“Jockey Club Suites Las Vegas is a hidden gem”
Reviewed March 12, 2013

4 of us returned today from a 1 week stay at the Jockey Club Suites in Las Vegas. Located in the heart of the Strip between the Bellagio and the Cosmopolitan, our one bedroom suite at the Jockey Club was spacious and clean, had a fully equipped kitchen, dining area, a queen pull-out sofa (the mattress on this was awful but we got an egg crate foam pad from guest services that helped a little), a king bed in the nice-sized bedroom, large walk-in closet with plenty of hangars, an in-room safe, free Wi-Fi, DVD player, stereo, 2 flat panel TVs and a small but adequate bathroom. There is a hospitality center with complimentary popcorn & coffee and a free video library, 3 computers for guest use. The hotel has a whirlpool, an outdoor pool, sauna & health club. There is a 24 hour resort desk, daily activities & shuttle service for grocery runs. Staff was friendly and helpful, fulfilling our requests quickly and cheerfully. Price was reasonable and they did not hit us with the "resort fee" that many of the Las Vegas hotels tack on. Parking was always available in the shared ramp with the Cosmopolitan. I would definitely recommend this facility!

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view, not on the top floor.

Thank you for this very detailed review! We love your title of, “hidden gem.” We were happy to learn that you enjoyed your suite and all of the in room amenities. We are in the process of upgrading the mattresses on the sofa bed and apologize for any discomfort. We appreciate your mentioning the helpful friendliness of the staff. No resort fees here. Our favorite comment was that you would definitely recommend our facility and we hope to see you again soon.

The Jockey Club gives you the advantage of having a kitchen and living room, which is a real plus over all the hotels it's surrounded with. It's been newly remodeled and is nicely appointed, and is a well kept property. Next time we will ask to be on the north side with the view instead of looking out at a grey wall. We enjoyed the free DVD use and popcorn when settling back into the room at night. The workout room was a bit lacking, the only elliptical machine was out of order my entire stay. Overall, a nice place to stay, a unique place on the strip amongst all the giant hotels, it's more like home.

Thank you for your review! We are glad to learn that you felt that the room was nicely appointed and that the property is well kept. Next time, we will do our best to fulfill your view request. It is nice to settle in with a good movie and fresh popcorn. We apologize that the elliptical was out of service during your stay. Unfortunately, it took some time for the repair part. The goal is for you to feel right at home and we look forward to your next visit.

I recently stayed at the Jockey Club for 6 nights.

Based on the reviews I read here, it sounded like just the hotel I needed. I had different friends staying with me different nights and the hotel was very accommodating. Carol at the front desk was great. I had called the hotel and spoke with Carol a few days prior to arrival with a request and when I checked in, Carol was at the desk, remembered me and was able to honor my request. She also took the names of all of my guests so I didn’t have to be there when they arrived. They all checked in with ease. We never had a problem with keys not working, etc. It was all very smooth.

We all liked the hotel and didn’t have any trouble finding the parking area. An elevator close to the lobby links right to the Cosmo and you can come out right on the casino floor. The Jockey Club doesn’t have a restaurant or room service but the Cosmo has more than enough places to make up for that.

There is a small convenience store right in the lobby that has snacks, gifts, etc., and the hotel also has things like movie night.

Right outside is a walkway that leads to the Bellagio walkway right on the Strip or you can go the other way and end up in the Cosmo lobby where you can get a taxi. The hotel is very conveniently located on the Strip so it was easy to get to other casinos, shopping, etc. Planet Hollywood, Walgreens and the mall (plus way more) was right across the street.

The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and it was great having a full kitchen. I only wished we had used more than the refrigerator and microwave!

The master bedroom had a king bed, 2 night stands, a table, chair, dresser, lamps and tv. There was a huge walk-in closet in the master bedroom that had lots of hangers, a luggage stand a safe in it. There was also an en-suite bathroom with a tub/shower combo. The bathroom was small but suited our needs just fine.

The second bedroom had a queen bed, night stands, lamps, dresser and tv. Also had a large closet with a luggage stand. There was a second bathroom just outside of the 2nd bedroom that had a shower, not a tub/shower combo.

The room had iPod docking station clock radios, an ironing board and a vacuum.

The living room was quite large with plenty of seating areas. There were 2 couches and a love seat plus the dinging room table with 6 chairs around it. There was a tv, a coffee table, an end table and ample lamps. Also, all of the tvs could be turned to a channel that showed the Bellagio fountains. It didn’t have the music piped in, but was fun to watch on the tv as well as out the window (only a few of the 2 bedroom suites face the fountains so we were lucky).

Overall, the hotel was a great value and is perfect anyone but ideal for long stays, large groups (6 people) or a family. I would stay there again.

Room Tip: Call ahead and ask for a view. Higher floors are better.

