This property is the place to stay when in Las Vegas. The rooms are very clean and the beds sleep great. The rooms are comfortable and have a home like feeling to them. The property does not offer any gambling, but does have a pool, jacuzzi, and excercise facility.

The location of the hotel is just off the strip; not far at all, but definitely far enough to not be disturbed by all the noise. When booking the rooms, we had no problem, but when we arrived at the hotel it was a nightmare. We had several family members coming into town to stay at carriage house because this was a big family vacation. One family member made all the reservations so when we got there, the front desk staff would not let anyone check into their room (even though we had confirmation numbers) because the 1 family member that made reservations for the other 20 family members was not there.

The other thing to know when staying here is that while most hotels hold or require a deposit of $50 to $100 for incidentals, The Carriage House requires $200, which is almost unheard of.

We stayed at the Carraige House and thouroughly enjoyed the experience, Bathroom was a good size with an enormous shower area but a small bathroom area. Rooms were a bit shabby but very clean and the service of all staff was superb. Being able to buy milk and bread on the premises was a plus although there was a Walgreens near the Market place which we used. A plus was that we were not pressurised by time share sales people Would certainly go back again.

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing Planet Hollwood as they are quieter than those on the north side where the met...

We have been going there for many years. Plenty of parking. They have a nice grilling area if you want to throw a couple of steaks on the grill. Ask for one of the recently remodeled rooms.

Being frequent visitors (one to two times a year) we are over the high end casino restaurants. One tip is to get hip on the happy hour deals. A lot of the high end steak houses have half price apps 4 to 6 pm plus a drink special or two. If you have a car Blue Martini has the best happy hour in Vegas. Located south on las vegas blvd in Town Square the drinks and apps are half price. The seared ahi tuna is only $9.
If you don't gamble vegas is very affordable.

Room Tip: The strip side can be quieter as the back side has a busy street below.

Closeness...my favorite thing about this hotel.

Parking lot close to hotel entry. No need to walk 5-10 minutes through a hotel/casino, then find the car in a "Seinfeld" like gargantuan garage. No valet to call, then tip.

Rooms close to elevator & entry. The time from leaving your room to leaving the hotel is no longer than 3-5 minutes. No long winding corridors.

Hotel close to the Strip. We always walked to & from the Strip. Took no longer than 5-10 minutes to walk to Crystal Shopping Center, Aria, Cosmopolitan, etc.

Our room had a nice view of the MGM Signature Towers & pools, & the Spring Mountains. While the rooms are clean & adequate, the decor is moderate budget hotel.

The kitchen was a necessity since I do not like to eat in restaurants 2-3 times daily. The kitchen made up for the small workout room & the small pool being closed for winter. There was free WIFI & a business center for printing.

Service was a little inconsistent. Some staff people were friendlier than others. We were never contacted by time share people. While I did not use their services, I noticed many people using Concierge service to arrange tours, shows, etc.

The only negative I remember were loud conversations in the hallway around 7am. They occurred almost every morning. Sometimes it seemed to be the neighbors, other times the maintenance/cleaning staff. Either way it was annoying since I generally awake around 8am.

The hotel does not have a casino. On the top floor a former restaurant space is now vacant.

Due to the good location, kitchen, & reasonable rates I would return.

We appreciated the peace & quiet on our 7th floor room, one long block from the new City Center on the strip. Since we had a car it was much easier to drive anywhere we wanted to go on the backroads paralleling Las Vegas Blvd. We used the pool & hot tub to relax one day, the bed was wonderful too. We had a full kitchen that was used every morning for breakfast. Most of the fellow guests were what I would call seniors (so are we) which made it a peaceful place to stay for the week we were there. This was a great home base for exploring the whole area. Don't miss Red Rock Canyon and Hoover Dam.

Room Tip: we were upgraded for free because we needed a non smoking room and RCI did not tell them when we tra...

We got a great deal on this hotel using a timeshare certificate we purchased. No complaints about the value. The room was average - dated and worn, slightly more spacious than a regular king room with a very small bathroom. It was quite, clean and comfortable. We only used it as a "home base" to sleep. We weren't approached by the timeshare sales other than a message on the phone inviting us to a meeting.

If you are looking for a place to stay off of the strip and still be close to the hustle and bustle, then I recommend it. Short walk to the Miracle Mile shops in Planet Hollywood. We had breakfast and lunch at several places in the mall and it was quite convenient and not over-priced at all. It is also close to City Center.

We took a recommendation from another reviewer and went to Ellis Island. We drove because it was cold in Vegas last week but it would be a short walk - right behind - Planet Hollywood. The ribs were fantastic and so was the beer that they brew on site. That's all they served though - BBQ chicken and ribs. Not hard to choose!

We stayed here on an October visit. The location is very good. In New York-speak, it's about 2 short blocks (or less than 1 long block) off the strip. This turns out to be a great spot because it's close enough to walk anywhere, but far enough off the strip that noise isn't a problem. Great for sleeping in after long nights.

Internet worked fine. Staff was courteous. Check-in was quick and efficient. Room was clean and relatively large. Seems to me that they wasted a little space with the dead space in the kitchen, but still, it was plenty of roomy enough. We slept in the single BR while a friend used the pullout in the living room area. Bathroom counters pace was skimpy. Some people used the pool, but we didn't visit. Looked fine but unspectacular from our room.

One complaint..... we were in a non-smoking room, but the elevator and hallways (even on our floor) smelled extremely smoky. However, there was no trace in our room.

Definitely a great place to stay.
