“Great affordable hotel on Las Vegas Strip”
Reviewed March 13, 2012

I have stayed here more than 20 timeson business, every January for the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) and National Association of Braodcasters (NAB), since the hotel was named the Aladdin. It offers the Million Mile shops. The hotel offers a convenient location on the center of the strip adjacent to Paris and accross from the newest City Center (Cosmopolitan Hotels) and Bellagio Hotels. The dinner buffet is one of the best in the area. The upgraded resort rooms are extremely large if you happen to get one, with very nice large bathrooms with both a shower and separate tub. All rooms have a safe.

Spent 4 nights at this hotel and cant recommend it enough...excellent location, would stay here again thats for sure.
There was so much to see and do in this hotel before you even started to venture outside.
The beds are like nothing i have slept in before, it was like sleeping on a cloud, i have never slept so well as i did here.
The rooms were spotless and spacious and views were amazing.

Just returned from Vegas and our first stay at Planet Hollywood. Great hotel. Easy to find your way around. Good bars and plenty of more fun, shopping, bars in the Miracle Mile which is connected. The hotel rooms are huge - we had the standard Hip Hop Room, no view but it was very nice, clean, loved the double sinks/vanities with separate bathroom. The hotels strip location makes it very easy walking both north and south on the strip. Nicest, stressfree stay of my 12 so far in Vegas.

Room Tip: Liked the south tower rooms.

Was in town for a baseball tournament for the weekend. Would never had stayed here unless the whole team was. And I won't return. Way too many options to go back here. Not going to go into to much detail but here it is in a nutshell. Don't stay here if you don't like loud 80's and 90's music blasting all over hotel 24/7. Don't stay here if you want a well below average spa and gym facility that doesnt open until 6am. (This is freaking Vegas, how do you not open until 6am.) Rooms are very dry and dusty. Casino is dark. Staff was friendly. If you want a coffee plan on at least a half hour wait at a very small Starbucks. There were a minimum 30-40 people in line all morning. Breakfast buffet opens at 7am. I don't quite understand that.. A very young crowd all over. Bottom line, if your under 30, and are coming to Vegas to get plastered and don't care about the facility, this your place. For a place that was renovated only a few years back, there is still work to be done...

We booked this on travelocity as a top secret hotel and were pleasantly surprised. We switched to this hotel from the Circus Circus due to wanting something in a better location. We got the Stephen Baldwin themed room, whcih we all found to be quite hilarious. The bathroom had a tub and a separate standing shower, as well as a door to separate the toilet from the rest of the bathroom which was very nice since 3 of us were sharing. The room was very clean and was nicely decorated. I'm not sure if there was anyone in the room next to us because we didn't hear a sound from the hallway or the adjacent room, which was great!

Another nice part about this hotel is they do not charge resort fees. However, this means if want internet, it's $13.99 per day per device. The lady who checked us in told us we could just go downstairs to starbucks and use their free wi-fi, which we really appreciated.

The is hotel is right in with the Miracle Mile shops, where you can find more affordable stores than the high end Forum shops or Vdara. There are tonnes of restaurants there and it is in a very good location to walk to the many other nearby hotels. In fact, it is right across the street from the Bellagio and City Centre.

The only part I didn't really like about this hotel is that the casino did not offer as much variety in slots and tables as the other ones we had been in, and the dealers are all girls dressed in corsets and underwear with more girls dancing on podiums in the middle of the gaming tables...but hey, if you're in that kind of thing then this is the place for you.

All in all we were very glad we switched to this hotel and got a great deal on it!

Planet Hollywood doesn't have the glam of the Bellagio, nor the amazing facilities (read, 'shops'!) of Cesar's Palace. It doesn't have crazy Vegas themeing like New York, New York or a world famous breakfast buffet like the Wynn. What it does have though, are spacious bedrooms, a great on-strip location, Starbucks with free-Wifi (for the Brits!) and plenty of bars, restuarants, entertainments and ways to part with your dollars.

As seems typical in the USA, there is no fridge or mini bar in the room and no kettle. Walgreens is nearby for snacks and water to take back to the room- we cooled our wine with ice from the dispenser by the lifts. The baths were satisfyingly large with a seperate wc and large shower. Theming was a little lame- just a framed print and item of clothing supposedly from a film (we got a blue cardigan!), but the beds were comfortable, we never had to wait long for a lift and there was an Earl of Sandwich open all hours- so we were happy!

The biggest negative was the faint smell of smoke in the rooms, like the ghost of a smoker! It wasnt enough to really bother me but it was there.

The biggest positive was the value- we felt that we got value for money, and it freed $$ to spend in the shops!!!

tip- Negotiate a limo for your return journey to the airport- we got it for $30.

This Hotel is a great location to experience the Vegas strip. The room itself was a fun design but worn. The only downside was fixtures in the bathroom were dirty, but on the other hand the roman style bath tub was wonderful. As for the property's amenities, the pools were freezing which made them unusable, even in 100 degree weather. But the casino is by far the most fun on the strip, also the Miracle Mile shops are cool and have lots of options for dinning that wont eat a hole in your wallet.
