“Great Location, but Tiny Rooms”
Reviewed October 18, 2013

If you want to move this up to a better rating, make sure you book at least the one-bedroom, not the studio unless you spend little time in your room. They have either a sofa bed or a murphy bed and you need it folded up to navigate the room or eat. There is only 1 chair otherwise to sit in and none on any balcony, which means you won't use this nice feature.

Good things - the pool upstairs is nice, with gas barbecues in case you want to cook. We liked the cabanas, because we don't want the sun beating down, but like being outside. The little store is better than most hotel stores, with a large selection of food and drink. The people there are really helpful and we valued that. We got a ride to a grocery store, which makes the trip more affordable. And ask the concierge for help - they can book anything and often have discounts for you.

Being a little off-strip, the hotel is quiet, yet still centrally located across from Aria, so you don't need/want a car.

Room Tip: Go for the one-bedroom or bigger unless you spend all your time away from the hotel. Very few smoki...

My husband and and I stayed at the Polo Towers for a week 9/1/13. We were very pleased with our accommodations. 1 bedroom with a king sized bed. Large bathroom with jacuzzi tub and 2 sink/ vanities. Also a living room and kitchen and dining area. All very clean!!!! Maid service supplied clean towels daily, emptied garbage cans, and made our bed daily. Polo Towers is in a great location and you have free parking. It sits behind the Hawaiian Market next to Planet Hollywood, and is conveniently close to the ticket kiosk for the discount show tickets. My husband and I like to walk and from the Polo Towers we walked to the Mirage ,New York New York, Caesars Palace,Bellagio, Paris and the Eiffel Tower, all the way down to Treasure Island. The staff was very nice and we had no complaints. They also have a very nice pool on the top floor which we did not have a chance to use . I would definitely stay here again!!!

While this timeshare/hotel would get 5 stars for location, rooms, and overall staff customer focus it dtops the ball when we talk about housekeeping. twice within 6 months we've returned to our room (after being gone all day) to find that the same used towels were still on the floor where we left them. althougt the hotel guide states that we'll get towel and trash service every day, the housekeeping staff chooses which rooms to service. this recent incident occured at 3:30 in the afternoon. housekeeping carts were on thr floor all.day but when i.returned to the room after a day at.the pool...no carts/no service. i called housekeeping and they tol me i had to let them know when the room was free.(i thought that's what the do not disturb card was for).i tol them the room was ready for them and 1 hour later they still had not arrived. lazy?

My husband and I had a resort certificate to use with our other timeshare ownership, so we decided to go to Vegas for the long holiday weekend in October. I was happy about the location of this hotel, and that it DID NOT have a casino in it!!! That was a huge plus! We were in and out of many of the hotel/casino's along the strip, and we were constantly seeing people pulling their luggage behind them through the casinos, making their way to their rooms or to the front lobby to checkout. We stayed in a studio room, which was just perfect for my husband and I. It had a murphy bed (more comfortable than some beds I've slept in at 4 star resorts!) and a mini fridge, sink, and microwave. We had prepared ahead of time, and planned to eat breakfast and lunch in our room, which worked out well. There are several shops just out front of this hotel (7-11, a Walgreens about 1 block South, as well as the Hawiaan Marketplace with numerous stores) to get items you may want to stock up on for your room, The resorts' convinence store of course is a little more pricy, but since we were arriving about 11pm and weren't sure of the location of these other stores, we decided to get our milk and bread at the resorts' store.
The location of this resort is very central. The duce (double decker all day bus for $8) stops right out front of this resort on LV Blvd. Planet Hollywood is directly across the strees (to the North) and NY NY, MGM, and the Monte Carlo are just South of this resort (about two blocks). There are many things you can walk to and the bus is easy to catch as well all up and down this part of the strip. We'd stay here again if we return to Vegas. The rooms were clean and were serviced daily with clean towels (we were there for 1 week). No complaints whatsoever. For anybody not renting a car at the airport, take a taxi instead of the shuttles from the airport. We waited FOREVER on a Friday night around 11pm to get the Shuttle, and then it was about another 35 min to our hotel (for $15 for the two of us). We took a taxi on our return to the airport, and it was only about $12 for the two of us and only took about 10 minutes. The only negative I have is that we were on the 2nd floor, and every morning about 7:30am, we could hear the garbage trucks unload the dumpsters. Other than that, no complaints. Great location!

Room Tip: Ask for a higher level room if possible.

In Vegas it's all about location and this is situated practically on the strip opposite Monte Carlo hotel . I would have given it 5 star but the wifi wasn't free and the "free shuttle " to the airport was 7 dollars each one way! It's a very reasonably priced hotel we asked for a balcony but couldn't use it ....no chairs on it and only 1 in the room.

Not sure what we were getting when you book somewhere "just off the strip" but this was in a perfect location for the price. It is only half a block from the centre of the strip with a one-storey Travelodge the only thing in the way. This means you had a clear view of the strip day & night.
2 minute walk and you are at Planet Hollywood and a minute away from the Aria on the other side of the road. 5 minutes more and you can watch the Bellagio fountains!
Suites are a decent size and ours was really a one bedroom apartment with a studio attached, but this was perfect for us. My wife and I stopped in the main room and my adult daughter had some privacy in her own studio at night but we had all the doors open in the day.
Hotel a little tired in places but lots of space and good value compared to what you would pay for this space 1/2 a mile away.
Rooftop pool a plus on the nice days with a good view as well of the surrounding area.

Room Tip: Rooms with a view over the Travelodge towards the strip are best.

I used Interval International to use my timeshare exchange to stay here.

Do not expect a full service resort. The convenience store is all you get when you want food. The pool and exercise room are sufficient for this type hotel.

But....the location just off the strip across from City Center and the rooms are why I would definitely go back. We were a 5 minute walk from the Duece/SDX stop just north of MGM. This stop is much better than walking to the stop at Paris.

The rooms were very clean and the linens were much better than I expected. The towels were very soft. Our beds were made almost every day. This is unusual for timeshare exchange.

A few very minor complaints...the shower heads are about 5'9" above the tub or shower floor. Fine for me but if you are over 6' get ready to bend over. We were on the back of the front tower and the trash truck came at about 7:00AM. If the windows are open it may wake you up. If they are closed...it still may wake you up if you are on a lower floor. We were on the 12th floor and it was still loud with the windows closed.

The front desk check in procedure was quick and the employees were very nice.

So...use Polo Towers as your home base. The hotel is great if you aren't looking to spend a lot of time on the grounds.

I will go back.

Room Tip: Rooms in the back of the front tower don't have the noise of the strip but they do have trash tr...

We regret to read that you may have had some noise related issues during your stay here at Polo Towers. We would like to assure you that should any of our guests not be fully satisfied with their apartment we would always do our best to improve the quality of their stay. We are sorry if this was not the case on this occasion. We are glad however that you appear to have had an otherwise pleasant stay and that you may be coming back in the future.
