“The Tower for Sure!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 18, 2013

There is a FREE shuttle from the airport directly to Palace Station, do not pay the shysters that take you from hotel to hotel! Our reservationist took the time to get us a great discount, AAA ,in a non-smoking room with comfortable double queen beds. Open and spacious, nicely decorated - bathroom was well planned out. We would have liked a coffee maker, but Starbucks was convenient, and coffee in the restaurants was good, and they always offered a go-cup. My only issue was house keeping, the hair dryer was missing, I called for a replacement and got an iron- borrowed hairdryer from next door, easier and quicker. Restaurants were good, Mexican was excellent. Don't gamble - casino was smokey. Would definitely book at Palace again.

Room Tip: In Vegas the view at night is much better than during the day, so choose a pool with no lights at ni...

This hotel is a little bit away from the strip but they run a bus so its fine.

The room was amazing, very clean, modern and comfortable.

We stayed at the top of the tower with a view onto the strip, it was breathtaking for our first night in Vegas.

The do a really cheap and amazing breakfast buffet too.

We spent four nights in early October here as part of a small convention. Staying in the tower was highly recommended and we did. The room was attractive, modern, clean, and comfortable. Only wish it had had a coffee maker; however, there is a Starbucks on the main floor near the casino plus plenty of other restaurants located there, too. There are several good places to eat, Highly recommend the Italian restaurant. The Grand Cafe is a good all day and late evening place to eat as well. We found the service in both to be attentive and friendly. We went to the Italian one 10 minutes before it closed, but they still treated us as valued customers, not late comers. All in all a good value.

Room Tip: Choose the tower not the courtyard.

We stayed in a double/double in the Courtyard for only $34.00 per night, including the resort fee which ian an incredible bargain. The beds and the room were fine--no tub, but a shower large enough for two. While the carpet in the hallway was somewhat aged, the room was only steps from the parking lot, which is rare in Las Vegas.

The food choices were excellent, and having grown up by the Chesapeak Bay, I found their Raw Bar to be among the best I have ever visited. The Feast Buffet was great and at $7.99pp it was as good or better than most others at two or three times the cost. Our favorite was the Grand Cafe with its $4.99 Las Vegas Shrimp Coctail which came with 30+ smallish but delicious shrimp. The Cafe has a number of inexpensive, but delicious entrees, and has a great breakfast. We were very sad to find The Broiler was closed(:

The Gaming is superb, and the slots offer better odds than any of the "Strip" casinos. We found the staff and servers very helpful, quickly fixing a glitch in the Wireless Internet. Even the dealers were friendly. The Palace Station reminds one of a bygone era where one got an excellent product at an affordable price.

No resort can be all things to all people and it is NOT a good choice for whiners and cry babies!

Room Tip: The Tower rooms are a little nicer, but, like most casinos require a long schlep though the casino...

We stayed by the strip, but needed to go to a mall for an errand, and headed out to Henderson. Nearby, the Palace Station looked appealing and we dropped in for a little gaming, a movie and buffet. Loved the local atmosphere, friendly people, and "less" approach to things. AARP discount on movie popcorn and drinks was a surprise plus. Entered buffet at 4:45 to get lunch price but they were already setting up the prime rib for dinner. Won a little at the slots, and took home a free bottle of wine. Really enjoyed the different local Las Vegas experience.

We stayed overnight here and were very disappointed. The rooms are worn and small, with only double beds in the rooms. We stayed in the courtyard area. Beware, they also tack on a resort fee of $15 plus tax.

The Courtyard room we stayed in could not have seen the eyes of a housekeeping supervisor since the 1980s.The carpet had visible dirt footprints and the dresser was moved revealing just how filthy the carpet is.The grout in the bathroom on the floor and in the shower is moldy and in my opinion is a health hazard.I rinsed off and could not think of my bare feet on one inch of the entire room. The air condition unit had an inch thick layer of dust inside the unit.I accidentally turned on the heat and the stench was horrible. We have so little time away and i was upset that this was my little get away nightmare. At checkout the clerk told my husband she would tell housekeeping...I am sure they have a very broken system and that info will never be heard or listened to.They will never get one of my travel dollars and I will tell everyone I know about this awful place!!!!!
