Golden Nugget Hotel
Ranked #91 of 263 Hotels in Las Vegas
Reviewed April 24, 2013

Our family (4 adults) went to Vegas for 3 days in April 2013. We paid an additional room rate to accomidate 4 people in the room. At the time of check in I specifically made sure to ask if the room had enough towels and cups for 4 adults and they assured me everything was good.
The room had 3 towel sets two glasses and no remote control. After ordering the extra supplies and tipping the bell hop I noticed that the coffee was not complimentary. $10.00 for 4 Krueg Cups for the coffee machine. After all the money people spend at the Casino you would think that at least the coffee would be complimentary...and the bottled water was $7.00.
We also had gotten several email specials after we booked this room directly with the hotel but they would not let us change our reservations to the special offers.
Will never stay at the Golden Nugget again!

Since March we are travelling all over the US and made a stop-over in Las Vegas to meet an old friend and his family who makes an organized tour in the South Western part of the US. So though booking.com we came to the Golden Nugget. The room was quite big, but for the price paid one could expect a refrigerator to be available in the room. Internet access is against payment of $ 12 and it says that it will only be charged once. So I also logged in on my wife's iPhone and on my notebook. To my surprise I was charged $ 36 for a 24 hour Internet access. After telling the reception that this was a real rip-off I only had to pay $ 12. However I asked the receptionist to inform the management and to make a clear statement that the charge is for 24 hours and one device.

Furthermore the bed was only made in the late afternoon.

We just returned from a stay at the Golden Nugget Las Vegas. Giving it 3 stars is a stretch. Our room was outdated and worn. The bathroom fixtures were loose, the safe didn't work, and I had to immediately complain about a large amount of hair in the bath tub. There is a coffee pot in the room, but the coffee has a price tag of $10 (cheaper to go to Starbucks!). Bottled water in the room had a price tag of $7! The pool area was much too small for the amount of guests, and if you didn't get a chaise lounge on the lower level by 9am, you were out-of-luck. Second level chaise lounges cost $20, Cabanas were as high as $250! Pool was supposed to be available at 10am, but everyday we had to wait for the life-guards etc...to be ready - no use of the pool until all of that was in place. Shark Tank was a lot smaller than what the advertisements made it look like - they would be better off with a tank full of colorful smaller fish. I felt sorry for the sharks and rock fish. To sit and listen to music on the upper deck at the Gold Digger Club, you had to purchase a minimum of $50 (good table) or $100 (better table) in drinks - otherwise there was a tiny 'free' area in which to stand and look down at Freemont Experience. There was also a cover charge to get in. Coupon Book at check-in had little to offer. There were no areas to just sit and relax and people watch - not in the lobbies, not outside, not even near the shuttle or taxi pick up areas. Cocktails were hard to come by in the slot machine area of the casino.

Room Tip: I guess be sure to ask for one of the 'remodeled' rooms. I thought the entire hotel had bee...

We stayed for 2 nights April 10 at the Golden Nugget in the Rush Tower. Beautiful room, very clean and modern with huge bathroom, double sinks, flat screen TV, sitting area for $89. We booked 2 nights and got a $50 card to use at the restaurants. We had the breakfast buffet and used the card ($10.99) and it was wonderful, eggs cooked to order, bacon, sausages, lots of fruits, pastries, salmon, too much to write. Extremely nice buffet. The pool was also nice but very crowded. We went at noon and could not get a lounge chair. The chairs are very close together and they really need more room at the pool for the size of the hotel.

We enjoyed staying downtown with all the activities and closeness to other casinos. Our room was not noisy at all, we slept soundly with a very wonderful mattress and pillows. I would highly recommend staying in the Rush Tower, it was just so nice.

Room Tip: Stay in the Rush Tower.

It is a boutique hotel-style personalized service that earned them the AAA Four Diamond Award consecutively since 1977.It is a legendary icon on Fremont Strret which i visited very long ago. It is so beautiful and i enjoyed very much being there for the second time although i did not stay there in this trip. You have to go and see it for yourself.

Room Tip: I do not remember about ubications, but any room is so charm and graceful.

We stayed in the rush tower. It is located on the old town.
It was interesting to walk the main street at night except noisy...
Room was clean and beautiful but a little noisy.
The prices were affordable...
It was a pleasure staying there.
But I don't know where I would stay there once again or not.
