Stayed here on a 5 day PAII conference. Check in was speedy and staff was friendly and knowledgeable. I had a well appointed two room suite in the tower over the convention center. I think I opted to pay $20-$30 more nightly to upgrade to the suite. Well worth it! It was very clean and had everything you could expect including a refrigerator, in room coffee and a place to plug in your MP3 player, ipad, etc and play your own music. Housekeeping staff is on their toes every day refreshing your room. Great convention center and a staff that was always willing to help.
I do not agree with all the whining about the walk from front desk to your room. It is a casino in Vegas after all! Every casino parades you past the machines and retail areas to get to your room. I don't care where you stay in Vegas you are going to be walking, walking, walking. All that walking is good for your health and helps you walk off all that great food!
For price/value on the strip the newly renovated Tropicana stands up there with the best of them! Book your room here!

Room Tip: To get a fridge, in room coffee and everything you could expect go for a two room suite for a little...

Wonderfully unpretentious old-school with lovely renovations...staff seems to really care...would always recommend the Trop...most generous players club for slots by far on the strip, especially for first-timers...great rates...gorgeous pool area...Go...!

We just got back from staying at the Tropicana in Las Vegas. I thought the hotel was good - but not really anything special, although nothing bad either. The beds were very comfortable, always a plus for me! I think if we had been there in the summer it would have been better because the pool looked really great, but it was not open in February of course. As far as value, it was affordable and clean and in a good location.

We originally started off on the 5th floor in the Club Tower, but we could hear music quite late and we moved to the Paradise Tower for the second night. It was a good move as it was much quieter there!

Just concluded a 5 day conference at The Tropicana and was delighted by the level of service and the value you receive.
The rooms are all newly remodeled and very bright, the conference area was very organized and helpful as we need to add adjust our meeting space and requirements. Had lunch in The Beach Cafe and Dinner in Biscayne which were both excellent.

The highlight of our trip with many first time visitors to Las Vegas from abroad was the great personalities of the Dealers and Pit Boss staff. Black Jack Dealer Katie has to be one of the best on the Strip, friendly and communicative it was a pleasure to spend hours at her table. Roulette Dealer - Giuseppe made the veterans and rookies feel like family speaking and getting to know them as they played. Pit Boss Jamie was a professional when there were a few minor mistakes he was right there to ensure they were corrected and the customers satisfied. There was one Dealer, name I did not get who was teaching 2 new black jack players how and when to bet and hold. You would not see this at many other casinos.

Thanks to the staff at the Trop for a great week

John from Connecticut

Room Tip: Ask for rooms in the Club tower to be closer to the casino and strip

We booked this hotel for a trade show, we traveled as a group and we were extremely disappointed with the hotel.

We booked "Non Smoking" rooms as non of us are smokers and actually some of us are allergic to smoke, and they would not honor that booking, in addition to that, they were extremely unfriendly about the entire situation upon arrival, that didn't do or even offer anything to try accommodate us.

The hotel overall has NO service whatsoever and is old and stinky!

Room Tip: Don't choose any room in this hotel

Having just completed hosting an annual conference at the newly renovated Tropicana, I feel qualified to speak about my entire experience. First, the property has been renovated to reflect a contemporary feel with a South Beach vibe. Clean lines, light colors are a refreshing change to the carnival colored themes of other properties. My room (2064) was well appointed and incredibly comfortable. The variety of restaurants offers a vast selection with great diversity. While large enough to accommodate small to large conferences the feel and service was incredibly intimate. We look forward to booking next years conference at this wonderful property. Whether for business or pleasure, I would highly recommend the Tropicana.
