Married in Vegas - 30 years ago!
Been staying at the Monte Carlo since they opened for biz.
Its a wonderful place and easy to get around in! It is our favorite place of all the places we have stayed at in Vegas. Spa Suite is a wonderful treat!
If something is not right they fix it! Enjoy!

I stayed at the Monte Carlo for the first time due to an annual Las Vegas business trip. My stay was three nights in total. This hotel was selected due to location and price.

Upon arrival, I was not greeted by a bell boy or any staff for bag assistance. Although I did not require any, it would have been nice for the offer, especially while getting out of the taxi. Check in was very quick and efficient. The employees at the desk were very outgoing & personable and left me with a great impression. (The same was true about check out.)

The room was clean and adequate, nothing over the top. The decor was lacking, and renovation is truly in order to keep up with some of the higher end hotels on the strip. Housekeeping did a great job on a daily basis, both in and outside of the room. Most disappointing was the absence of Wi-fi in the rooms. This made it very inconvenient, especially for business travel and working from a tablet device. As previously mentioned in other reviews, cell phone coverage is spotty; I am on the AT&T network.

If you are a light sleeper, I suggest taking ear plugs. I was able to hear talking in the other rooms and even an alarm clock from a room down the hall. Luckily I always travel with ear plugs, which I gladly wore after the first night of hearing my neighbors.

The food in the buffet was very good at breakfast and at a reasonable cost. I would like to have been served a more premium brewed coffee, rather than self serve but it was a buffet so you can't be too picky. Aside from the buffet I had drinks and appetizers at Diablo's. They serve great margarita's. I suggest the Agave.

If you are looking for a convenient location and a good value this is possibly the hotel for you.

The Monte Carlo is not like the well themed Caesars or NYNY, you don't get the feel that you're part of anything special. But that's not all bad. Reasons: few kids, less crowded. It doesn't have that "WOW", so stay here for reasonable price, convenient location.

Speaking of location. Free monorail shuttle connects Bellagio,Aria,Monte Carlo. And then Excalibur,Luxor,Mandalay. One night you can do the south side of the strip and shuttle back when tired. The next night the central part. You'll still want to take transportation to the north side of the strip and Fremont street. It's still a long walk to someplace like Treasure Island when you have two or more in your party and have to weave around other pedestrians.

The Strip View Deluxe rooms are $20 more than Interstate 15 view. You should use these rooms when comparing to other hotels. The view of the strip isn't the best. The view is better from the other side of the street. But it's looking on the strip and that's what you want.

The rooms are just OK. The buffet is not as good as you'd get at home. Plan on either the fast food court or going somewhere else for breakfast.

Wife, kids and I spent two nights here and loved it. This resort is in a great location and easy to get around from place to place. The check in was fast but it was mid week so it was not very busy. We loved how close the elevators were to the pools and good court. The pools were awesome, wave pool, lazy river, hot tub and a regular pool were all very nice. Kids loved the wave pool and spent a lot of time in it. Don't wait for a pool waitress as it takes forever to find one then get something from them. Self service is the way to go here. There was not a lot of room around the pools for beach chairs so we were way off in the back corner right next to the chair massage location and i mean like in your space kinda close, that was a bit annoying. The room was nice and clean, beds comfortable but the walls are thin so you can hear everything if you know what I mean. We will go back as it is a great place for the kids. Loved having the pub right close by too, great beer and food.

Nice place on the strip. More of a small hotel in feel, good service.
Easy access to larger entertainment entities but hey this place has Blue Man too.
Has a newer feel...very clean...nice casino...good people.

Room Tip: Upper floors, stay away from hallway intersections (around elevators)

We reserved our room on Booking.com so we got a great price. The room was reasonably large and very clean. We had 2 adults and 2 kids and they brought us a roll away bed so the kids didn't have to share. With that there was still a decent amount of room to move about. They could use more electrical outlets though! It was quiet at night and the beds were comfortable. The hotel is directly across the streat from the Harley Davidson Cafe and it is easy to walk anywhere from there. There are 2 Starbucks in the lobby as well as a food court with subway, mcdonalds, sbarro and a hot dog place.
As with all Vegas hotels the stench of smoke in the public areas is overwhelming. We did not eat at any of the on site restaurants.

Room Tip: Ask for a view not of the parking lot!

Our whole family met here for my husband's birthday celebration. The hotel was very accomodating and put as many people as they could on the same floor. We arrived early morning Friday and couldn't check in right away and ended up not getting our room until that afternoon, which was a little annoying. The bell desk was very accomodating and very friendly about helping us with our bags and getting us settled in the room. We all had a wonderful time and the food was great! We have stayed here two other times in the past and have always liked this place. The hotel is showing it's age a little, but we still a great time and the rooms are very clean! The food and drinks are extremely expensive, but what can you expect from Vegas these days?
