“HOW DOES THE SPA ROOM COMPARE TO THE DIAMOND SUITE?”

We (wife and myself) have stayed at the Monte many times in the past and have experienced just about every room. We keep returning to the Monte because of the location on the Strip and its smaller in size and easier to navigate.Our favorite room, up to this point, has been the spa suite. This time we elected to give the diamond suite a go. So, how does this compare to the Spa Suite? The Diamond Suite has a much longer and more expansive bar set-up. If you a entertaining in your room, the Diamond Suite definitely gets the vote. The bar comes with a sink and a small, think dorm, refrigerator. The Diamond has a 1/2 bath just off from the entrance door and a sitting area off from the bar that includes a flat screen TV, couch and chairs. All nice enough. Now, to the problem area with this room. The master suite is connected to the master bath, of course, but it doesn't work. The door to the master bath and the door to the shower cannot be operated at the same time because of proximity. Although the shower itself is nice enough the shower door/enclosure is low rent. The other main issue with this room is the lack of closet space. We were staying for a long weekend, and I admit that the wife usually over packs, but we couldn't fit hers and mine in the closet. I ended up putting my clothes in the sitting area. So, the bottom line for us, we will stay with the Monte because of the other advantages that it offers, but, we will be returning to the Spa Suite. Much better room layout and its cheaper.

Overall a good experience. We were unable to get a king bed, but the lady was nice enough to give us a view of the strip. The room was average. Guest service and bell hops were extremely nice and helpful. Would book again

We stayed at the Monte Carlo for 5 nights in January 2014. We upgraded to a strip view room on the 31st floor. The front desk staff said they would text us when our room was ready, but we did not receive one and only found out the room was ready when we checked back at the desk a few hours later. A couple of small problems with the room were quickly rectified. The room was comfortable enough, but showed signs of aging - wallpaper in the bathroom was peeling, the bathtub was old-style small and the fixtures did not match.

The Monte Carlo is centrally located on the Strip and also has a small food court off the lobby. We received 2 free show tickets as part of our package so felt that the price was right for the value we received over our vacation.

....and you should be able to get a decently priced room in a great strip location. Check-in was a breeze and we were upgraded to a view room - very nice!! King room on floor 28 was a good size and the linens were great. No problems with cleanliness of the room or bathroom and it was very quiet at the end of the hall. The hallway carpet appeared to be stained and worn and the wall has numerous scrapes along it - maybe from the housekeeping carts - not a good impression as we walked a LONG WAY to the end of the hall where our room was. All of the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful - although we were not offered any drinks on the casino floor (could be because we didn't see ANY waitstaff) when we were playing which is unusual for a strip property. Overall a great stay and if we see another "offer we can't refuse" we'd return.

Wifey & I had a blast. Friendly staff the food at Brand steakhouse left me wanting more. We recommend to anybody who wants to enjoy their stay in las vegas.check in check in a flash waited in line for 10 minutes.

Amazing location with lots of great amenities in the hotel! technically you don've even have to leave! lol

Great room and a lot of value for your money!

I would definitely recommend this hotel for a stay in vegas!

Just got back from 3 nights at the Monte over Valentines day. Got a nice upgrade to the Monaco Suite which we were really looking forward to. Check in was smooth, room appeared fairly nice, We dropped our bags and proceeded downstairs to play. NO WAITRESSES. I think there might have been two on the whole floor. Not once asked if we wanted a drink so we went to the bar and paid $21 for two small shots? (Really?) Gambling was very disappointing not because we didn't win but the overall vibe of the place was boring. No cool music, no friendly faces, ambiance was really lacking. The Mlife desk rep was seemed to have had better days. Smile Buddy! Frequently noticed trash, overflowing ashtrays and empty glasses and bottles. On to the room. Pretty cool in its size. PILLOWS WERE HORRIBLE! Hard foam. Bed was ok the first night. Early the next morning we were woken by a large family of very loud talkers and a crying baby that sounded like they were in our room. NO SOUND PROOFING WHATSOEVER. I called down to customer service and talked to the sweetest, most helpful rep ever. Joy, you don't get paid enough, ask for a raise! She quickly changed us to another suite on the same floor. We didn't even have to go downstairs. EXCELLENT JOY! You were really the only good thing I have to say about the Monte. Shower had mold, beds and pillows uncomfortable and walls paper thin. For the price point look elsewhere. I've stayed at less expensive places on the Strip and felt better taken care of. Except for Joy :-)
