Came to LV to see Santana and the Rolling Stones. The Tropicana is a great place. The staff makes an effort to greet you and provides wonderful service. The pool is huge and the servers ( Emma) are very attentive. The rooms are newly updated. We stayed in the bungalows. Highly Recommend! We are resort residents ( JAckson Hole) and know quality service. THis place rates High!

Room Tip: Pool side Bungalows

The room I stayed in was recently remodeled and it was very comfortable. A lot of nice touches to give the room a "cabana" feel to it. The check-in was quick and easy, and the hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Greeting all guests with warm cookies is always a treat! The location of the hotel is great because its right on the strip. The only thing is that you can occasionally hear the airplanes take off, but I guess that is true of any hotel on the strip given the proximity of the airport. The price was just right. As I was checking out, the management seemed genuinely interested in my opinion of my stay and ways in which they can improve their service. I think the hotel is under new management so they are really looking to please their customers.

Room Tip: Corner suites had a lot of room and a lot more natural light, making it sunny and cheerful. Plus they are away from the elevators.

Room average cleanliness could of been better. Bathroom ok but bottom of bath stained.
Woken each morning by drilling and construction noise phoned reception where they were apparently surprised we could hear work going on invited them to come up but they declined.
Staff indifferent didn't tell us about trop plus which entitles you to half price drinks until half way through our holiday.
Would not stay again !!

We had previously stayed here 2 years ago since the renos had started. Room rates have gone up quite a bit since then. Both of our trips were over the same time period. We stayed May4-8. Booked thru West Jet Vacations. Of interest, in the last 8 months Tropicana's ratings have dropped 15 spots . Showtime Tours took forever to get us to the casino so we took a cab to the airport which was $13. When we arrived at the desk there were 2 workers.; we were next in line. We booked an upgrade from club tower room to a paradise tower city view; king bed;non smoking. Cost an extra $25 a night; well worth it since elevator is literally steps away from front door.Recd 2 cookie coupons from the food court. Also ordered a fridge for $15 a night. Nice to have cold drinks in room when ever you want one;arrived within 15 minutes; beat up but kept everything very cold.We got room 1618. Across from Excalibur, quiet other than siren noise from ambulances. Housekeeping was excellent; even wrote a thank you note for the tip we gave.2 bottles of water first 2 days; then 4 bottles of water next 2 days. Room cleaned by noon every day. Only ate a sandwich first eve at the casino; all other meals offsite. Had brfst every morning at Dennys which was on the north side of MGM. Bus stop was in front of the casino and across the street for the return trip. $20 per person for a 3 day unlimited pass on the whole strip.Smell throughout the casino was not as overbearing as last time; much less nausiating.Spent 1 day by the pool; service was excellent. We had no issues so would stay here again

Room Tip: Stay in Paradise Towers for less walking back and forth to your room if you plan to shop alot.

I am a Hilton member and was looking for an inexpensive place to stay in Las Vegas. I usually stay at the Cosmopolitan, but this time the trip was on my own nickel.

The newly renovated Tropicana is a great place to stay. I was in a bungalow room that overlooked the a garden near the pool. It was a relaxing spot. The room was nicely renovated. The lobby and casino areas are modern, bright, and have a very good smoke removal system.

The staff were all very nice. On a Thursday night the cliental was very "adult - cruise ship". Lots of couples in their early 60s. Families with young adults. Not a hip crowd, but not a lot of drunken idiots or guys in chains and sunglasses, either.

The Tropicana features $5 blackjack with friendly dealers which is nirvana if you are someone who really likes to play.

I would stay here again with my wife or family.

Room Tip: Ask for a bungalow that faces the pool garden. NOT a bungalow that faces the street.
