We stayed here for 4 nights during our honeymoon, first impressions were the hotel had a nice ambiancee, with a convenient location at the top end of the strip, next to MGN and across from New York New York just away enough from the main busy quarters. It would be perfect for a family as it very quite compared to the other big resort hotels nearby.
The staff was competent and attentive. Check-in/check-out was straight forward and easy. We had contacted Nicole in advance of our arrival and were delighted and amazed at the fact we had been upgraded to a Paradise Tower Room, with complimentry buffet breakfast and no resort fee’s. She truely is an asset to this Hotel. Id also like to mention Israel on reception who was nice enough to send up some champagne and chocolate strawberrys to our room which was really thoughtfull.
The rooms and bathrooms were always clean with an extremely comfy bed. The complimentary wifi internet access was really welcome. I'd definitely recommend this hotel to Vegas first-timers (like ourselves) as we found the casino staff were more tolerant of beginners mistakes, with a lower amount of money are gambled with here than in the central Strip hotels.
Overall the prices seemed fair and we would have no hesitation in staying here again on our next Las Vegas trip.

Room Tip: Request a room in the paradise tower

Congratulations on your recent nuptials! I am so glad that Israel and I were able to ensure our stay was as wonderful as the reason for the visit. I would love to assist you with your first anniversary visit. –Nicole Marshall nmarshall@troplv.com

This is a value hotel with recent renovations that make it comfortable but not impressive by Las Vegas standards. The room renovations were pretty extensive except for the bathrooms which were still dated with original tiles , tubs & doors. The room size is adequate and the beds were terrific. The pool area is large with areas of both sun and shade but again was not as posh as many of the other vegas pools.

I have stayed at almost every hotel on the strip and would say this is a great place for someone on a budget that wants some value for their money. Don't expect this to compare to the luxury of the Palazzo or the Wynn but it beats the heck out of the Imperial Palace or LVH.

I am pleased to share with you that the bathrooms are in the process of receiving a complete transformation to match the quality of the rest of the rooms. I apologize if this was an inconvenience. Our main pool does have more of a South Beach laid back feel. Our new beach club, Bagatelle, is the more posh, pool/club atmosphere you may be looking for. ---Nicole Marshall nmarshall@troplv.com

This is a lovey hotel and a great place to stay in vegas. Upon check in we were upgraded to a paradise suite as it was our honeymoon. What a great start! Great view of the strip from there. Hotel was really clean and tidy throughout and (depending on people's tastes) smelled gorgeous. Staff were friendly and so helpful when, unfortunately, i fell ill on the 2nd day. Pool area was lovely though the sun beds are pretty squashed in together. We have recommended to friends and will definitely be visiting again ourselves.

The entire staff at the Tropicana went above and beyond what would be expected in Las Vegas. From every single valet, to the staff in the store, to checking in and out, everyone was exceptionally pleasant and helpful. We have never had such great valet service. We would definitely stay at the Tropicana again. The location was perfect.

My husband and I stayed here a few months ago for a mini weekend getaway/birthday celebration. We scored a nice deal on airfare and hotel and booked Tropicana since we heard it had been renovated. It looks great inside! very clean! We looooooved the room.. it was really spacious and had a nice big bathroom.
We did not eat anywhere inside the hotel but we managed to go to the pool, which is beautiful! It is very tropical and there was nice upbeat music playing in the background.
Overall we had a great stay here. Won some money on our last night playing craps! We will definitely consider staying here again due to great value and location on the strip.
