is the Fashion Show Mall which is fairly close (when you exit through the main doors of the Mirage, turn left, and get on the tram that is near the taxi line and baggage check. It takes you next door to Treasure Island which is very quick and free. Then walk across the casino and then across the walkway that goes over the street and you are at the Fashion Show Mall). It's a regular mall, not as fancy as the Forum shops, but what it does have are department stores which the Forum shops lack like Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus, Saks, Dillard’s, and Macy’s.

If, for any reason, you want to use the monorail to get to other casinos, just cross the street, walk through and to the back of Harrah's and you'll find the monorail entrance. It's cheap and safe.

The Mirage pool is rather small compared to other pools in Vegas and what was odd was that the chairs are all pushed together so you can't walk between them. Basically you are hip to hip with the stranger next to you. And it was full of a young and rowdy crowd. I reserved a chair at the Oasis pool for $35 at concierge. It is a pool which is hidden away and tucked to the side of the main pool with a private heated pool and you have to be over 21. You can still hear the music from the main pool but it's not a wild and crowded scene. Each chair is reserved for the entire day so you can leave and come back and no one will take your chair. Also, the lounge chairs are more comfortable than the ones at the main pool and have space in between each chair with a table and umbrella. If it is a really windy day, do NOT open your umbrella. One lady asked an attendant if it was okay to have hers open in the strong wind and the attendant told her not to worry, that they never fall down. A few hours later an umbrella DID fall and landed on a woman. Everyone ran to help her and the manager had to come over to apologize and rectify the situation. The oasis area never had more than about 25 people and was very peaceful and relaxing. And the service was great. The attendants were constantly walking around and I never had to wait long for anything. The food and drinks I ordered were very good. The Oasis pool is completely worth the $35 if you don't want to be a part of the zoo that is the main pool.

Next to the pool, inside the building is a yogurt shop called Blizz which I really liked. You pick your yogurt flavors and toppings and the price is based on the weight of your creation. Across from that is a nice coffee shop. Also we really liked the buffet called Cravings and once we paid they gave us are 2 for 1 coupon for the next visit to the buffet so we had lunch there every day. We’ve also eaten at the steak restaurant, Stack, and I have a separate review for that.

Even though we've stayed at some other really nice hotels on the strip, we always come back to the Mirage. You can't beat the combination of location, nice room, oasis pool, and good food options.

The hotel staff was awesome, the rooms were nice and clean! This hotel was the best! When we arrived we were allowed to check in early, the room was beautiful and there was plenty of space. When it came time to check out we were running and when in i called the front desk we were told no worries. Checking out was fast and easy.

I had heard mixed reviews about the Mirage before going, but I walked away with a positive experience. The check in had a long line that was well moving. The staff was very friendly. The room we received was recently updated and very modern. The room was clean. My husband and I encountered no problems and had a nice time. A plus was the location and also the choice of restaurants right inside the casino.
