“Nice Hotel,Great Location, rooms need to be cleaned better.”
Reviewed April 4, 2013

We just recently stayed two nights in a suite in the Palace Towers. (Payed an extra $50 To upgrade) The room itself was nice, but we kept running into cleanliness issues. For example, the whole trip we found dark long hair places. In the shower, on the sink, on the Sofa, etc. my husband and I are both blondes so it obviously wasn't from us. When we turned on the tub and the steam rose to the big mirror surrounding it, there were handprints all over it. Dust in the corners, part of the tub had dirt on it, etc. I realize it 's a big room, but cleanliness should be top priority. However it is in the perfect location, and has a lot to offer inside this Hotel.

PROS
- was upgraded at check in from Roman to Forum Tower room #5321. My buddy stayed at the Roman Tower and there is a huge difference here in rooms. Forum tower had an incredible bathroom and updated TV, more space, etc.
- Spa was phenomenal, best i've ever been to...well worth a $45 day pass. Check out the Roman Baths
- staff was professional and friendly throughout the hotel
- pool area is massive, and fantastic scenery
- great location, felt like it was the place to be on the strip
- hotel lobby impressive
- nice restaurant options
- room had mini bar
- aesthetically it's just a gorgeous property

CONS
- room 5321 has no view, just a concrete wall
- they upcharge for everything, even brewing coffee in your own room costs $12. They charged me a resort fee of $29 per day without giving me a choice, only to find out later this covered free wifi and the gym which i never used. Early check in fee is $33. They incorrectly charged me room service which i never received, they did remove this charge at check out.
- Sportsbook is in desperate need of an upgrade, the TV's aren't high definition and the seating area is unorganized
- $18 for a red bull vodka....plan on buying your liquor elsewhere because you will go broke here - food is again very expensive here....vegas aint cheap anymore

I would stay here again, but only if it was much cheaper than the Bellagio, etc.

Room Tip: Avoid Roman Tower at all costs

This was our first time to stay at Caesars Palace. We always stay at a Caesars Property but this was our 30th anniversary and we have always wanted to stay at Caesars so we thought "Why Not?" We stayed for 5 nights in March. Our reservation was for the Augustus Tower.

The check-in process was very easy. I received an email the morning of our arrival from the "Laurel Collection" to check-in online with an arrival time. When we arrived I went to the Laurel Collection registration and there was no line at all to check-in. We were early and they did have a room ready and put us in the Octavius Tower. I don't think there's much difference in the towers except for a longer walk to the Octavius Tower.

The room was large with a sitting area, and sofa. The bed was very comfortable and the housekeeping service was great. Our view was of the pool area.

The bathroom was wonderful and very large. It had 2 sinks, a soaking tub and a separate shower. Plenty of lighting also.

I have no complaint as to noise because we were at the very end of the hall so we didn't hear any of the noise from the hallway and we heard nothing from the rooms above or beside.

The only thing I would advise is that if you have a vehicle and you plan to self-park there is a very LONG walk from the parking garage to the rooms. We did this once and after that it was valet!

My overall opinion is this is a great place to stay. Would I stay here again? Probably not unless it is comped or a very good price (we did get a good price for the 5 nights-kept checking after we made the reservations and never did find a lower price than what we booked) but this was our anniversary and wanted that little bit of extra. However, we will continue to stay at Caesar's properties like we always do.

The machines seemed fair the staff was friendly and the drinks kept on coming which could be blessing or a curse depending on your perspective. For the wife and I playing 25 cent video poker it worked out just fine, we didnt win but we also didnt lose a lot and had a great time. Would definitely go back

OK. It was a Saturday night AND March madness, but the room we had in the Roman Tower was definitely in need of updating and for that matter, so were the corridoors. It was hard to put a finger on what exactly was wrong with the place, but it certainly was not what we were expecting from a hotel with the reputation of Caesars Palace.

Given the fact that most of the Western world has banned smoking in public places, it was like stepping back years as we wandered through the haze in the casino area and when the clothes you are wearing have to be put in your suitcase, they contaminate the rest. I am not singling Caesars out in the respect - all the casinos are the same to a greater or lesser extent!

Check out was manic!

We had a further 3 nights booked here at the end of the week, but had no wish to return and cancelled, choosing the Signature at MGM Grand instead, which was wonderful.

Having visited here 4 years ago and having been blown away by the hotel, we decided to come back with friends.

What a disappointment - the casino was very smokey & smelly compared to the other hotels on the strip (bellagio, planet hollywood, the mirage, cosmpolition). Our corridor leading to our room always had boxes and glasses strewn about. Internet access was astronomical - $24.99 per day per device - rendered our 2 iphones & 2 ipads useless in the hotel!!! Can't believe in the year 2013 that this does not come as standard in a 4 star hotel.

Especially as a short walk up to planet holly wood let us have a lovely coffee at the coffee bean & tea leaf and use the free wi-fi.

Our room had a horrible view over a car park, no bath and the carpet was dirty. Our bed wasn't changed for the week we were there to save on water.....

Really wished we had stayed anywhere else apart from here - I was surprised before I left when I checked trip advisor and saw the poor reviews having had a lovely time 4 years ago - but it just shows how quickly a hotel can go downhill!

I stayed at Caesar's palace the week before Easter. I arrived at midnight on Sunday and check-in went well. On the note the host had sent me it said octavious tower however when I arrived they had me in the Augustus tower. Turns out it was a pretty nice room 2 queens and a jacuzzi tub. I am not sure what Octavius rooms are like, but the augustus room was nice for a comp, and the view over the Bellagio Fountains and down the south strip was awesome.
House keeping service was good and when we visited the room midday he asked for ID and checked out keys to make sure we actually belonged in the room after we walked in while he was cleaning.
The Hotel arranged tickets to the Shania concert at the colesium which was awsome.
We ate at the Buchanal buffet for breakfast on to mornings, while it was expensive, it was enough food to hold us over for the whole day. and the food wasn't all breakfast food.
We checked out at noon on Thurs and had our bags picked up by the bellman then at 7 PM when we were ready to head to the airport out bags were brought out to the cab and loaded by the bellmen who gave us outstanding service through the entire visit.
I can't give a price comparison since i have no idea what they normally charge for the rooms, but this one was much nicer than the average comp room at some other hotels.
If you are rated the diamond lounge is a great place to visit each evening to relax and have a drink before going to the shows, It was the icing on the cake for our visit

Room Tip: The augustus tower has great views on the even numbered side.
