We just returned from a long weekend anniversary trip. We chose TI for its central strip location, and it was indeed very easy to get to all the other major hotels. We were pleased with the clean, comfortable room (except that the shower had really bad water pressure), but our favorite thing about TI was its restaurants -- we enjoyed two cheap, huge breakfasts at The Coffee Shop and had a lovely romantic dinner at Isla, where the mole was the best we've ever tasted. We'd definitely stay at TI again!

Stayed at Treasure Island Feb 16-19 and loved it. The atmosphere is great as well as the location. Missed the Sirens show but heard it was good. Friendly dealers and a great buffet as well, went there once for dinner and once for breakfast. Only problem is no Texas Hold'em tournaments yet...next door at the Mirage is the place to go for those. Overall though, I would stay at TI again for sure.

My husband and I were visiting Las Vegas for the first time in January 2006 from the UK and were keen to pick a nice hotel to stay in. After much searching, we opted for the Treasure Island hoping it would suit our taste for somewhere nice but not snooty. We weren't disappointed.

The Hotel was lovely and clean, the rooms spacious and well equipped with hairdryer, iron and ironing board, TV with access to films and internet and a fairly large bathroom with bath, shower and large vanity area. We opted for a high floor strip view room and found it great. I suspect the rooms on the lower floors may be noisy as the Casino was very busy at all hours. The rooms were cleaned every day and the towels changed daily and we had no gripes with any of the services we obtained. The only fly in this ointment was the little fella who guards the elevators at night to ensure only guests go up there. Whilst the sentiment is great, the attitude of this little Hitler is awful. He's rude and sarcastic and generally a pain in the rear.

The Hotel itself has a large and busy casino, various eating places to suit most budgets and one or two shops for snacks, gifts, maps etc. We found the Italian Restaurant and Steakhouse in the hotel expensive but the Buffet and Canters Deli were more reasonable.

Travellers Tips?
Keep an eye this and other hotels and try to book only a week or two before you go. When we first starting looking for a 10 day stay here it was showing $2500, by the time we booked, it had dropped to $1400. It seems they reduce their prices daily in order to fill the rooms.

For a real fun Casino, try playing Blackjack at the Imperial a little further up the strip. They have "Dealertainers" dressed up as the Blues Brothers, Elvis etc and they take it in turns to deal the cards and perform on the centre podium. Look out for "Elwood" he's just lovely with first time players!

There are plenty cash machines in the hotel and all around so foreign travellers don't need to worry about exchanging much currency before they travel. The rates that came back on my credit card were better than I got from the bank before I left.

Be aware that all prices shown are before tax is added, it's not a great deal but generally puts about $7 on every $50 spent.

Watch out for "friendly" people pouncing on you every two minutes offering free shows, they want you to sit through a 2 hour timeshare session to get it. If you tell them you're going home tomorrow, they leave you alone!

Sunday is Buffett and a half day. We went to the Mandalay Bay and had a fabulous buffett (on par with most others price wise) but this one includes free champagne on Sundays.

Cabs from the airport are around $15 for the Treasure Island though you can go in style and opt for Limo at around $45, there are Limo drivers in suits at the airport exits offering these services and they are well worth it!

Stayed at TI in a petite suite for the Valentine's Day week. Have never stayed at TI before so this was a first. It's a good location but smaller than most of the other mega resorts. Made it easier to get in and out of. The walkways to Venetian, Fashion show mall, and tram to Mirage help a lot. The casino itself is a bit small and dark and smoky at times. Some of the staff seemed very helpful while others looked like they were going through the motions. Check in ticked me off big time!!! We got there early (around 10:15am) and were told to come back when check-in started at 11am. WHAT??? We knew we werent getting a room that early but to have to come BACK to check in? Well when we did come back at 11 there was a LINEEEEEEEEEEEEE that we had to wait in for half an hour to check in. Couldnt get an upgrade cause it was booked solid, couldnt get strip view cause the rooms wouldnt be ready until we had to be someplace, so we got mountain view room which wasnt bad at all (spouse said I loved looking right at the mall LOL) Room was very nice, furnishings a bit older, bed was nice, LOVED the two seperate bathrooms and that whirlpool tub was great! The room was rather dark as the one window in there was too small for all the room area. Bell service was great, maid service was a bit erratic (sometimes left washcloths, sometimes didnt) Checkout wasnt as bad but still a line. This hotel is good for location and price but DONT try it if you want a pool in the summer. Pool is DINKY!!!!!! Would we go back? maybe in the non pool months and only if we could get a suite again.

The hotel is in the heart of the Las Vegas activity. Accommodations were large and clean and very comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend it.

This was an anniversary trip. We liked the location, it was close to the shows that we wanted to see. The hotel is very nice and our room was very clean and comfortable, with pleasing decor. Since it was our anniversary, we asked at check-in if there were any upgrades available. Unfortunately they were sold out, but they did give us a room with a nice view of the strip. However, upon our arrival, as a suprise a family member ordered from the hotel flowers and a rather sizeable gift certificate. We got the flowers (which were beautiful) but didn't recieve the gift certificate until almost midnight the night before our 7:00 am departure. It took them almost an hour to locate it and we were told that they most likely would not reimburse us. After talking with two different managers we were given cash for the certificate. They had to... the envelope was stamped with the day and time it was ordered. If it had not been marked, based on the response we got, we wouldn't have been reimbursed. This was a dissapointing end to a nice stay.
