We booked months ago for a three night stay. Arrived late afternoon and joined the check-in queue of 12 people and one person on check ins.We had the paper documents for our booking, they had no booking for us, despite prepaid booking. We emailed travel agent and had full confirmation. This took 24hrs for the hotel to work this out, they did have a room available. The casino in the down stairs area is very large, allows gamblers to smoke. As you have to walk through all of this area, be very aware if you don't mind the smell of smoke on your clothes????

Room tip: As walls are paper thin, you will hear the people talking in the room next door!!!

I enjoyed a 3 night stay here this week. Great value, clean facility, casino had a very nice updated feel. Very fresh. Bungalows felt a bit dated but were clean and comfortable. Would definitely return.

Thank you,Tim C, we appreciate your review of the Tropicana. Glad to hear that overall you had an enjoyable experience. You may be excited to know that more of the pzazz is happening on property. Most of which will occur with our full room remodel. We hope you will be back to experience these changes for yourself.

The room was beautiful and comfortable with a spectacular view. One downside: they were filming a commercial at it's entrance and it was LOUD-ALL NIGHT! Keep me up most of the night. Would have appreciated a head's up.

We got this hotel because it was cheap and on the strip. But beware... you get nothing extra whatsoever. We were offered an "upgrade" on arrival for $25 a night. This got us basically zero except we didn't have a view of the parking lot (wow, thanks) and we got a coffee maker (no milk, mind, just a coffee maker). There was zero introduction (we got lost in the casino on the way to our room). The breakfast buffet was expensive and poor value. The pool and outside decoration is extremely poor compared to other Vegas hotels. It feels more like Benidorm than South Beach. The casino was incredibly smoky, as was the bar, so this made us both feel ill. Smoke can be smelled in the corridors as well as cannabis. The facilities are basic, but there were a few bars - if you could stand the smoke. There was also a foodcourt that we only discovered on our last day, along with several very uninspiring restaurants. Staff were helpful enough, but hardly to be seen. The casino tables were only half-occupied (about half of them were always shut) so we didn't get to play much there. There are no transportation links except taxis - the monorail is a half hour walk away through the cavernous MGM Grand. Taxis were actually cheaper than the monorail an you don't have the arduous walk. This is a very basic hotel with does just about the bare minimum. I wouldn't really recommend it for the price. Pay a little bit more and get a much better one.

This was a last minute trip to attend a friends wedding. Hilton Honors put your location at the top with the best rates for the night of our stay. Could not have been happier with our choice to stay here, as the hotel was close to our friends hotel. They really liked our room when they stopped by to meet us.
