Stayed in the Carson Tower and had a nice room. I see no need to upgrade to anything else. The WI-FI however is another story. As part of the outrageous resort fee of $30 a day, you get "free" WI-FI that was plain awful. First of all they charge you for it but say it won't be on your bill since we paid the resort fee. Well they did put it on the bill and we had to have it removed which was a pain. Secondly the Internet service was basically non-existent. Disconnected every couple of minutes and wouldn't even connect half of the time. Other than that, the Golden Nugget was a very nice place to Stay and Play.

I always stay at the GN, have never had a bad experience. The restaurants are nice, the Hotel is beautiful and room service is great. Love the location right on Freemont St. Love that Freemont Experience. The only negative comment is when I was there in Jan 2016 that beautiful pool was not open to guest. Bummer!

I want to give this hotel 5 stars. It's an amazing hotel for downtown Las vegas. It's clean and the rooms in the Rush tower are gorgeous. The staff is great too. We were upgraded to the Rush tower free of cost. The reason I can't give the hotel 5 stars is because of our room. We were facing Fremont street and it was terrible. If you want to sleep you can just forget about it. The noise is unbearable. It doesn't stop until around 2 in the morning. Our last night was the worst. There was a band playing on the roof of the Plaza as well as on the street. Even in the room it was basically like you were at a concert. It did not stop until about 3 am. I know the point of vegas is to party and have a good time but I would also like to sleep. Coming from Canada we had jet lag and there is a 3 hour time difference. So we barely slept this whole trip. If you are staying here make sure you do not face fremont street. Other than that it was a fabulous hotel! We enjoyed the shark tank pool and the casino!

The Nugget knows it's the nicest hotel downtown so they make it pretty obvious they could care less if your stay is a pleasant one.

Michael at the check in was surly at best - barely tolerating our group check-in despite 4 years coming here. He claimed the only rooms available on a Thursday night were ones with two double beds - no kings or queens at all. We knew it was a lie, but there it is.

As organizing a group trip of 20 people for the past 16 years I think we will finally look somewhere else. The Nugget has expired my tolerance

Very nice hotel on Fremont Street. Housekeeping great, and as all hotel/casinos in Vegas, always plenty of places to eat or drink! Easy to find yourself around, unlike many hotels on the strip. Pool area has huge fish tank in center, but the Pool was very cold and majority of the time, many disgruntled patrons left before even able to relax as there were no lawn chair seats available....
