WE stayed a week here, and had a blast! We would get a bus pass, and were able to travel up and down the strip, when your tired of walking jump on the bus. I truly do love downtown,we had much better luck there, and the close proximity of everything was perfect. The Golden Nugget is a comfortable hotel, and look forward to going back again.

After a disappointingly expensive cab ride from the airport, we checked into a fantastic room in the Rush tower. Great room, comfortable bed and loads of storage space. Everything looked new and everything worked like new, was so happy.

Slept great, hotel was busy but not noisy.

Had a fantastic time.

One thing - Asked about using the fitness facilities and was told $20, I thought that was a decent price for 2 of us for 5 days - I was then corrected $20 per day EACH - A huge NO Thanks to that

Still the hotel room and service were excellent - We will be back

Room Tip: Rush Tower room was great

Most of the Hotels downtown are old and do not ofer as much as the Golden Nugget. The rooms are nice and well taken care of. They are normal size. The food in the hotel is very good and of course they have all the gambling games as the other casinos and very friendly dealers. Their swiming pool is very different. there is a shark tank right in the middle.

My husband and I and another couple stayed at Golden Nugget Carson Tower to spend New Year's on Fremont St. I was told our wrist bands for that night was included in our price but when I went to check in, I was informed it wasn't. The wrist bands, which you couldn't get on Fremont St without it, were $40.00/per person. It was very expensive to do the same thing for free every other night. We went ahead and paid it since that's why we stayed there in the first place. I'm not sure I would do it again for that price. I would definitely weigh all my options. We ate at Hugo's Cellar before and we could've gotten wrist bands for free from them. Other than that, the updated rooms were nice, except for some rust and a slow drain in the bathtub. Beds were comfortable and nice spacious rooms. We would stay there again.

We prefer downtown, but do rent a car and visit the strip and outlying areas. This time, after
more than 5 years, opted to try the Golden Nugget...so glad we did. Stayed in the Rush Tower,
which has it's own check-in and valet, apart from the main hotel..very convenient. The room,
non-smoking, was spacious and beautifully decorated. Our only concern was it was dark,
even with the lights on, as the walls were dark brown. Bathroom had double bowl sinks and
was the lighting was very bright...separate toilet room, which is very nice. Very fast elevators.
Using our coupon, ate at the breakfast buffet. Truthfully, we prefer the Green Valley Ranch and
Red Rock breakfast buffets, also in a coupon book. Would definitely stay there again!

Easy in and out of property, freeway close; not so big that you need a tram to get from one end to the other; decent food and rooms (have only stayed in the Carson Tower, which is quiet and well located on the property and surprisingly nice, good sized room). Rush Tower is out of the way although more upscale rooms than Carson. Cannot assess the Gold Tower. People were nice. Gaming what you would expect in LV. Pool area very cool. We visit family in LV and this is where we stay. Also, easy access to food and liquor stores (as opposed to the other end).

As a hotel, this was a great experience. I was nervous about not being on The Strip but the price was right. My room was $60 compared to $250 at hotels like The Mirage.

Likes:
-My room was huge. King-size bed with enough room to easily fit two more in the room. It was also very clean and looked updated.
-The pool. This was one of the main reasons I picked this hotel.

Dislikes:
-$12.99 for 24 hours of wi-fi is ridiculous!
-There's a Keurig in the room that you're charged $6 to use. Skip it and use the Starbucks downstairs.
-Security seems weak. Anyone can go upstairs to where the hotel rooms are.
