After a long drive from LA through the Nevada desert to Las Vegas, arriving at the The Monte Carlo made it totally worth it! They have a valet service but also offer free parking so you can park yourself if you're on a budget. Tipping in the USA can get quite pricey, especially if you're on a budget as we were with our South African ZAR so I would def recommend self park. The lobby is very beautiful and checking in was easy! Thanks Yonata for our amazing room on the 31st floor! Great view of the strip - Directly opposite the MGM Grand! The hotel is very focussed on being "green" so they recommend re-using towels which we really didn't mind. The bathroom/toilet, bedroom was clean, bed and linens were very soft and comfortable. Everything is within walking distance ie Ross Dress for Less, Marshall's, CVS Pharmacy, Hardrock Cafe etc. There is also a free tram service accessible from the hotel which will take you directly to the Aria & Bellagio! The outside pool area is great but closes very early at 7pm. Only one issue we had was promoters on the hotel premises handing us tickets for "free entry" to Diablos which is a pub/club located at Monte Carlo. The promoter promised us it was a free roof top party and all we had to do to get in was purchase one beverage. However, when we arrived we ended up having to pay $30 and it was not a roof top but rather a balcony. This was very disappointing as it was false advertising. We're not really into gambling but the casino seemed to have every game available for guests. There are many restaurants at Monte Carlo if you're into fine dining but also cheaper options for food such as McDonalds, Subway, Starbucks etc. Other than the Diablo issue, we really enjoyed our stay! The service and staff were friendly and helpful! Check out was also quick and you can also print your flight boarding passes at computers located close to the check out desks. Overall stay was great and the services offered is perfect for anyone traveling to Vegas on a budget but also seeking a little bit of luxury! I would def recommend Monte Carlo to anyone visiting Vegas!

I stayed at the MC for a week in a spa suite with my husband. The room was great and up on floor 31. The spa bath was in the window which gave great views. The ester was red hot with great pressure .
I recommend one of these suites.
The hotel itself was not too big to get list on but big enough not to be crowded. It was spotlessly clean in all areas and there was no issue with smoke in the public areas.
The MC was well located for heading straight out on to the strip.
The food choices were ok, the food court was a plus and The Cafe was fantastic, the fish and chips were amazing!
I recommend this hotel to anyone over the age of 30 who wants a nice experience of Las Vegas without too much party atmosphere.
The pool area was pretty good with the sun coming round as the day went on.
I will definately be back here on my next vegas trip.

Location on the strip is good (though next time i think i would stay on the East side as there seems to be more street life and the monorail) Staff were all very knowledgeable and friendly. My first meal was at The Pub, food was great and at a reasonably priced oh and they 300 different beers and happy hours is between 3 and 6. I also went for a breakfast buffet were I tried to sample one of everything, which was really hard to do as some of the items deserved a second sampling. The hotel and room were somewhat dated but you hardly spend much time there that it really doesn't take away from the experience to much. Disappointing that wireless internet is not available in the rooms but I did know that going in.

Once again the MonteCarlo did not disappoint us from service to great food they keep us coming back.

Stayed for 3 nights in a double queen room on the 21st floor with a view of the pool. Room was basic and not updated at all but the beds were very comfortable and we had everything we needed. We loved the option of the food court for a quick breakfast or late snack instead of the buffet. The best part was the free tram that is connected to the hotel and travels to the Bellagio. It saved a lot of time getting down the strip and was convenient to find.

Just spent 1o days at the Monte Carlo, this was our 1st visit to America,it was for our son's wedding,at the Graceland chapel,we found the hotel very good value, the rooms were always clean and toiletries replaced daily, the staff were all friendly and helpful, and food in the pub was very good, although we found the service a bit slow. We would definitely recommend this hotel and would love to return.good to have bottled water every day,we also found the beds very comfortable.m

Room Tip: We were in room 214 on 9th floor,we were happy with this , we had a view of the strip, but a bit high...

We've occasionally gambled at Monte Carlo's casino, and decided to stay there for two nights to experience the hotel. The hotel, bar, and casino staff were very friendly and helpful. On the other hand, the hotel room was unimpressive by Las Vegas strip standards. The room was clean, but furnished in Spartan style. The bedding was average on a comfort scale, and the bathroom was adequate. The door on our room was not well-insulated, as we could easily hear people conversing in the hallway. My wife had positive things to say about the large pool area, but reported that any amenity there was relatively expensive. To top it off, Monte Carlo charged us a $20 per night additional "resort fee". Frankly, we did not perceive any value from this fee and view it as a way to extract more dollars from guests. As if we didn't spend money in their casino.
Without any significant renovation, I think most people will find Monte Carlo's hotel to be satisfactory, but lacking the "wow" factor of other Las Vegas strip resorts.

Room Tip: To reduce hallway noise, choose a room away from the elevators on the end of the hall.
