“Love TI”
Reviewed January 7, 2013

My wife and I visit Vegas about 3 times a year and over the past several years have stayed at 10 different strip properties from NYNY on the low end to Encore on the high end. We don’t really gamble and mostly go to Vegas to enjoy the shows, restaurants, lounges and occasional club, shopping and overall Vegas vibe. This was our third stay at TI.

TI is definitely one of our favorite hotels and we will never hesitate to stay there. It has a great location across from Venetian, Palazzo and the Fashion Mall, and connects by tram with the Mirage. Though not as lavish as many of the 5 star hotels, TI has some of the most comfortable, nicely decorated and well-maintained rooms on the strip. In fact, the decor, architecture and color scheme used throughout the entire hotel and casino is as nice and attractive as any second-tier hotel in Vegas. The entire hotel has a very comfortable and cozy feel, and is very inviting. TI may not have the energy of Planet Hollywood or Caesars, or have the entertainment vibe of Mirage or MGM Grand, but you can’t beat this hotel for sheer comfort. The staff at TI has always been very helpful and pleasant, and strives to please its guests.

Some would say that TI suffers a bit from an identity crisis with its’ pirate show and Western, Hawaiian and Mexican-themed restaurants and clubs (Gilleys, Kahunaville and Senior Frogs), but that’s partly what adds to TI’s charm. It’s kind of like the Disneyland of strip hotels. It has something for everyone, although it does not have a true nightclub for hard-core clubbers. It does have one of our favorite and more reasonably-priced coffee shops on the strip, and a Pho-Vietnamese restaurant which are both great. I recommend you catch the bikini bull-riding at Gilley’s on Sunday nights if you are in to that kind of thing and enjoy some shock and awe.

On this recent stay we had a corner room on a high floor which had two separate windows giving a fantastic panoramic view of different parts of the north strip. The bathroom is very nice and though not that large, it is also not too small like at some other hotels. The beds at TI are very comfortable. One word of caution, if you get a room facing the pirate show, plan on quite a bit of noise (including explosions) during the early and late evening hours.

We will definitely be staying at TI again in the future.

Room Tip: If you get a room facing or near the pirate show, plan on quite a bit of noise (including explosions...

I found the hotel serice was good. Room was clean and that is very important to me. The locations is great. The only draw back is not enough places to eat. Coffee you have to get at the bar. The breakfast restaurant dosen't have take out coffee they told me to get it from the bar.Other wise good clean hotel.

This was the second time we've stayed at TI, & the reasons we keep returning are location, PRICE, spectacular strip views, & comfortable beds.
In a previous trip we stayed at the Ceasar Palace, it was so much more expensive and the rooms were not as good as in TI
The casino was packed, but cocktail/drink service was good.

.

Try Treasure Island. You won't regret it.

Room Tip: Request a room with a strip view, on an upper floor. Amaaaaazing views!!

Reception staff were friendly and quick at checkin patrons, considering there were "millions" of people waiting. Room was clean and quiet. the bed was cosy.
Casino is looking a quite tied and the watresses weren't very friendly and took a long time/if at all to bring drinks.
security was great for NYE - needed room card to get to lifts and back into the TI property after the fireworks.

Suddenly decided to bolt to Vegas and this sounded like what we were looking for. (Yes, I knew about the resort fee...but if you love/use hotel fitness centers, in-room wifi, food, drinks and boarding passes, it is a actually good deal.)

We arrived at 10 and were allowed to check in early at 11 after a short wait. Finding the elevator was bit of a treasure hunt. The room was tastefully appointed, clean and comfy - great pillowtop mattress - and quiet and had a stunning view of the Strip and the mountains. The bathroom was a relaxing marble escape. There's a safe, an iron, a small fridge and two luggage stands. (You know you're on your own for coffee.) The room was warm when we arrived, but the cooling quickly took care of that. You can also open a vent for some fresh air if you like. It smelled perfectly clean.

Every staffer I encountered was knowlegeable, friendly and helpful. The fitness center was quite nice with new equipment; had a nice workout. I did not try the spa. We ate at the buffet on the early side the next day and waited maybe 10 minutes; the food was good and the service was great. Meats and poultry seem to be tastier in this town than fish; not surprising as you are in the desert after all. Desserts were very good. I did not try the other restaurants or bars there but people seemed to be enjoying them quite a bit ...

Of course, you are there to enjoy the glittering playground that is Vegas, and part of what makes this hotel cool is it's close to many attractions and useful things. Lively "Sirens" show and fireworks outside four times each night; Wynn, Palazzo and Venetian, plus Macy's Saks and Nieman Marcus across the street; Tram to Mirage next door if you don't care to walk. Oh and the 24-hour Walgreen's across the street is sooooo handy and budget-friendly. The casino at TI is small but nice, and had very little odor of cigarette smoke, unlike many of the others I visited.

Last night I printed out our boarding passes in 30 seconds flat and repaired to the room, where I enjoyed the lovely view for one last night. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.

Stayed at TI in summer 2012 (yes very late). Hotel over all is nice, well maintained, nice casino. The value was not worth it. The pool was always busy and not worth the hassle of trying to find seats. A lot of the other hotels had less people. I guess TI was booked solid. We had to book another night and they charged us double what was originally paid. Total rip off. I also heard they raised their price on FB; TI stated that thegy are busy which justified their price increase. Although it was a great time, you can def. find a better bang for your buck on the strip!

The wife and I stayed at TI for the first time for New Years. Our stay was great!! The hotel staff was excellent. I really want to thank the house keeping staff. We forgot to take our (privacy please) sign off of the door before we left the room fgorf the day. We got back at 11:00pm and called the front desk to ask if we could get clean towels. The house keeper on duty insisted on cleaning our room. The wife and I went out for a few hours and the room was cleaned spotless.

This hotel went above and beyond to make our stay great. Thanks TI for a great stay. Well see you soon!

Room Tip: Get a strip view room. Its well worth it.
