After researching for hours on line we had narrowed our Hotel pick down to 2 or 3 choices. I called all 3 to get a little more info, but when I spoke to Tropicana there was a definite differance. They were more helpful and more inviting. Room rates are very affordable and the amazing "extras" they offered were surprising. It was not until we arrived that we realized what a good choice Tropicana was! The hotel is very clean, rooms are spacious, it has terrific entertainment and good food. It is conviently located on the strip ...and in a safe area for walking. The staff at Tropicana are like no other we have seen - they are outstanding...VERY friendly, helpful and knowledgable and all "happy" and seemed to enjoy their jobs. They all helped set the stage for a fun-filled week....we can't wait to go back and will definitely stay at Tropicana again ! (this review was written by "picky" people : )

Room Tip: We had a terrific view of strip but any room good

Thank you for your review. I apologize over any construction noise issues and am happy to let you know now that Nikki Beach and Club Nikki are open, the renovation noise from there is a thing of the past. Nicole Marshall nmarshall@troplv.com

After reading a few negative reviews on TripAdvisor we were wondering a bit about the Tropicana, but the professional and friendly staff soon put our concerns at rest. Our room was modern, clean and comfortable. Perhaps this is de riguer for all Vegas hotels but it did seem to be a long slog from the front of the hotel to our room. The staff did forget to clean our room our first morning there, but when we discovered this in the late afternoon, the front desk sent someone up in the evening while we were out to rectify this. Nice pool, too.
One complaint: not quite enough self-parking. When we checked in about 8 pm we were told we should probably just go with valet parking, as they did not have enough parking spots. A security person did help us discover one final spot, but we wonder about the others who came after us. Be aware of this shortage if you've got a car and you're coming in later. Other than that, no complaints.

Thank you for your review. I apologize the walk was a bit much to the Club Tpwer. This tower is prefect for families, Nikki Beach-goers or business travelers due to the proximity to Nikki Beach, the pool and the meeting rooms. On your next visit, ask for a room in the Paradise Tower to be right off the casino. I am also happy to let you know that in a few days the new North Valet will be open with many more parking spaces and valet is always complimentary. Nicole Marshall nmarshall@troplv.com

Cons: pool is cold, they chose to not re do the gross bathtubs and showers. Mold and very dirty tile grout. resort fee, very limited dining and expensive. Fake flowers in and out of property.Construction is going on still and you hear the noise in the morning at 7am.If you want a drink at happy hr price at pool you have to go inside and get it your self. No happy hr at pool, $10.00 drink, beer $7.00. Windows are dirty, you can't see out the window very well. The faucet in the tub ran all 5 days we were there.

Pros: Hotel is nice now just fell short by not doing more in the bathrooms. Pool area is beautiful and chairs are plenty. Nice smell of coconut. The beds are ssssooooooo comfortable. The sheets and pillows are nice also. The furniture is nice, everything is nice and new. Corner room was very quite.
Don't be afraid to try this hotel, I would stay again.

Thank you for leaving your feedback. The weather we have been having has been very cool, which means that water temp has also been cool. Once we reach over 90, the pool will stay nicely in the 70 degree range. I would love to know more about your room as I am unaware of any room that have any mildew and would like to get this addressed ASAP. I am also happy to let you know now that Nikki Beach and Club Nikki are open, the construction noise from there is gone! We do also offer a Happy House every day at Cafe Nikki with drink and food specials. I look forward to hearing from you. Nicole Marshall nmarshall@troplv.com

The hotel Tropicana is a bright, clean hotel located at one end of the strip. As it is situated away from some of the other older hotels it appears less busy and noisy in its casino, with a light and airy atmosphere, as you have to make an effort to get there. The rooms are large and well equipped, with comfortable beds and smart bathrooms. There is easy access from the hotel to all of the attractions on the strip and the staff are welcoming and helpful. The pool area is beautiful and will be even better once the areas being renovated are completely open.

I stayed at the Tropicana after not having seen it for a number of years and was really impressed with the renovations- this is a really lovely hotel. The staff was friendly and welcoming and the ambience was more like a boutique hotel than the other mega-sized and impersonal strip hotels. I was upgraded to an incredible two story suite on the top floor and felt like I was in a luxury hotel in Miami. The room was beautifully renovated and the Cafe Nikki was an excellent bar and casual restaurant. The new beach club area wasn't open yet but I snuck a peek and it looks like it's going to be spectacular. I can't wait to return.

We checked in late. They did not have a king sized bed on the same floor with our friends. They upgrades us to a suite and told us to check in the morning and they would mve us. In the morning they choose to let us stay in the suite for 6 days at no cost! This was after we had gotten the original room at a very good discount price with airfare on Expedia. Several in our group were bothered by soem constuction noises so they moved them also to a higher floor and one of them got a jr. suite also. The staff was also very kind, consideralte and helpful. The remodel is almost done outside. In another month it will all be done and will be a great place to stay for years to come. Also great location. Very close to the airport.. WE will go here again!
