“Hail Caesar !”
Reviewed July 6, 2012

Wow, what a fabulous honeymoon location !
We had been looking forward to our trip to Vegas for so long, excitedly watching the tempreture rising on the forecasts every week and planning everything we wanted to see and do when we got there.
We flew direct from London with Virgin in premium economy (upstairs on the 747) - well worth the extra cost for the comfort and service. Upon arrival at Vegas and eventually exiting the airport we got a taxi to Caesars Palace 'VIP' entrance for the Augustus and Octavius towers and within ten minutes we were in our room high up in the Octavius tower.
Our room was very well appointed and the bed was the most comfortable we have ever slept in, the view of the pools below and the desert mountains in the distance was great and the air con very effective.
The pool area was immense with the statues, pillars and fountains creating a luxurious atmosphere, the sun loungers comfortable and the water provided welcome relief from the blazing sun too.
We plan to go back to Vegas and the surrounding area in the future as one trip is never going to be enough - Book a table at The Stratosphere restaurant for your last night in Vegas and catch the fountains at The Bellagio as often as you can - Amazing city and centrally located hotel a bonus! - ENJOY

I went there for a bachelor party and could have been more satisfied with the quality and service. I did take a Sunday for a massage and poker face facial at the Qua Spa, This spa is a wonderful place to relax.

The drain in the shower couldn't keep up with the water supply and the staff missed giving us a bath mat; so it was a little wet around the shower stall.
While in the Casino, I did notice that there weren't a lot of winners on the slot machines. In the past I would notice several bells throughout the nigh. But nobody was really winning anything in my party or anywhere in the casino.

You really need to try the MGV machine gun place. They will pick up your party and drop them back off at the hotel when finished.

Pawn stars store was disappointing.

If you are in the US, and anywhere near Las Vegas, then this is the hotel for you. It's world famous, and rightly so. It has a Roman theme, spectacular fountains as you arrive, and jaw breaking decor inside.
Top sporting events are held regularly, and it;s never sleeps. Finding reception is now as you would expect from a European hotel, it;s a casino of course, and they cleverly expect you to go through the area of slots and gambling machines..
The rooms are sumptuous, if you have the money, go for a suit, but been if you have the lower grade rooms you will not be disappointed. Of course, being American everything is huge, but not surprisingly, the prices.
Once inside you could actually stay in the hotel without needing to go out. There are great restaurants, the4 Forum for shopping and all totally over the top. There is also a good sized swimming pool, but watch the sun, it can get staggering hot in the desert without your realising. it
Outside, the world, as they say is your oyster. The famous Strip is more than you can imagine, the choice of eating out is staggering, and remember that their portions come in large and over large, you have been warned!!! Las Vegas is not only a gamblers delight, but it is probably the biggest theme park in the world. Fly in and take a limo (not the taxis) to the hotel, it;'s worth the expense and it's something that you will never forget...

Room Tip: Book in advance if you can, arrive at a sensible time to miss the crowds at the reception, if needed...

Check in could not have been easier and the staff more courteous and helpful. Hotel was absolutely spotless as was the room. I tipped the front desk clerk who upgraded us from a Roman Tower to a gorgeous newly renovated room in the Octavius Tower overlooking the pool.
Probably the most comfortable bed I've ever slept on and the whirlpool tub was fun too.

It knocked spots off the Venetian where we stayed the second week after a jaunt to California.

A class act all the way………….. I’ll be staying here next trip for sure

Hotel was nice, we upgraded to a room with a jacuzzi rather than the standard room. The pool is nice and big but only 3.5 feet max. Drinks at the pool are 16 or 23 dollars a piece, depending on the size... These are for mix drinks, not sure how much beers are. Overall the hotel is really nice but I think for how expensive it is their are nicer hotels for the same price.

The main lobby check in process was totally disorganized. I waited 15 minutes with only a handful of people there before I could check in. The person who tried to organize "lines" to each check in person basically told the 5 people behind me to go to the next line who were all then checked in before me so I finally went over to that line when they called "next" much to the surprise of the check in person. I said sorry but I've been waiting for 15 minutes and was here before all of the last 5 people you just checked in and this is extremely disorganized. He just looked at me like I was crazy.
Prior to this since we were staying in the Octavius Tower, I read online that there is a separate check in area for those staying in the Augustus and Octavius Towers. When I called the hotel to confirm where the taxi should drop me off, she said "oh no, you need to check in in the main lobby area only". After the horrible experience checking in at the main lobby, I asked the person at the Augustus Tower check in area if I could have avoided the wait and checked in there and he said "of course". They need to get their information and check in procedures straight.
Other feedback: The pool was way to crowded and too much of a singles scene.
The proximity to the Forum shops is a plus and the hotel's location in the center of the strip is great.
Otherwise our room was great and the hotel overall is nice, although I'll try another property when I go back to Vegas.
