“Lousy comps”
Reviewed June 17, 2004

I just returned from my 10th visit (yes, 10 in 2 years)! I have stayed at the Aladdin 8 of those 10 visits and now Im wondering why. I have aquired the gold card status which apparently means nothing, nor does my very high number of visits. I have NEVER been comped for my stay or upgraded by the Aladdin. I find the casino hosts more interested in pointing out how great of hotel your getting rather than how pleased they are that you are there. Not to mention a regular by anyone's standards.
The hotel is nice and we like the upgraded room (of which we always have to pay for) for it's spaciousness, however, I am coming back in a couple of months but I will stay elsewhere. I have already been offered a comped stay by 2 other hotels! Bye Bye Aladdin - you'll miss me.

This was the first place we stayed in Vegas after arriving from London. We declined the chance to upgrade to a room overlooking the Strip and had to settle for a view out the back of the hotel which, unsurprisingly, wasn't great. Despite this we enjoyed our two nights there; the room was spacious and comfortable, the bathroom was great and we were particularly impressed to find that there was a computer in the room ($10 for 24hrs internet access). We ate in the buffet (good value) and one of the cafes (overpriced) and shopped in the Desert Passage and were generally more than happy with the Aladdin experience. It was, in our opinion, value for money - we stayed in Bellagio later on and felt that the Aladdin was generally a better deal.

The location of the hotel is great, middle of the strip. Checked in early with no problem on a Saturday. Room was clean. The pool area is large, however; the two pools are small and are more like wading pools. In addtion, there is little or no shade in the pool area. The casino, restaurants, and bars seem dated but serve their purpose. I recommend the martini bar at the Bellagio, next to the lobby.

We stayed quite happily for three nights at the Aladdin. The room was comfortable, and had a computer with internet connection at 9.95 USD per 24 hours. The bathroom is luxurious, with a soaking tub. From our window, which overlooked the pools, we could see most of the Bellagio fountain display (we had a run-of-the-house room)

The staff is helpful, the property easy to navigate, the buffet very good.

We also enjoyed the Steve Wyrick magic show.

When we return to Las Vegas we'll stay at the Aladdin again for sure.

We stayed at Aladdin in mid-March. We only paid $79/night for a room that overlooked the Bellagio Fountains and the Paris Eiffel Tower using the website Travelzoo. We consulted this website (especially other people's reviews) thoroughly before choosing this hotel -- what most people said was about the hotel was true. We received an upgraded room for free (simply asked when checked in). The room was nicely appointed and the bathroom was large and spacious. Check-in was quick and lasted about 5 minutes. The best part was the Spice Market Buffet. The buffet was plentiful and fresh -- with a variety of Italian, Mediterranean and Mexican food. Leave room for dessert - it was simply outstanding and the highlight of the buffet. Another plus with this hotel was that it had a nice location, it was located in the middle of the strip reasonably close to other hotels and attractions. The casino was low-key, it seemed somewhat deserted most of the time. All in all, I had a great time and would stay at the Aladdin again.

Just got back from a 4 night stay at the Aladdin. Overall our experience was enjoyable. The Aladdin is located right in the middle of the strip. Most of the comments posted on this sight are true of the Aladdin. Yes, the casino interior is cheesy. No, there is generally not a buzz in the casino but I would also say that about Paris, MGM, and Mandalay Bay. The only casinos that were really moving were the Bellagio, NY, NY, and Ceasars Palace. The pool is adequate for what it is. The desert colada is wonderful so i highly suggest drinking one from the pool bar. The pool staff and bartenders were helpful and polite. Checkin was smooth and efficient. My room was upgraded upon arrival to a Bellagio Fountain veiw room. The room was not the nicest one I had ever stayed in but it was adequate. The bathroom was very nice. Separte shower and large soaking tub highlight the bathroom. I rented a car from the Avis at the hotel and had no problems. Ate at PF Changs in the hotel twice. Excellent food. Had breakfast at Commander's Palace and was extremely impressed. The Spice Market Buffett was very good. There are alot of selections to choose from. The Cheeseburger place in the Desert Passage shops was very good. The St Louis Cafe at Paris was awful. I had the prime rib and crab legs special. The prime rib was overcooked and the crab legs were below average. The service was also very slow. Gonzalez y Gonzalez at NY NY was average mexican food and the service was awful. I would not recommend, there are alot of better places to eat. The Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay is not worth the cost. Overall it was a good trip. The Aladdin is worth the cost.

This was my 2nd time staying at the ALADDIN hotel in the past year . once again it was a very pleasing stay . i had a resort room on the 17th floor with a great view of the strip and the pool area below . the bathrooms at the aladdin are the largest i have seen among the many hotels in vegas that i have stayed at over the years. the bathroom has 2 marble counters on each side with his and her sinks and mirrors, separate tub and shower and separate room with toilet . the room was very nice as well and comes with a sofa situated between 2 large windows and has a desk with a computer . the location , the casino , the spice market buffet , and the desert passage mall are all wonderful bonuses to staying here as well . the place has it all and the slots are pretty generous . you are not likely to go wrong by staying here !
