“Good value hotel”
Reviewed November 25, 2012 via mobile

Arrived about 10pm to check in and waited about 25 minutes to check in, paid $15 for the upgrade with Bellagio view and flat screen TV. Refurbished room was great.

You have to walk out through the casino floor to access the hotel. Not too much issues with cigarette smoke.

Outdoor area with flamingos and fish is a nice touch for families with kids.

Main problems are with valet and parking and housekeeping.

Very small carpark and valet. Half of our nights I had to drop my wife off with the children and pram and was told to park at other casino carparks. Valet when it wasn't full was very slow when compared to others in the strip.

Room didn't get serviced one day and had to get fresh towels brought up. It nearly didnt get serviced the second day, except I had to ring up and firmly request them to service it. The housekeeper said it was lucky I rang as they were 15 minutes away from finishing for the day.

No free WiFi and it is $14 a day to use it in your room.

Not a bad place to stay overall, but if you have a car, look at staying at one of the bigger hotels.

Stayed 2 nights over Thanksgiving. Was worried b/c of other reviews but ended up being a very nice stay. Check-in line was very long (30-45mins) but greeted by friendly staff. Stayed in the fab deluxe king room. Room clean (no bugs!), bright with modern furnishings, comfy bed, lots of hot water: a great value. The gardens, koi and flamingo are very beautiful. Casino, restauants and shops were pleasantly busy...not too crowded or overwhelming. Would stay again!

The check in line late isn't good. The front desk staff was great, though. The room is a bit strange. We had a GO room. The headboards are not attractive. I don't mind the pink...theme. I wouldn't recommend their 24 hour restaurant. Best location. Beds comfy.

The hotel is located across the street from Caesers; it is in a prime location on the strip. We did find that there is not a bus stop directly in front of the hotel. The closest stop is at Bally's ir or the Imperial which isn't too far. The room had a floor to ceiling window which was nice but I had a view of the back of the building. The rooms were not fancy but were clean. The bed was very comfortable. The rooms with a refrigerator and more ammentiies were and additional $30 per night so we opted to stick with the basic room. I recommend that you book online. The rate for Saturday night was more than we paid for 3 nights if we had not booked ahead. There was a long line at check in but it went fairly quick. You can check out at a kiosk. The cafe was good and service was quick. We also at at Carlo's and Charlies in the hotel. The food was good but service was slow. We did not eat at the buffet but have eaten there on past trips to Vegas. This is the first time that I have stayed at this hotel and would stay there again in the future.

We stayed for 3 nights. Great deal early in the week for @ $34/night and 2 free buffets. Great food, nice and clean room. Casino has old smoke smell, but I think they all do. Midstrip is a great advantage.

I loved this hotel. I don't know why people rate it badly.

Check in took around 20 minutes but I was prepared for a long wait after reading bad reviews of the process. To be honest it wasn't a problem, you're full of excitement anyway so waiting to check-in isn't really a bother.

The rooms were in my opinion beautiful! Retro and full of pink! We stayed in a FAB room and after hearing these weren't the newer ones I was expecting it to be not-so-great. But it was! I don't know what more people expect from such an old hotel.

Service was fine no problems. We did however have a broken safe in our room. This was a problem because we had a lot of valuables including a lot of cash in both £s and $s. We had a DSLR and digital camera, ipod, passports and other valuables like jewellery. They told us if we wanted the safe fixed we'd have to be in when they come to fix it but we were too busy to wait (being in Vegas, too much to do!) So we never got this fixed..I was a little worried about my possessions being in the room but we had no problems at all.

The location was absolutely perfect, slap bang in the middle of the strip. Opposite the Bellagio and near pretty much everything you need to be near. The view from our room wasn't brilliant but again.. didn't expect much for the price paid.

We didn't get breakfast but there is a McDonald's about 5 minutes away from the hotel if you want a cheap meal. There is also a bar just behind the Flamingo that sell $1 beers and $2 cocktails! Great price just by going slightly off the strip.

I loved the decor in the Flamingo and I think it was vintage Vegas, reminded me of shows and cabaret. Loved the pizza place in Flamingo's food court too, $6 a slice but totally worth it!

There are plenty of elevators so you are never waiting longer than a minute, shops inside the hotel, always easy to get a taxi from the entrance, valet services and a giant casino.

One bad note: We weren't able to find a parking spot anywhere in the Flamingo hotels free parking lot. After driving around for 40 mins we were very frustrated. After asking at the lobby they told us you can park for free in any hotel so i'd recommend doing this if the car park looks busy.. don't drive around for ages for no reason.

Book this hotel if you want a great location and stylish funky decor but don't book it if you want elegant expensive quiet rooms.. go for the Cosmopolitan if you want that.

Room Tip: Rooms with a bad view are a lot quieter so easier to get some sleep in

It was like queing up at an airport to book in, lots of noise and flashing lights but all looked a bit tired and shabby.
Spent $33.00 per night and upgraded to a more spacious room, which on the surface was clean but filfhy carpet and easy chair, with fittings that looked a bit tired.
Out door bar/resturant, don't bother. poor quality and lousy service. barman more interested in juggling bottles than serving customers. Steak house good by expensive.
