I love going to Sam's Town when I go to Vegas. The show (animals, mountains) in the middle of the hotel is specially lovely during the Christmas season. The hotel also has movie theaters, which is awesome for me and my family, cause we always like to take a little break from gambling. But, speaking of gambling, this is the place to go for Penny slots. I never have luck around the strip, but always come out with a little something in my pocket when I go to Sam's Town. Love it!

This was a blind reservation, so we were a bit hesitant. Lots of cool things to do. Fair prices, good food, friendly staff. The rooms are updated, and the bed was comfy. Away from the crowds of the strip. Brings back memories of old Las Vegas.

Nicely appointed rooms with a choice of your view. There are 9 floors, though the first two are made up of hotel attractions and conference meeting rooms. The registration desk fronts the great outdoors-themed fountains and "woods" where nightly "shows" take place that incorporate the animated/electronic animals, the fountains and a narrated performance. This outdoorsy feel seems like it would be a great escape from the heat in the summer months, without the claustrophobic sense of being trapped inside a hotel all day. There is much to do besides the gambling as the bowling alley seems to operate quite late - we wandered through after 2am and people were playing on several lanes on a late Sunday/early Monday morning.

Room tip: We liked the top floor for the views of downtown and the hotel's center area

We spent a night out at Sam's Town in Las Vegas at the end of April. The front desk person was extremely helpful when our reservation went missing. The rooms are updated and mostly clean but the beds are AWFUL. I don't ask much, a decent bed and a clean quiet room and I'm happy. But these beds are sheeted with only top sheets and the instant you try to crawl in, you will be in a tangled desaster. There is no duvet, only a thin hotel blanket sandwiched between two more top sheets. But, by far, the worst thing about Sam's Town is their "buffet".

Second visit to Sam's Town within a year was a major disappointment. Place doesn't see as clean as it was before Grafitti in the parking garage and dirty carpets in area.
Even worse is a $29.00 resort fee for which you got nothing. Spotty wifi and not even a bottle of water. Come on, Sam's, you can do better than this!
