Ok, so having never been to Vegas, we got lost trying to find it, but that was to be expected I guess. My family had been on a 17 day road trip from California to Minnesota and back. We stayed in hotels every night on the trip. We were trying to make it home, but were exhausted, so we decided to book with Days Inn because it is a Wyndham property and we get points. Days Inn was $39.99+tax for 2 double beds. It worked for us seeing as all we were looking for were beds to sleep in. Rhonda checked us in, and she was FANTASTIC! She told us about the preferred card for the casino which didn't matter since we had no intention of gambling. We checked into our room and yes, the room was a bit tiny, but no worries it worked. The room was very clean (especially considering it was a pet room) smelled freshly cleaned and the bed was amazingly, and surprisingly comfortable. Rhonda gave us cards for free coffee and free breakfast at Denny's, so we awoke and went to breakfast. The food was good and filling, but the service was abysmal. I realize it is a free breakfast so the servers don't feel the need to take care of you, however, we would have tipped her generously except we made specific requests to her (Yvette) for extra cream for the coffee, and not only did she not do what was asked but she didn't check in on us and we had to ask another server for silverware because apparently in Vegas you eat with your hands???? After breakfast we decided to use the preferred cards and get our free gambling credits. Each of us got $3.00 (I expected nothing less, since they tell you anywhere from $3.00-$500) and I put my card into a game called "Montezuma" and for the first time in my life I won...I won $327.00, not bad seeing as it wasn't even my hard-earned money. I had asked for a late check-out earlier in the morning and was told staying until 1pm would be complementary. So when we left, I was feeling good about the hotel and casino (Denny's not so much!!) But later in the afternoon out credit card company called to let us know they feared a stolen card because there was THREE charges from Days Inn and the initial amount for the room was $25 more than our receipt says. In addition, there are 2 more charges. We had zero incidentals, no movies, no calls on phone, no safe so I have no idea where these are coming from...thankfully our bank declined one of the charges under the fraud protection, but now we have to go through the dispute process on the overage and the other charge. In summary: They would have gotten excellent for a review from us, but they got greedy and now I'm p'ed off!! Never Again. Thank you Days Inn for a wonderful bed that cost us as much as if we had stayed at the Luxor!!!!!

The outside of the Wild Wild West Days Inn in Las Vegas is misleading. It looks to be a bit run down, but the rooms are very clean and the bed was top notch as well as the shower. It was basic but all that one might need. My room on the back was very quiet even though there were motor cycles, etc. The Casino was small but really had a comfortable, fun vibe. Free coffee that was tasty was in the gift shop, and a free Denny's breakfast was super! Two blocks in back of NYNY and Excalibur...so really convenient to the strip and the price was very right and the hotel staff were great!
