What a great place, our room was beautiful- loved the view from the 31st floor, made our Honeymoon really special.
Check in was seemless, people were lovely and really really helpful. Coming from New Zealand we could learn alot from your customer service, alot of these reviews seem very very picky.
We got room service and the food was spectacular, we also really enjoyed dinner in one of your restaurants D'vinos (superb again) and watched Jabbawockeez (they were also great). Won't hesitate to recommend to any of our friends and family heading your way.

Room Tip: Ask for a strip view room

We stayed at this hotel as part of our honeymoon trip in America . Even though the hotel was extremely busy when we arrived we were checked in and in our room within 10mins!
The room was a little outdated but there was plenty of room, the bathroom was quite tatty but again there was plenty of space to make up for that and it was clean. The bathroom was also styled with marble which was a nice touch. Our room had a fantastic view overlooking the strip and the top of the casino.

Considering the hotel was so busy it was very quiet at night. We never had a chance to use the pool facilities as there is so much more to do in Las Vegas. We used the casino which in my opinion was one of the better ones to play at along the strip. It was also good to have several fast food restaurants within the complex aswel as a pub/nightclub type venue. There is also a bar type thing that serves frozen alcoholic drinks...definitely recommend getting one (or two!) of these!!

The hotel is in a good location, it's about a 10min taxi ride from the airport which cost us less than $15. It is also only a short walk to the MGM casino, New York New York casino and Excalibur casino.

I have already recommended this hotel to several of my friends who have recently made plans to go to Las Vegas. When I go back in a few years time I will definitely consider staying at this hotel again.

Room Tip: Try and ask for a room with a view of the strip.

A disorganized check-in. Once with a service representative the check-in is quick, but if there was a first come first serve set-up, everyone would get processed faster.
Prices are nuts. From buying a drink in a lounge, or the pub or pool, the food court, or the level restaurants, I could eat better for less in New York. We were in town for my birthday and to see Gart Brooks. We were not there to gamble much, but to relax and get some sun. That was impossible around the pool. It was more like spring break in Miami or Mexico. Loud thumping music at the pool made it impossible to relax. Cigarette smoke everywhere, pool, food court, casino, outside. American's constitutional right to kill themselves. Service was poor in most places, but the pub stood out as the worst. Bad enough that the dueling piano performers were horrible, but we went in later in the evening to have a drink and it took almost 30 minutes to get a drink. The rooms were clean, but no wireless Internet. You have got to get up to date. Finally, to survive it seems that Las Vegas is focused on young California youth. Too often it seemed as if many were auditioning for episodes of Real Housewives or Jersey Shores. For Canadians, there are better values elsewhere both in and out of the U.S.

Stayed at this hotel for just over a week in Sept. 2011.The Monte Carlo is in a good position
next door to the new part of town the Aria and Vdara being the new hotels in town.Check in was easy and quick and we had a nice room on the 28th floor, but maybe a bit to far from the lift.Room was clean and with two queen beds and a big enough bathroom.Plenty of places to eat and drink in the hotel the Pub being the best. This was our second visit to Vegas and the only downside were people walking around with their drinks but all in all a good holiday.

This was our second stay at the Monte Carlo in Las Vegas. We like the location - central strip with easy access to the MGM, Excalibur (from there free tram to Luxor or Mandalay) or the other side with free tram to Bellagio. We got a very good price for the room (Sunday through Wednesday) and even though the resort fee is steep ($16.80/night) - it is declared up front and you just have to fold it into your total cost.

Parking is a breeze and nice quick walk to reception. Wish they had a better system for the front desk. You basically pick a desk and then hope it will not take that long. Well.... just like in the supermarket - you always end up picking the wrong line! :-) They should just have one common line and then guide people to the next available counter. No biggie though.

First room we got was on the 17th floor and was a handicapped access room. No problem with that, however, when we entered the room you could hear the pounding of the DJ playing the hip-hop music at the pool. It was a little much for our taste, especially since we like to rest in the afternoon and that would be impossible with that music. Called front desk and were switched to a room on the other side of hotel on the 25th floor. Did not even have to go back down, keys were re-coded over the phone. No hassle at all.

Our room was very spacious and relatively updated. Furniture showed some wear, but nothing to be upset about. Bed was clean and comfortable. We requested softer pillows (the ones there were really firm and uncomfortable) and this was done no problem. Bathroom was OK, too. Shower was the only downside. Nozzle was very low and sprayed all the water directly in your face at a very strong pressure. Not very relaxing. Had some drainage issues, which were fixed no problem when we called service.

Unfortunately, we ended up having some very rude and loud neighbors, but that's not the hotel's fault. These 2 women got "home" at 6:00 AM and were exchanging their anecdotes at a noiselevel as though they were at a racetrack or something. They kept screaming and hootin' and hollerin, like it was nobody's business. By 7:00 AM, I finally had enough and went knocking on their door. I asked the woman who answered to please keep it down a little, and I was really nice about it - even called her Ma'am. She looked me up and down and then shouted at me: "we paid for this room" and slammed the door in my face. I ended up telling her through the door that we will call Security and that simmered her down to a noiselevel of "can deal with it as long as you have earplugs". Again, not the hotel's fault - but a bit of a downer. Just rude!

We had room service twice and it was a bit hit and miss, but overall no complaints. Once the fees and taxes and tip for room service is added, it does get a bit pricey though.

We ate at the cafe twice and again, no complaints. Friendly wait staff and decent food overall.

Dealers at the casino were friendly and drink service was always going around and very friendly, too.

Final verdict: we will stay here again. We like the location. The rooms are nice and as updated as possible for an older locale. Elevators are slow and could use some renovating, but that's not a big deal. Staff very friendly. Good Value for strip location.

Room Tip: If you are in your room during the day, do not choose a pool side room - the DJ will keep you feelin...
