I didn't know too much about Monte Carlo Resort & Casino because I did not walk through in my previous trips to Vegas but what a pleasant surprise! Yes the rooms need a little TLC and wifi instead of ethernet. However, you should appreciate the laptop size safe and something that Venetian and other big hotels do not offer, this is coffee in the room and 2 bottles of water daily. The problem these days is about the construction on the side of the hotel and our room was quickly switched by Ryan with a credit for resort fees for the first day.
The location is great, food court very diversified with more on the Street of Dreams (crepes), ventilation in the Casino and hotel is great, lots of restaurants and Blue Man show (expensive)and of course the futuristic tram to ARIA, Crystals and Bellagio. If you go across the street to New York - New York Hotel & Casino (crowded) and walk to Excalibur you can take the next tram to Luxor and Mandalay Bay or walk to MGM across New York-New York and take the monorail connecting you with hotels on the other side of the strip all the way to Sahara Avenue. Miracle Mile shops are almost across the hotel for shopping and especially great restaurants.More
