We stayed in the Go room which is the hotels newly renovated room ( as in the past we have stayed in thier standard rooms which was shabby) anyhow super funky and cool with floor to ceiling windows to have a perfect view of the strip. The showers are great with jet nozzle in the wall and a bonus tv in your basin mirror. 2 double bed with also counch like area, large tv and great for the price. Centrally located. Down side they dont have the best buffet

We selected this property due to location (central strip) and value. Was able to get Go Deluxe for less than $100 during a holiday weekend with an advance reservation. I was concerned a bit about the mix reviews prior to booking, but once we got to the hotel and checked in I was content and it ended up being a fun place. I was surprised with the property and grounds which exceeded my expectations. Not sure if I wold stay there again, with so many different offerings. would like to try a different complex next time.

We travel to Las Vegas at least once a year, sometimes more. We stay at Harrah's properties because we are a Total Rewards Member. We were in Las Vegas this past May and stayed at Bally's. This trip we stayed at Flamingo. Flamingo has always been my favorite hotel but this stay has changed my mind. Bally's offers in room coffee makers (one cup at a time) for those avid, have to have coffee in the morning, people. Flamingo does not in the Deluxe rooms. We asked for a Do Not Disturb sign for our door...the cleaning lady said they don't have them anymore. Say What?! The Vegas Player Magazine was not in our room as is the norm, that is where we get information on concerts, shows, special engagements, etc. So, we are not sure if Flamingo is saving a few $$ but Bally's is going to be our first choice from now on.

We stayed July 14-16 - middle of summer. Imagine our surprise that the pool closes at 6pm! It was still 100 degrees at 6 at night. It was nice that there was a water slide, a family pool and a pool for 18+, but all were packed! I guess trying to cool off before 6. Check-in was quick and easy. We checked-in, presented our credit card and was told that our credit card was being charged and the room was then paid for. On check-out morning, I called guest services to see what needed to be done to check out and was told that I owed for the previous night. Decided to wait in the hour+ line to find out why I would have to pay a second time. While we were waiting, I saw and overheard 3 different guest complaining about their stay. Once we were able to speak to someone, they told us that we were only being charged now at check-out, our credit card was not charged at check-in. We could have, SHOULD HAVE been told that at check-in and saved us that last miserable hour which is now my lasting impression of the Flamingo. But I guess if we would have been told that in the beginning, I would not have heard for myself all the complaints from other guests. Reviews are nice to read (I did before booking at the Flamingo) but it's something else to hear it straight from the guests mouths! You will be taking your chances staying here. I guess that's what Vegs is all about - taking your chances!

The room was spacious, the carpets stained, typical Vegas hotel room. The pool was packed with large people and lots of tattoos so everyone can feel comfortable in a bikini there!

This was our 2nd time staying at the Flamingo Hotel. We won't be staying here again. It's because of the pool area. The music is so loud that you have to shout to be heard. This hotel is now catering to 20 something year olds, which we are not. Too much of a drunken party for us. If you're in your 20s then you'll love it here. Next time we want to stay at a hotel that caters more to families and an older crowd.

This was our first trip to the Flamingo in the last few years and things have gone straight down hill.

ROOM: The carpet in the room was not just dirty, but grossly stained and caked with crud. The ceiling looked like someone had randomly streaked it with black shoe polish. The clock radio had a crusty looking thing on the dial that made us want to puke. Upon arrival, the light at the bed was unplugged and the clock radio display was flashing so it needed to be reset. There were pieces of debris (e.g., receipts, used ticket stubs) on the floor. The faucet for the bathroom sink looked like it hadn't been cleaned since the last visitor's stay. No coffee maker or refrigerator. No do not disturb sign to hang on door at night.

HOUSEKEEPING: Did not show up to clean our room one of the three nights. When we called that night for towels, no apology was offered.

HALL, ELEVATOR: Rugs in hall were dirty and coming up from the floor. Elevators looked like someone tried to polish the walls, but gave up halfway through the job.

POOL: Long line for security check and entrance. No outside drinks or food allowed. No chairs available to sit. Water in pool had all types of garbage floating in it: bottle caps, matches, used suntan lotion tubes, hair, etc.

The pool that used to be for children is now adults only. The water slides that used to be great for kids to go from one end of the pool area to the other are now partially gated off to keep kids away from the adult pool. The smaller pool that allows children is now terribly overcrowded and the water is just as dirty as the adult pool.

OTHER COMMENTS: There is a huckster trying to sell visitors a condo every time they exit the elevator.
