“A Poem on the Venetian”
Reviewed April 28, 2009

We stayed here on 7/7/07 to get away,
yet it was a place you'd love to always stay.

The room was one of the best,
its class far exceeded all the rest.

My husband said it was the best he's ever stayed,
it's a memory that won't fade.

It was regal and fine,
although we didn't like all the noisy people in the cassino line.

While the rooms are really tranquill so you can take it easy,
I frankly thought the casino is kind of sleazy.

They had a fake river with gondolas outside,
but it doesn't do venice justice I have to confide.

Still it was cute but we didn't want to spend the cash,
because the ride would be gone in a flash!

There is a mall that's right next door,
It was really fun to stroll from store to store.

The mall had a ceiling that looked like the sky,
that you could imagine the birds just wanting to fly bye.

We got a good room rate from AAA,
however we couldn't stay more than a day.

That's because the rate would double in cost,
So we went to another hotel and felt lost.

I have been to Vegas 3 times and have stayed at three different resorts. The Venetian was by far my favorite. The rooms are huge! All rooms have a full living room with a sectional couch, table, desk, and entertainment centre. The bathroom has a bath, shower, tv, and two sinks in it. The Venetian isn't in the best location but it is a pretty good location.
The casino was one of the best and biggest, and the food was excellent.
If you are looking for a good location with luxury and great pool scene this is the right hotel for you.

My husband and I stayed at the Venetian March 20-23 as part of a group of six. The hotel is as opulent as the photos posted here make it out to be. The hotel is also as enormous as the previous posters have noted. The rooms are quite big; almost too big for 2 of us staying 3 days. However, they were elegantly appointed, clean and comfortable, with all of the upscale amenities you come to expect from a resort of this caliber. Check-in and other service points were efficient and good; however, poolside drink service was slow and disappointing. Please note that this resort is pricey (food, drinks, etc), and thus is not the place to stay if you are looking to do Vegas on a budget. But if you are looking for a 5 diamond elegant experience similar to the Bellagio, but with a bigger hotel room, this is your choice.

great location, opulent interiors, amazing pool scene
but not that good in service, v had asked for a non smoking room but had to wait in a queue to check in (!!) and then given a smoking room

the front desk staff refused to listen to my non smoking request until i demanded to see the manager after which i was given the correct room !

great restuarants on the property but not recommended for people who dont enjoy huge properties !

My favorite hotel on the Strip had always been The Mirage, but The Venetian has taken that title. I have stayed there the last few times to Las Vegas. With all of the competition on The Strip, the Venetian represents a great value. I have stayed in a large lavish room of about 1000 square feet there for about $200/night. You cannot beat that. Then go downstairs and check out the Guggenheim. Gaming is pretty good there, too. (I play blackjack.) The mall and the restaurants present a lot of choices from high end dining to fast food. This is my number one choice in Vegas now.

I stayed at the Venetian for a few nights attending a conference. I had a suite which turned out to be very luxurious and spacious. I'm not sure if it's the recession but the price was very reasonable for what I received, as compared to other stays in Las Vegas especially during a conference week.

As you enter the room a very large bathroom with separate shower and bath and tv is to the left. There is a separate toilet room from there. Proceeding down the hall is a king bed and past that a sunken area, separated by a iron railing that contains a large couch and living room area. The room is quite large and very luxurious with great high end finishings. It's hard to fault any of the aspects of the room. I can only say that for entertaining in your room, theHOTEL at Mandalay Bay is better set up in that you walk in to the living room with a separate bedroom but possibly one of the other suites at the Venetian also has this kind of setup if required. I really can't say anything negative about the room especially at the price. The three flat screens in the suite were maybe overkill but I loved the decadence of it.

The staff was first rate. I needed toothpaste and within minutes someone was at my door with a whole kit of toothbrush, toothpaste and mouthwash.

For a quick lunch I tried the Noodle House in the casino and was surprised to get somewhat authentic food at a good price. The only other restaurant I tried was the Lux Cafe for breakfast. it was fairly standard.

Having tried quite a few hotels in Vegas and enjoyed many of them, I have to say that the Venetian ranks up there with the best hotel room you'll probably ever stay in.
