“Staff very nice, would stay again”
Reviewed February 12, 2013

Stayed here 02-08-12 to 02-10-13 to see concert at Cosmo. Morrissey was sick, concert canceled, but extremely happy to have stayed here. 1st visit to Vegas, staff quite friendly, room was large. Strip view room - might not pay extra for that - not that great of a 'view', overlooked the pool, could see Cosmo. Beds were v. comfortable, b'room was quite large, lots of counter space, sep. room for toilet, large tub (didn't use that one.)

Kind of a long walk from self-parking, through the 'Miracle Mile' shops, but not terrible. Had a great time, if I could get the same room rate - I would def. stay here again.

I recently stayed at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas during a visit to the World of Concrete Convention. The hotel has a decent location in the center of the strip, and the lobby and gaming areas are pretty nice. The rooms are average, nothing great, but they got the job done. A downside of the hotel is the Spa. The men's spa consisted of 2 sauana's (one wasn't even turned on) and one hot tub. The next day I went to the Spa at Caesar's which was great. Overall, I had a good time during my trip to Planet Hollywood, but next time I go to Vegas, I will stay somewhere else.

I really like the Planet Hollywood. I would say that this hotel is right smack in the middle of the Las Vegas Strip. When walking through all of the other casinos on the strip I was really glad we picked this hotel. It was connected to the Miracle Mile shopping center so anything you needed was right there. I probably ran down to the Walgreens at least 3 times. It was very clean as well. Some of the hotels we walked through for the same price like Harrahs, Bally's, the Flamingo, they all seemed a little outdated and not a lot of amenities such as restaurants, coffee shops, shopping, etc.

I had my reservations about PH after reading about some experiences of other travelers. I was definitely going into uncharted territory as I normally stay at MGM properties as I have been a loyal patron for many years...and I'm comped at any MGM resort! A buddy of mine is a Harrah's buff and convinced me to try PH. Check in was a breeze and I checked in at 1:30, well before check in time. Yes, I greased the desk agent, but it paid off as I received a hand picked room on the 14th floor overlooking the Bellagio fountains. The room was quite large and the bathroom huge. Separate bath and shower, two sinks, separate commode. The bathroom came equipped with all the normal necessities. Was the bathroom dated and slightly worn, yes...what do you expect from a renovation that happened years ago? Bed was comfortable and adequate. Room also included a safe, armoire, iron and normal furniture accessories.

The casino layout itself took a little to get used to but was fairly easy to navigate after a few hours of wandering. Lots of machines and table games, I saw a lot of the newer slots with a good mix of the older mechanical reel slots. They also have a video poker area with the best VP games around...meaning STP, Spin Poker, Build a Wheel, etc. There were plenty of table games to choose from and craps was always lively. The table minimums seemed a little high to me as it was a Monday and Tuesday that I stayed. Blackjack and craps were both $15 a go and Pai Gow was $25 minimum. I tend to play everything so my time was broken up between table games and machines, all in all I penciled in about 34 hours of play in my 48 hour stay and managed to hold my own on a decent bankroll. The dealers were all great and conversed very well. The pit bosses also did their job of welcoming the player and holding conversations when the opportunity presented itself.

Didn't eat much but did have two fantastic sandwiches at Earl of Sandwich, probably one of the best sandwiches at a reasonable price...not to mention in Las Vegas. Had the buffet for both breakfast and dinner, both were great. Food was fresh and very well put together, lots of options and all that were tried had great taste. Never waited in line for a table, always got in and out quickly. Had Starbucks every morning and although the line was long I never waited more than five minutes.

All in all PH did a great job. Would I stay there again? Yes, but it would not be my first choice. I think they get a bad rap for some things that an "older" crowd may not enjoy such as the Pleasure Pit dealers and dancers but that's their thing...don't like it, don't stay there! It's a young vibe and crowd that plays great music and is very loud...but it's Vegas and its a party. Good job PH, keep it going!

Stayed here for 3 nights with 4 friends for a guys trip to Vegas in January. We wanted something fun that was in the center of town and also reasonably priced and Planet Hollywood fit the bill. Checkin and checkout were a breeze, and they didn't even charge us for a rollaway bed that we used for 3 nights. Definitely a party atmosphere that caters to the younger crowd - that's either your thing or it isn't.

We mainly used the hotel as a place to end the nights and as a jumping off point to all the other nearby properties. CityCenter/Cosmopolitan is a 3 minute walk across the elevated walkway so the location really is fantastic.

This was my 2nd time staying at Planet Hollywood. Received a couple nights comped and great rates so upgraded to a resort room with fountain view. As a total rewards member, you can get rates that make this hotel, especially given its location, a great deal. But if I had to pay premium price for rooms I would look elsewhere. As has been said on here in the past, the rooms are dated and could really use some modern upgrades. That being said, they are clean and rather spacious. Our bathroom was huge with 2 sinks/vanities which was really nice. The room was large with a desk and sitting area, and the view of the fountains was pretty cool. The casino was always packed, especially at night, so if you like a vibrant scene, this is worth checking out. you really can't beat the location, and the miracle mile mall continues to add things that make staying here even more convenient.

We recently stayed here during our trip to Vegas to renew our vows. This hotel is conveniently located in the middle of the strip has a bunch of restaurants, a casino and the Miracle Mile Mall. Overall the casino, restaurants and mall are nice, but the rooms are a bit worn out.

In our king room there was alot of scratches on the furniture and doors missing in front of the drawers. Our friends had a double queen room and they only had one closet and no drawers. The bathrooms were very nice, with lots of room and a nice big tub.

The staff was friendly.
