MGM Grand Hotel and Casino
Ranked #81 of 264 Hotels in Las Vegas

our 5 visit to the mgm and four of us went for our annual beano and stayed 6 nights.check in was easy and we had rooms next to each other.the rooms were the renovated ones and are much better now as they were getting slightly outdated.the mini bar bar IS EXPENSIVE so dont touch anything go out onto the strip and buy some beers from the shop on the corner, bit of a cheek is that if you want a proper frdige they will charge you for the pleasure.
the pool area and sportsbook are the best things about this hotel its very clean around the pool and there is the lazy river, hots tubs etc etc.sportsbook is good and the drinks waitress is right behind you,we met there each night and after the 2nd night she was always firing drinks at us !!
as for the casino it is still being re-done but it is very controlled and you dont really notice it but the one dissapointment is that a lot of the old tables with dealers are going and being replaced by computer games, even craps !! think this is the norm in vegas as the recession is still noticable and it has lost its sparkle some what.
for bars to visit we done the ghostbar one night, nice but nothing special.as for the prices we went to other hotels and even in the pallazzo only paid around $30 for 4 bottled beers so could have been worse ?? went to see rod stewart at ceasers and he is just about on his last legs, very much a concert for the yanks, didnt even sing sailing !!!
anyway we had a good time and the weather was 100 everyday although it will get cooler now.
flew with virgin which was good as they are using new planes on the route with touchscreen entertainment, over 100 films to choose, plus albums, tv ,updated news en route.only gripe is the food has gone very down hill.

Room Tip: ask for a room overlooking the pool as the planes fly in and out as well

Nice but no longer good value! impressed by the room and all we used was the "free" WIFI which cost us $25 a day! shocking. No one informed me that this hidden cost existed or the other charges, will most definitely not be back!!!!!!!

Room Tip: do not stay here unless you already know about the rip off "resort tax"

We really enjoyed our stay here. Great value- rooms had been recently refurbished & very tastefully too! Very comfortable bed & black out screens on windows. You cannot access the room bar fridge unless you leave c/card no. With reception. Great restaurants to cater for all tastes- great check-in staff (huge reception area) - super pool area with a Wet & wild river with everyone floating along with cocktails- also a sport pool & a Over 18 quiet pool!! Excellent air conditioning in gambling areas. The lions have all been removed now. MGM is at the bottom of strip but wherever you stay there you walk the whole strip anyway- Up & down!

My sister and I stayed at the MGM first week of September. The Hotel was nice, stayed on 15th Floor, had a view of the strip. The Check-in at the Airport is Top-Service, Highly recommended. Our room was ready when we arrived at 12:00 noon. The room we had was a Queen Grand Tower Deluxe, not one of the remodeled ones, but was clean. Make sure you get good walking shoes, because we must have walked a mile each time we left our room to even get out of the hotel. Large Casino. A non smoking section would be nice. All in all, enjoyed the stay at the MGM, would probably prefer a smaller hotel next time. But we LOVED Vegas!!

Room Tip: Ask for a room closer to elevators.

I stayed at the MGM Grand for five night over the easter break and couldn't fault it.
The location of the hotel is excellent and the hotel itself was immaculate it would appear that they have cleaning staff working round the clock, which was also reflected in the huge casino which although very busy looked pristine through out the day and night.
Free drinks served whilst using the slots in the casino was a bonus.
The rooms were spacious (three women sharing and there was plenty of room) the beds were huge and very comfortable and the noise level in the bedrooms was very low.
Good restaurants, nice very large pool area lovely public areas.
Overall an excellent mid priced Vegas hotel would difinitley return.

We just returned from five nights in a newly renovated Grand King room at the MGM Grand. We have been to Vegas many times but this was the first time at the MGM. The rooms are very modern and comfortable. Not as spacious as the suites at the Venetian or Palazzo but more than adequate. We found the pool area to be the best one we have seen in Vegas. We have stayed at the Planet Hollywood, Palazzo, Venetian, Flamingo, Tropicana, and Rio and feel that the pools at the MGM were the best. Plenty of chairs if you get there early, and we were there on the weekend. The cost of renting the floats for the lazy river ($16) was a bit high considering the $25 resort fee we were already paying. We've never seen so many kids at a hotel in Vegas but since Justin Bieber was there on the Sunday night, we understand why. We would go back to the MGM despite our lack of luck on the slot machines.

Just a great wonderful hotel that feels like home every time. Great casino, pools, spa, service, restaurants, location, etc. But the best thing... the beds!!! SO comfortable. I'm a very picky sleeper and these beds were heaven :) The new rooms have blackout screens which are wonderful too!
