“Great off strip hotel”
Reviewed December 31, 2013

Been going to Vegas since 1969 and always stayed at the Frontier till they went on strike. Moved over to the Star Dust and then to the Orleans since the Star Dust closed. We always liked the quiet end of the strip and was invited to try the Orleans. Enjoy the friendly atmosphere and the Buffet and Courtyard Cafe. Everyone is friendly and helpful.

Room Tip: Nice that it has smoking and nonsmoking floors

Stayed for two nights right before Christmas. Deluxe king bed room was good sized with couch but decor was a bit dated. Also my non-smoking room smelled like a recent guest smoked in the room, though rooms for other people in party were fine. The hotel was not full so parking in the structure out back was easy. We drove everywhere but there's a shuttle that takes you into town and to The Strip. Pretty close to Chinatown if you have older Chinese people with you (I did).

This is always a favorite place of mine In Las Vegas. Good value for the food and accommodations. Friendly atmosphere all around. Movie theater and bowling center for other entertainment.

Most of the employees smile at you and ask if there's anything else they can serve you with. Dealers, pit boss, slot attendant, cashiers. host, etc ...

I would recommend this place to all my friends and others.

I stayed at the Orleans Hotel for 9 nights in December 2013 with other Family Members. We booked three rooms. We enjoyed the food and the service at the Buffet, TGIF, the Courtyard Cafe, and the Prime Rib Loft. We also enjoyed the Blues Band entertainment in the Brendans Irish Pub. All I can say is that the prices were great, the staff was attentive, the rooms were always clean and functional, and the food at the hotel is terrific. I have stayed at many other great hotels in Las Vegas. The other hotels that I rated high were at the Red Rock Resort and the Vdara. However, the Orleans represents a much better value for the dollar and I have never been disappointed. I have stayed at this hotel on three or four occasions. Sometimes for as short as two days, and other times for 12 days. I appreciated that the swimming pool and hot tub area was open in December even though it could have been warmer outside. it was 66 degrees and the pool was nice and warm for a relaxing swim. I also find that the spa and workout area of the hotel is excellent, and I very much enjoy my morning workouts. The security is good with the elevators getting to the rooms as they are attentive in making sure guest identify that they have a room key. Parking at the hotel is also great. As a regular guest I cannot say enough great things about this hotel.

Room Tip: I was having difficulty walking distances and requested the hotel to give our family rooms closer to...

Not the Gigantic Hotel Casino that plagues the strip. This is a plus for me. Easy to park. Short walks to your room or to your car. Easy to get back and forth to the casino. There is a definite "down to earth" attitude amongst the staff and guests. Not a pretentious crowd at all. Its a comfortable place to stay with nice dining choices and large clean rooms. I just like it!

Room Tip: I prefer higher rooms with a view of the strip.

Great place, the rooms are big and comfortable. The staff was all friendly and helpful. There is lots to do. This is a very laid back comfortable place. Sat at the bar to watch the football game, was not gambling and the bartender never hassled us or pushed us to drunk more. We nursed a couple of drinks and had fun. Lots of table games and slots.
