Impressive entrance, friendly and speedy check-in, beautiful vaulted mall and then bang, you wrestle with your luggage negotiating the hoards of slot-machine aficionados and fast food joints, hopelessly trying to find the apparently unmarked route to the elevators. The rooms are lovely; spacious, clean, quiet, on two levels and the bathroom is huge and almost baroque in decor. Quite a fantasy ambiance and although I did not object to walking miles from the elevator on plush carpeting, I am speechless that this level of hotel make the guests walk through the down-market end of the casino to get to the elevators. Who designed this place? It is the size of a small town and you need never see daylight if you wish. The best place to eat is Sushisamba but take out a mortgage and use ear-plugs. Top marks for the bedroom, marks down for the resort fee, the remarkably weak alcohol...and housekeeping, who saw fit to bang on our door at 8 am. The bed is one of the most comfortable I have ever slept in, shame I didn't get a bit more sleep.

Room Tip: Walk the mile long corridors and get near the end of the building; fewer revelers pass your door. We...

Our 3 night stay was fantastic. Everyone was very friendly, the room with a sunken living room and remote curtains was perfect. Unfortunately we didn't get much of a chance to try the restaurants but the Grand Lux had everything we wanted without breaking the bank. The Venetian is the largest property in the world so they really have everything you could ever need under one roof. Yes, it's old-fashioned but that's the charm. The water, the gondolas, the singing, the sky was all very quaint and charming.

One great aspect of this hotel is that while it's not too far from the chaos of the strip, it's much calmer and you don't see any of the young drunks screaming at the top of their lungs. This will mean you'll see many older people, but we met many people in the elevators who had been going to the Venetian for years and swear by it.

That said, if you're a bachelor party, you'll want something else - Bellagio or Aria. But if you're a couple, family, friends who aren't looking to pick up, this is a great hotel.

Room Tip: You know the scene in Poltergeist where the hallway keeps getting longer and longer? That's a li...

I brought my husband to Vegas for the first time for his birthday. I picked the Venetian because of the great reviews and central location. We have vacationed in Venice so maybe I'm jaded against a knockoff but I wasn't that impressed. It was a large hotel but it's the little things for me, they don't have doorman, long check-in line, maids that didn't clean very well (we found food in our room from the previous guests) and other little things. Plus remember that on top of the price you pay for the hotel you pay a $25/night resort fee. The room didn't even have a robe or extra blanket. One positive for me was the spa, which is actually in the Plazzao. It was the first thing that exceeded my expectations! I went to the pool and waited over an hour before someone approached me to order a drink (it was not even 25% full) and then waited another 20 minutes for my drink to arrive. I was glad to leave at the end of 3 days.

Room Tip: All rooms are suite style and spacious.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for choosing The Venetian | The Palazzo as your host during your recent visit to Las Vegas. I am disappointed to learn that your visit was not a complete success, and apologize for the challenges you experienced. I apologize specifically about the lack of service that you experienced at the pool. It concerns me deeply that you were not provided personalized Unmatched Guest Service at the pool as is our standard here at The Venetian | The Palazzo.

I also wanted to take a moment and clarify our resort fee. Many guests enjoy the abundant benefits that the resort fee offers. Included in the fee is complementary internet access, access to our fitness center, a complementary cup of coffee from Cafe Presse and daily newspaper among many other benefits. I am apologizing specifically that all the benefits of the resort fee were not more clearly explained to you.

I am disappointed to read that you did not want to return to The Venetian | The Palazzo. Earning each and every guest’s future loyalty by providing them with unmatched accommodations and service is of paramount importance to The Venetian | The Palazzo; therefore, if there is anything we can do to earn your loyalty please do not hesitate to reach out to our Guest Relations office directly.

Kind Regards,

Kirsten Dimond

Room was very nice.....lousy view though. Stayed at Hooters ( I know I know) before and had a view that was 20 x better.....room not so much. Had to change rooms to get closer to elevator....felt like 5 miles away....in fact everything was 5 miles away which I didn't like with my bad back. Bed was super comfortable...Impressive poker room at the Venetian which I enjoyed..well run, nice staff, plenty of tables at all hours. Disappointing hot tub/jacuzzi which was a surprise...warm and not even close to hot water that everyone complained about....was far away from the pool which was weird. I like to do the pool then hot tub then back to pool so this was inconvenient. Drinks at the pool were way overpriced.... Only loungers and no chairs....pool area was average in my opinion. Nice places to eat and cheaper ones if you wanted. No live music...had to go to adjoining hotel to find that, which was nice. Avis rental in hotel gouged us ....whole other story. Overall had a good time but a little surprised at some of the issues stated above. Overall rating would be 3.5. Depends on what you are looking for in a hotel.

Room Tip: Close to the elevators unless you don't mind a good hike to get to anywhere.

It was a lot of money, but man is it worth it. The hotel is beautiful, and our suite was heavenly. We stayed in a Bella Suite in the Venezia tower, which has a large living area, bed area and a huge bathroom with roman bath and amazing shower.
The only complaints I had were that our Suite was a looooong way from the hotel foyer, and the swimming pool (it's a bit small for the hotels size, and because of the size of the buildings, so areas are completely in shade for hours at a time). Obviously you don't go to Vegas to lounge by a pool, but if you have a few hours to kill it would be ideal to grab a sun lounger for a while, but the loungers go quickly- especially on the weekend!

My husband and I spent out 30th wedding anniversary at the Venetian - we made a very good choice!!! It was our first trip to Las Vegas and this hotel offered everything imaginable - without ever having to leave. It was more than clean - it was immaculate. It was beyond beautiful!! The staff were so pleasant and nice each time we had a question about anything. The food at the food court was good and the prices weren 't too bad - we are from NC so things were a little more expensive but we knew that would be the case as friends who had been had already told us to bring lots of money. We absolutely have no complaints. From the time we checked in which was so quick and easy to check-out also quick and easy, we are well pleased. The room was absolutely beautiful. We have never stayed anywhere this nice and would love to come back and spend more time there as we were not able to do all that we wanted to because we only had a few days BUT we definitely want to go back and see what we missed! LOVED IT, LOVED IT!!
