“Great downtown hotel - great for craps players”
Reviewed February 17, 2013

We spent the last 3 nights at the Main Street Station. This was recommended by friends and after some research found that Main Street Station is THE place in Las Vegas for craps. They have 3 craps tables (only 2 were in use the whole time we were there. No problems getting in. $5.00 minimum bet with 20x odds. Friendly knowledgeable dealers with the exception of one blackjack dealer I sat with (he never said one word in the 45 minutes I sat at this table). Rooms are clean if a bit dated but the size of the property is a real selling point - it doesn't take an hour to run upo to your room and back if you forgot somehting. Friendly slot hosts and a great restaurant.

We had an offer from this hotel for free rooms, so we went but didn't expect much. So we were happily surprised for the really comfortable bed and pillows, the very clean room, and great customer service.

Great stay at an unbelievable price. Very nice room, top of the line linens, clean, clean, clean. Decor throughout lobby and brewery were very nice. Great price on micro beers made in their Brew-Pub. Excellent Sushi and fresh Oysters! Great selection of Slots and tables. Wonderful Staff. I would stay here and take cabs to the strip and save some bucks. The room was $42.50! Ask for a room facing Fremont St. and the view of the Stratosphere.

We had read reviews for this hotel and decided to stay here. The rates were very good and we were really impressed with the beautiful furnishings. The beds were very comfortable. The room was average size and had a refrigerator. The bathroom was small, but clean. The TV was a nice size HD. The location of the hotel is what will bring us back. It was easy to find and was right around the corner from Fremont Street. The casinos downtown are not as spread out as the Strip, so it is much easier to get from one to the other. We were able to leave the car in the hotel parking garage and walk to Fremont Street. Every service person we met at the hotel and casino was extremely helpful and friendly. We liked the beer specials and buffet, also. This will be our hotel of choice on our next trip to Vegas.

Room Tip: We stayed in room 1429. We had a good view, but were very close to the railroad tracks. Earplugs w...

I have never stayed at Main Street but, I always stop by for the buffet. I will say the downtown area is not for everyone. It is not as glamorous as the strip, so if you are looking for first rate facilities then just stay on the strip and eat at those overpriced buffets. You cannot beat Main Street’s buffet it’s cheap and very good. I have eaten expensive buffets on the strip and always come away disappointed. I like T-Bone Tuesday but, a little word of advice….Get there early if you do not want to wait in line.

We stayed at the Main Street Station 2 years ago and we decided to stay again this year. We like the unique old feel with all the wood and stained glass. Everyone is very nice especially the maids. I lost an earring and couldn't find it, got back to the room and the maid had it laying on the dresser. Just shows how they do a really good job at cleaning the room.
The 777 pub has the best food in Vegas. The prices are the best also, very affordable. The beer from their own brewery is great and reasonably priced. I love to gamble there with all the people from Hawaii, they are so friendly and fun loving.
We will always stay at the Main Street Station when we are in Vegas. Love It!!

Room Tip: Ask to be on the side without the Freeway

Well after talking to a local and moaning about how expensive the food and drink were on the strip, he suggested going to Fremont street. Well I wasn't to be disappointed, what a great area and a chance to see why Las Vegas is what it is! I wondered around for a bit and found Main Street station and went inside for a look, and came across the buffet, for under $10 all you can eat! Tis place will not disappoint, the staff are very helpful the food is great with a fantastic choice of fish, meat, veg, pasta and pizza. They also have a dessert island with every cake you can think of as well as ice cream. I can't say about the hotel as I didn't stay, but I will be next time I'm in Vegas if the buffet is any thing to go by I won't be disappointed. Great buffet well recommended