Thank you for your very detailed review! And you took great pictures too! We appreciate you mentioning Carol. We are proud of the JC team and are pleased that the check in process for you and your friends went smoothly. Thank you for sharing with your fellow Trip Advisor travelers all that the Club has to offer as well as the convenience of the surrounding area. It is true the 2 bedroom view suites are limited and we are happy that you were able to have that experience. We are glad that you feel you received a great value but, our favorite part is that you would stay with us again. Hope to see you soon!

We traded on Interval in October to get a room that faced the Bellagio fountains and not the Cosmo NOISE, Have called at least one a month to see if everything was still good. " No problem, you called early enough, we will upgrade you" was all I heard. Tonight it was," We have your request, but we can't promise anything. The earlier you check in the better."
Well, let me get right on that and tell US Airways to change the flight. If THE ROOM RUINS OUR TRIP, THIS WILL GO VIRAL. Promise.

Room Tip: Do not know yet.

Thank you for your comments and concern. We apologize for starting your well-deserved vacation time with a scare. We appreciate the importance of enjoying the view and do our best to fulfill all guest requests. Jockey Club owners utilizing their fixed week makes it difficult to predict months in advance what may be available as far as view suites are concerned. We will insure that all of our Guest Service Representatives are more detailed and thoughtful when taking requests for the future. We hope that you had a pleasant and restful stay with us.

A group of us stayed in a two bedroom unit during February and couldn’t have been happier! This is a great location, right next to the Cosmopolitan, Bellagio and across the Mall. We took the shuttle from the airport and thought they only made stops at the big hotels so requested to get off at Cosmopolitan but they agreed to drop us right in front of the Jockey Club. We couldn’t get rooms facing the Bellagio waterfalls because of the type of room we requested. They have a nice pool area with several grills, it was too cold for us to partake but I can imagine how much fun it would be in the summer. There is a connecting elevator on the second floor that takes you to thru the Cosmopolitan which is very convenient. The rooms were very spacious and SUPER CLEAN!! Nice speakers to listen to music before hitting the clubs, flat screen TV’s in every room and one in the living area. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything one could need. Only complaint I would have is that the bed covers kept sliding off in the middle of the night but we were completely pleased with everything else and would definitely come back and stay here. Save yourself some money and stay right in the center of the action.

Room Tip: Request a room facing the Bellagio fountains

Thank you! We appreciate your review. We are happy that you enjoyed our location as you say, in the center of the action. There are many thoughtful shuttle drivers that will drop you right at our front door. Hopefully you will be able to return during the warmer weather to enjoy grilling on our pool deck. It is great to walk up there to see family and friends spending good times together. The elevator to the Cosmo is great and you may walk through the casino to get to the bridges leading to all of the surrounding shops and restaurants too. Sorry to hear that the bedcover kept sliding off while you were trying to sleep. We will keep that in mind when replacing the bedding. It’s great that you were pleased with everything else but, the best part is that you would definitely stay with us again.

This is our third year staying at the Jockey Club. We love the location, which is walking distance to all of the strip casinos and is directly across from the Miracle Mile Shops. We love having the kitchen, with coffee maker and coffee and having the separate bedroom. It allows good sleep for everyone. The only downside is the pool area, which doesn't have a lot of sun since the Cosmopolitan was built next door and blocks the sun. They have an arrangement with the Cosmo and you can go to their pool for free, which is a great pool, but a long walk.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the Bellagio side unless you like a dark room. The other side has the Cosmopolita...

Thank you for your review! We are happy to learn that this was your third year staying with us. The location is convenient to all that fabulous Las Vegas has to offer. Good Sleep for Everyone! We love that. We are pleased that our owners and guests may use the Bamboo pool at the beautiful Cosmopolitan and it’s great for people watching. The Jockey Club pool is more of a quiet relaxing bar-b-que spot with family and friends. Or have a friendly ping pong match or, read a good book or, take a midnight swim in our heated pool as our pool is uniquely open 24/7/365. We will be here waiting to see you for your fourth year visit.

This time-share resort is located on Las Vegas Blvd. behind the Cosmopolitan and beside the Bellagio so it is conveniet to all the highlights on The Strip. We had a one bedroom unit that slept 4 and there was lots of room. The resort has been well maintained and the housekeeping staff take pride in keeping the units very clean. The customer service was exceptional; every staff member we dealt with was friendly and went out of their way to make our stay more enjoyable.
You will be asked to participate in a time-share presentation and offered free tickets to the shows to do so. The tickets are not free but they are less than you would pay at the box office and it depends on whether you want to see that particular show if it will be worth wasting an entire morning or afternoon sitting through a presentation because the presentations do take several hours regardless what any of the salespeople tell you.
We will certainly stay at this resort again.

Thank you for the review of your recent stay with us. We appreciate that you noticed the pride that our housekeeping team has in their work. We are pleased that every team member you encountered were friendly and went out of their way to make your stay more enjoyable. Yes, most likely you will be asked if you would like to attend a presentation as well as discounted or free show tickets are part of the gift offer for attending. The goal of Geo Holiday sales is to utilize as little of your time as possible. The process can take more time than originally anticipated. We were happy to read your last sentence that says, “We will certainly stay at this resort again.” See you soon!
