I have been going to LV since I was a kid in 1960s. Wish Circus-circus existed then! For the money, this place is awesome. After a long drive from Reno, kids spent 6 hours in the Adventuredome, I loved it too! Buffet was pretty good, ate here several times. Rooms are decent, and they are good sized, safe, and quiet. Have stayed here several times, and recommend to friends that would rather spend money elsewhere, rather than investing in a place to sleep. Can't wait to go back!

I stayed in Circus Circus from 4/22 thru 4/25 in room 19750 of the Skyrise tower. The room was quiet and comfortable. The wall paper was coming off in several places, especially in the bathroom. There are a few tears in the carpeting. The place needs a touch-up. I guess you have to weigh what you want when you stay here. It's not a 5 star motel. Nor would it be for long with so many kids running all over the place. The place is meant for families and therefore, it is budget oriented. I got the entire stay for about $118. That's better than most places charge nightly. So complaining would be dumb. There is an in-room safe that you must pay to use, and another safe in the rooms' entertainment center that is free, but it doesn't work. The shower was decently hot and drained SLOWLY. The toilet was powerful enough to flush a brick. The TV channel selection was just ok.

The layout of the property is a bit of a maze and the map they give you sucks. So be ready to look around. The Gaming floor is kid-free, but not smoke free. The tables can handle the customer load just fine. There are many things for kids to enjoy, but it would probably be better if you did not bring kids to Las Vegas on vacation. Vegas is meant for adults to play. If you're going to bring kids, this is a good place. DON'T think you can give the kids $100 bucks to go play in the arcade and think they'll be good for 8 hours. $100 will last about 2 hours. You might be better off dropping them off under the M&M's store South on the Strip. There is an arcade there where you can buy an all-day pass. If you come to the Vegas strip, get ready to WALK or just buy a Deuce pass (that's a bus pass). Driving your own car would be a pain. A 1 way walk (sidewalk only) from Mandalay Bay to Circus Circus is about 8 miles. ALWAYS have water nearby when walking. DO NOT wait until you're dehydrated to drink water. For each cocktail you have, drink water. If you're not drinking cocktails (what's wrong with you?) drink water anyway. (Don't screw this one up people).

In-so-far as Circus Circus restaurants go, I ate at Vince Neils for B-fast, and the Steakhouse for dinner. Vince Neils has a great eggs benedict. I ate every scrap and would have gladly have hurt myself having another plate were it not for the fact that I had to go. Dinner at The Steakhouse was... OH MY GOD! WOW! Fantastic STEAKS!!! I had the porterhouse & 1 glass of divine red wine. It was fantastic. Because most steak houses overcook their steak, I ordered it rare. I expected it to come medium-rare. To my surprise, it came rare (not raw). So if you like your steaks medium rare, go ahead and order it medium rare. The meat is aged in an enclosed warmed see-thru room that is in view of the dining area. So if seeing 1/2 cow (no head) hanging from the ceiling bugs you, order room service. Dinner ran about $80.

Be sure to thumb through the discount book they give you upon check-in. There is bound to be something in there you'll like. The soda pop vending machines charge $3 for a bottle of 7-up. So go across the street and South to a convenience store and buy a 6-pack for a dollar more. Put it in your room so the kids can have something. The tap drinking water is good.

The staff was friendly and often asked "hello, can I help you with anything?", except for the check-in clerk. She was grumpy that morning.

A taxi to the McCraren airport costs about $21.00 but it's VERY fast. There is no Circus Circus -airpoprt van. There is a service called the Blue Trans that's about $7.50. But it's slow do to the large amount of stops it makes.

Room Tip: If you are scared of heights, speak up about it! Rooms facing West are usually quieter. Rooms faci...

Dear TimSrite,

Thank you for sharing your detailed travel review on TripAdvisor. We’re delighted to know you enjoyed your dining experience at both Vince Neil’s Tatuado and our award winning THE Steakhouse. However, we’re disappointed to learn of the less than satisfactory condition of your hotel room, as well as the service shortfalls encountered during the check-in process. We appreciate the descriptive follow up, and encourage you to visit again the next time you’re in town.

Sincerely,

Lori P.

I really enjoyed Circus Circus!
The staff were all friendly and helpful: the room (in West Tower) was clean and comfortable, the facilities were adequate. Food options varied and reasonably priced. The buffet breakfast was very good, the steak house excellent.
I'm not a gambler so I can't comment on the casino.
Yes, the resort does get a little overrun with children, especially at weekends(my only reason for not giving it a 5) but as this is intended as more of a family resort you should expect that.
If you want a more sophisticated experience go elsewhere and pay more sophisticated prices. Circus Circus is an excellent value for money option

Dear the_fatdonut,

With exceptional dining options, and some of the friendliest staff you’re likely to find along the Las Vegas Strip, Circus Circus is an enjoyable and economical way to get the most out of Sin City. Thank you for relaying your kind remarks, and please come back again.

The hotel is very dated, and we could see why it was cheap (however on some further investigation not much cheaper than the better hotels on the strip). It is a way out so we were buying $8.00 24 hour bus tickets to get around. At night as it was away from the strip, there were not many tourists travelling on the bus and we saw a lot of homeless and the more 'seedier' side of Vegas then we really wanted or needed to.
The Hotel itself has a funny 'smell' about it, old cigarettes, dropped beer/alcohol on the carpets which in some places are sticky and just has a general unclean feeling. Our room was fine and we hoped that once the door closed and we used it as a base that would be fine... After 3 days we checked out early and booked into another hotel in the middle of the strip for only a few dollars more a night. We felt safer, more comfortable and would now be able to say our trip to Vegas was perfect.
Circus Circus didn't do it for us, the checking in was really slow (took us nearly an hour) staff seemed to begrudge being there, in our room one of the beds had holes in the sheets and we had a coffee maker in the BATHROOM with NO coffee/tea etc.The maids just entered the rooms early, without knocking first (mostly when we were getting ready) and if we didn't let them in there and then then we missed out on clean towels etc. When we asked how we checked out early the two front of house staff carried on a conversation and the security guard assisted us.
For me my trip to Vegas was for a special occasion and I am glad we moved 3 days into the holiday otherwise we would always be saying , fantastic holiday apart from the hotel ......

We are traveling around Nevada,Arizona & Utah for our honeymoon & circus circus was our first stop. After reading mixed reviews & considering it was spring break I was nervous about our stay.

Although it's at the far end of the strip the deuce is easily accessible & it allows a weary traveller some peace from the madness! We bought a three day ticket for the deuce for only $20 each.

There were lots of kids at the hotel but it is family oriented so that's to be expected!

The breakfast buffet was tasty, with a good selection for all kinds of palates.

Don't hesitate to book!

We were first timers to Vegas, and booked our hotel online. the photos had us believing we were staying in a "fancy" las vegas hotel ON the strip, however; we arrived, the hotel was actually at the very END of the strip and the hotel was under renovations, so we had a big ugly contruction job outside our hotel room window. Kind of a let down, but it's vegas, we hardly spent time in the room anyways. Overall, cheap, decent, smells of cigarettes. okay for a first time. now we know.

The hotel location is very well located to restaurants and away from all the crazy nightlife as much as possible. The circus acts that are put on was a great way for my son to wind down from everything.

Room Tip: The rooms are spacious and very well kept.
