Our extended family met up in Vegas for our yearly family trip and took 4 rooms at the grand!
We all had a great time , perfect for all ages . We would never normally stay at such a huge hotel but it was necessary on this family vacation. As with any large hotel , personal service must be challenge for the staff and we did miss this compared to our usual preference which are smaller hotels .
Rooms had everything we needed but are getting a little dated and worn out, it's understandable with their high occupancy. Lots of eateries to choose from . Kids were looked after whilst adults went gambling . Caught an amazing show . A great resort on the strip!

The rooms are very well appointed, clean, and comfortable. The food availability, pools, entertainment is sufficient that you need not leave the hotel at all - unless you want to check out the town. Wear comfortable shoes - the MGM itself is enormous, and it is at the end of the strip - Lots of walking! Take the hotel shuttle to the airport unless paying for several people to ride.

We booked here for our Wedding which went without a hitch, great wedding planner, no problems there at all! We stayed in a tower spa suite which was perfect! Our only problem was for the last 3 days of our stay a convention was taking place in the hotel which spoiled our stay. The pool was closed on one day for this convention and getting a reservation in any of the restaurants was impossible, having said that we mentioned this when checking out and were refunded our resort fees. We would stay here again but would check if a convention was on first!

We would like to congratulate you on your recent marriage. Thank you for allowing us to share in your special day. It sounds like you had a lovely ceremony and that you enjoyed your accommodations. We are honored to have been chosen to host this momentous occasion.

Conventions are a common sight throughout Las Vegas. At MGM Grand, we understand that they should never compete with or detract from the enjoyment of our other patrons. We apologize if this was the case during your visit. Rest assured, we will continue to seek measures to prevent such unfortunate circumstances from occurring going forward.

Please come see us again soon. We look forward to providing you with a better service experience in the future.

Good hotel but as any on the strip "ship them in and ship them out"
Location good, room good, staff good, in fact all good but not excellent.
It's a hotel on the strip, zero staff interaction above the required good morning/afternoon.

The MGM hotel was recommended by co workers who had teenage kids. My daughter turned 21 last year so we chose the MGM and had so much fun that we decided to come back this year (April 28 to May 2).This is a big hotel (5000 rooms) and has a lot to offer. Our favorites were:1) Pool-having our morning coffee under the palm trees close to the waterfalls by the lazy river pool. The morning crowd at the pool were mixed ages from young families up to the Grandmas and grandpas. On Sunday afternoon when we arrived the pool was packed with alot of 20 somethings who were partying hard. Not our thing but the morning times til 1 or 2 in the afternoon were glorious on the rest of our stay. 2) Food-lots of fine restaurants to choose from..We returned to Emerii Seafood for a delicious dinner. This hotel also has a food court with Mc Donalds and Starbucks just before you enter the pool area.3)Rooms- they were clean, comfy and amazingly quiet. Ours had a view of the strip this year which was beautiful. 4) Location-well positioned on the strip. We used both the monorail and the city express bus which had a stop in front of the hotel. This made for easy access to Fremont Street (old Vegas) and shopping outlet malls etc. 5)Entertainment- we saw Ka…a must see 6) Staff- friendly and efficient. Our only real delay was in checking in.I have read you can do this at the airport in the baggage area by carousel 1 and 2 ? I'll defineatly try this on our next trip. Two thumbs up to MGM. Thanks for a great stay... again.

Stayed at the MGM Grand for the first 5 days of our Honeymoon. Check-in was fairly speedy even though there was a largish line. We received an upgrade too.

The hotel is massive and magnificent. Definitely not one for people who don't like walking. It took us around 20 minutes to get from our room to the strip.

Tonnes of options for food throughout the hotel from Fast Food through to more gourmet choices.

The Pool was amazing. I loved lazing and going around the Lazy River. Poolside music at the main pool was a bit more party than some people would enjoy but we thoroughly enjoyed it. Drinks poolside were expensive - $17 for a Corona and a Bud Light, but we were expecting costs to be high.

Rooms were large and clean and the bed was massively comfortable. Loved it

Room Tip: Ask for an upgrade...you don't get if you don't ask!

Dear FameAsser:

Congratulations on your recent nuptials! MGM Grand is the perfect place to celebrate such a momentous personal occasion. With five days in Las Vegas, there is so very much to discover together. Fortunately, the pedestrian oriented nature of our property and our city makes for easy access with just a little walking.

We take pride in ensuring your complete satisfaction. This means unbeatable service, and unbeatable amenities and accommodations.

So visit us again. Your anniversary will be here before you know it, and we hope you choose to stay at MGM Grand again.

I stayed at the MGM Hotel for 3 nights, and had a great time overall. We had a room in the "West Wing" of the hotel. The check in process was easy, and did not have any problems. They provided us with a shuttle to and from the airport, at no additional charge (make sure to tip).

Rooms - The rooms were spacious & somewhat dark. It would've been nice to have more windows. The halways did smell like smoke, which bothered me a little. I do not have any pictures of the room, but as you walk in, the bathroom/shower is located directly to the left or right. After that, you proceed through the 10 foot long hallway which leads you to the actual room. The bed was very comfortable. There was a flat screen tv, and mirrors all over the walls surrounding the beds.

Location - Located right on the strip. We were on a unit higher up, and it took about 5-7 minutes to get out to the "Strip". It is a huge hotel though. Pool and Hot Tubs were very nice, but overcrowded. Definitely not a place to take the kids.

Dear Chris K:

Thank you for sharing your recent review of MGM Grand. You candid comments offer clear insight into the perceptions of our patronage.

It would seem that for the most part, you had a pleasant stay in our West Tower rooms. These modernly appointed accommodations are a favorite of many of our guests for their unique layout, plush furnishings, and sleek design. The Strip-side location also makes for convenient access. Thank you for your feedback regarding the lighting. We take your comments very seriously, and will use them to improve upon issues that may affect our guests.

As you noticed our Grand Pool is very popular, especially when the weather warms up. We work hard to monitor appropriate levels of occupancy to ensure an optimal experience. We regret if we were unsuccessful in this objective. We are pleased to know that you found Hotel Registration to be both timely and friendly. Nobody wants to spend their vacation waiting in line, so we make expediency a priority.

We appreciate you comments and patronage. There are more great times to be had, so come see us again soon.

Sincerely,
