“Amazing hotel”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 2, 2013

Stayed at Aria June 26-July 1 with my wife. 4th time in Vegas but our 1st time at this hotel and will be back for sure. We are a couple in our early 30's and enjoyed everything about Aria. We stayed in a basic room on the 50th floor that was amazing, i cant even imagine what the suites are like. Bed is probably the most comfy I have ever slept in. If I had to complain about 1 thing it would be the table mins. Me and my wife enjoy playing Pai Gow but couldn't find a table with less than a $50 min. No problem though, we just gambled somewhere else. Would recommend this hotel to anyone looking to have a great time in Vegas without getting stupid as Aria seem to be a bit out of reach of the drunken party goers.

I travelled here on business and this is where my company put me up. I was very pleased with the room. It was large, comfortable, nicely appointed, with a great bathroom. The soaking tub/shower enclosure was so nice that I wouldn't mind having it in my home. All the room controls are done through the TV remote control: TV, lights, curtains. Very modern. I would have liked to have more time to enjoy the rest of the hotel, but because I was on a business trip and only there for two nights, I didn't have time. I would definitely come back for a return stay for pleasure!

My wife and I booked this hotel based on all the reviews from Trip Advisor reviewers. We came here for a little two day vacation but had to work a little too. Now I know that some people may view things differently or review things differently but this hotels isn't the modern miracle that changed Las Vegas. Here is why:

Internet Speed:

The complimentary internet that comes with the resort fee is way way way too slow. It takes forever and a day to download a web page or video. For a modern gadget driven hotel the internet for hotel guest STINKS.

The All In One Controller in the Hotel Room

The devise is supposed to be sensitive to touch and well it is not. I tried using the all in one controller in my friends room at the Aria just to make sure it wasn't just mine and guess what they both do not work properly. You find yourself having to press and repress buttons just to get them controller to accept your command. Good luck trying to change the channel to the TV with this controller. No way jose. Your better off using the old school remote control for the TV then the all in one smart devise. Lastly, the All in one smart device cant leave its docking station, otherwise it will shut off. Seriously modern Aria hotel, why cant it leave the docking station? Why do I have to be attached to the bed by the nightstand to change the channel?

The Bathroom:

The bathroom is nice and its modern and I have no complaints except for that all the other 5 star hotels on the strip that I have stayed at (Mandalay Bay, the Bellagio and the Encore) all have televisions in the bathroom and the Aria does not. But, they do have this awesome feature in which the Spa is actually inside the shower. That's pretty nice. The problem in the shower is that the shower head is not mobile. you actually have to sit under the rainwater shower head to take a shower. This is kind of odd though design wise because the seating area in the shower is so far away from the shower head and because the shower head is not mobile well you cannot sit down and take a shower. Ok I know I am being picky but this is supposedly a 4 Diamond hotel so I am going to hold it to the 4 Diamond Standard.

Floor to Ceiling windows:

This is a very nice touch. The non city view is just as nice as the city view if you are on one of the higher levels. My advice do not pay the premium they charge for a city view. I don't think it is worth it.

The Beds

The beds are super comfortable and nice. I loved it so no complaints with the bed here

The Buffet

We had the dinner buffet here. Let me tell you the dinner buffet is AVERAGE, AVERAGE, AVERAGE, AVERAGE. The presentation was horrible and the variety in this buffet is nowhere near the variety at Wicked buffet or the buffet at Caesars. My advise is do not pay for the average dinner buffet here. It will almost certainly disappoint you.

The Pools

The pools are a nice oasis in the middle of the strip. I like the pools at Aria as opposed to Mandalay Bay and MGM grand as they are not to crowded with kids. The pools are a bit shallow though, only 3 feet deep. For a hot summer day the pool is a nice oasis on the strip.

The Casino Floor

I don't gamble but he Casino floor and lobby is nice. Standard games, lots of space.

Location

The location of this hotel is very central on the strip and close to everything.

Advice

Stay here if you want to try something new and you want to be in the middle of the strip. I think if your looking for a more gadgety and modern hotel, I would stay at Encore. If you want a better breakfast buffet, go to Caesars. If you want a rowdy pool scene stay at MGM or Mandalay Bay. If you want to be at a place with better shopping stay at The Venetian.

If your looking for your "traditional" Vegas resort like Bellagio, Caesars, Paris, etc. then this is not the hotel for you. This is a very modern, cool, trendy hotel. You have a wide variety of people here from families, to young couples, to the party people, to grandparents! The hotel is huge so you never feel like its packed unless on the casino floor on a Friday or Saturday night.

The hotel upgraded us to an amazing junior suite for $40 TOTAL - I did the sandwich trick.

Only ate at Cafe Venti late one night, it was great and did the job. Jean Phillipe was amazing for snacks.

Pools are decent. You have Liquid if your looking to do a pool party or 3 other large pools to hang and relax. Nothing wrong with these pools I just prefer pools like the Hard Rock or Mandalay Bays that have water slides, a beach, etc..

Overall Aria is GREAT - I would stay here again in a second. Great location, very accommodating, great staff, and good amenities. You cant go wrong with Aria if your looking for something modern and fun.

Room Tip: Do the sandwich trick - It works!

Had a great time at ARIA. Beautiful rooms which are very clean. Great pool area. Friendly staff. Great central location on the Strip. My wife and I were on vacation in Las Vegas for my Brother-in-laws 40th Birthday. We had a wonderful experience staying at the ARIA. I will be recommending this hotel to other family members and friends. Thank ARIA.
