“Classy Place Surrounded by The Fremont Street Experience”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 16, 2013

We have stayed here several times and simply believe that the Golden Nugget goes far beyond compared to other places we've stayed. Even their Carson Tower (least expensive) rooms are luxury "all the way". An important note: we traveled with our adult daughter and the "two beds" were doubles. online it never said what kind of beds were in the "two beds" room. It was too cozy for two adults in a double bed. We checked out and went to another hotel for the rest of our stay.

Came here for the buffet, this was one of the best buffets we had while staying here. Lots of choices. After eating we checked out the pool area. Loved it! The shark tank was really neat. Played the machines, won a bit of money back. Would try staying here at a different time, location is off the strip, but the buses are super easy to use, that you can go anywhere.

this was our first stay at GN and we couldn't be happier! Our room was nice, not extravagant. The bed was very comfortable. Hotel staff was very pleasant and professional. I thought the food was decent but a little pricey. Really, really loved being right in the middle of the Fremont Experience. Prices downtown much more to our liking versus staying on the strip. The only complaint we had was not exclusive to the GN, too much cigarette smoke!! Would be nice if they could improve ventilation to help remove the smoke. Will definetly stay here again!

Our room was in the Rush Tower. It was beautiful. There was a separate charge for coffee and internet but that's ok seeing as not everyone uses these and people who don't shouldn't have to pay in there room charge. Room was spacious and clean. It had a large tub that was wonderful to soak in after a day of driving. The Fremont area was entertaining and buses to the strip were very convenient. Saturday brunch buffet was fabulous! Will definitely stay again when we return to Las Vegas

Perfect location on Freemont Street. We stayed in the older section of the hotel but it was still very nice and recently updated. We had a great view of the Stratosphere Hotel and the strip. Provided in the room was a Keurig but the coffee was really pricey so if you want coffee and have room in your bags bring some K-Cups. Two bathrobes came in handy when going to the pool. The Tank was so neat although the day we went to use the water slide it was closed for repairs(bummer for us but yes I understand things need maintenance). The Carson Street Café down in the lobby is open 24/7 and the breakfast was amazing! Cant wait to go back again!

Room Tip: You can upgrade to the new rooms for a reasonable fee and you get more perks.

We stay here at least 1-2 nights every trip to Las Vegas. Their rooms are always clean and mattresses are very plush! The food at the Grotto is excellent and the breakfast buffet is good also. The casino area is very clean. One time upon check in our safe was locked and someone was up within 5 minutes to fix it. We like the Gold Tower but love the Rush Tower! Be sure and sign up for a Landry's card!

Location can't be beat, it's right on Fremont Street! The strip is multiple blocks away but access is easy on the bus. I enjoyed staying there and my daughter also had a blast. The only thing that disappointed me was access to the sun by the pool. Because it is located in the middle of the hotel and surrounded by the hotel towers on all four sides, sun access is limited but the shark tank more than makes up for the lack of sun.
