“For a younger crowd”
Reviewed March 2, 2013

My wife and I stayed at the Hard Rock for five nights in February, we got a great package price from Jet Blue. We are both 51 and noticed most of the people there were much younger, which did not bother us, since we spent most of the time on the Strip or hiking. Add a star if you are in to music and history and are under 30. We stayed in the Paradise Tower and the Bed was like sleeping on a cloud, we loved the bed. The room was nice, nothing special really, we overlooked the pool (it was closed). We had no hair drier at first but called the desk and they brought one quickly.

As other reviewers stated the casino is not very big, but has every thing you need to gamble. We were able to get drinks while playing the slots, we were there on week nights and it was not to crowded.

The resort fee of $25 a night is just silly.

We had a nice stay, but wouldn't stay again with so many other options on the strip and elsewhere.

Had a blast, won lots of money playing the table games, the food at FU, pink taco, 35 steaks was nothing short of amazing! The nightlife was so fun and a great way to stay in Vegas. Love the hardrock and will be back there as soon as I can get back to Vegas.

I just returned from my monthly 2 night stay at the Hard Rock in Vegas. As always, the staff and rooms were great. I am a fan of the HR resorts and last summer I took my family to the Hard Rock in Punta Cana, which turned out to be one our best vacations ever. The Hard Rock never seems to disappoint. I'll be returning to Vegas in a few weeks to ROCK ON.....

We stayed at the Hard Rock hotel for 8 nights in February. We checked in easily and found our room. The room was a great size in the main building. We booked a mountain view room as it was cheaper but they gave us a pool view room anyway, which was nice. We got to the room to find it considerably better than we had originally expected. It was large with doors the opened to get plenty of fresh air. The decor was a dark scheme but it was very modern and designed well. After a few days, we found we could get a smoking room, so we asked for a smoking room and an upgrade, which was given to us free of charge and without hassle. The new room in the Paradise Tower was amazing. Even better than the original room with huge floor to ceiling windows and a great view of the Airport and the southern end of the Strip. The rooms were generally clean (the cleaners even did the windows, which I've never seen done in a hotel) but over time it got a little dusty.
The hotel itself is huge, dim mood lighting and enough casino space to rival any of the strip hotels. There was a wide selection of eating establishments and some various themed stores. There is obviously a Hard Rock Cafe on property.
There is a shuttle service available from the Resort to the northern end of the strip, however it only runs from 11am - 5pm and had the capacity to take only 20 people! Considering this was a part of the (crazy) $22 resort fee, I feel this should be made a lot more regular and have the ability to take more people. Also take note that the main pool is closed during the winter months, however there are a few ice cold pools open if you're brave enough!
The location is very poor. It's pretty much in the middle of nowhere with a few stores and bars close by. The only real option (if you can't get on a shuttle) is to hike it over to the Strip. I definitely wouldn't advise walking down the road at night though, It didn't really seem very safe.
Everything else was pretty much the same as anything in Vegas: huge, over priced and shiny.
We would certainly recommend this hotel to adults looking for a good time in Vegas, but due to the busy and somewhat smokey (And very much drunk) areas of the hotel, I would NEVER bring children to this resort.

Room Tip: Ask for an upgrade, it's usually free and the Paradise rooms are amazing. If you're going t...

Just got back from 2 nights at the Hard Rock and it was by far my best Vegas experience to date. Terri at the front desk took care of me on a room upgrade and my resort fee was comped because my keys didn't work after walking all the way to the room. My wife and I finally got to enjoy ourselves for a couple nights and I'm glad we chose the hard rock as our destination. Great atmosphere, friendly table dealers, wonderful cocktail service, what more could you ask?

Bring a gas mask for the smoke, an extra lock for the security issues, some bug spray for the drain flies in the restaurant, and hear plugs for the endless barrage of noise. Come on...there's room at the Hard Rock Hotel, dont worry about the haor on the bathroom floor, its probably a "ROCK STAR"

Room Tip: Like being in a espiode of Locked Up Nevada without the Bars, and you probably need them!
