My husband and I stayed here for an overnight get away and it was wonderful! It was only a few dollars up charge to have a room overlooking the wonderful Laser Light show and arboretum! And the food at the new Willie and Joses was great as well! We will be back!

Room Tip: All rooms are quiet and have heavy curtains so the sun does not wake you up. If you can spare a few...

Good value accommodation in Las Vegas. The room was clean and functional and the bed was comfortable. It is located a fair distance from the strip, so you really need a car to get around. There is a shuttle to the strip but its timings are a bit restrictive. Facilities are good and there is a Walmart across boulder highway.

I have stayed in Sam's Town Hotel and Gambling Hall couple times and always enjoyed it. It is really different that staying on the Strip and I like the difference. More local visitors, better service, more fun.

Sam's Town Hotel and Casino is a great place to stay. The big advantages of staying here versus the strip are cost, convenience, and comfort. The rooms are all reasonable size and the furnishings are nice. This year's stay we were happy to see the old "tube style" TV's have been updated to large flatscreens. The beds were comfortable, the bathrooms are large, and the furnishings were all in good shape.

For those of you used to the long walks from parking lots to the rooms (especially on the strip), you will enjoys the convenience of the 2 parking garages just a short walk from the casino/hotel. The walk from the car parked in the garage to our room was never more than 5 minutes. Garage 2 has a third floor walkway that connects right to the hotel and casino. There are restaurants to fit every budget and appetite, from fast food (McDonalds, Sbarro, Panda Express, Subway, Dunkin Donuts) to casual dining (TGIF) to more formal dining and a buffet. Both hotels restaurants - Billy Bob's Steakhouse and Willy and Jose's Cantina are excellent and reviewed separately. The buffet is an excellent value with good food.

There is also an 18 screen theater, bowling alley and arcade room. Although most everybody is there for the gambling, it's nice to have some activities right there for those times when you are not in the mood to play. When you are in the mood to play, Sam's is a full service casino with thousands of slot machines, video poker, sports book, poker room etc.

The great thing that ties together the friendly staff, the comfortable surroundings (including the park like setting in the atrium) and the good choice of activities is the cost. Sam's Town is one of the most reasonable places to stay in all of Las Vegas. Join their B Connected players club and you will get even better rates and others bonuses. This trip was our second stay at Sam's Town, we will be returning for a third soon.

Room Tip: Spend the extra few bucks for the parkview rooms, and get a B Connected Card for discounts. The buff...

We spent a Friday and Saturday night in this hotel and had a great time. The hotel is on Boulder Highway and is about 8 miles from the strip. Thus
you will need a car to get around, although Sams does have a free shuttle.
The rooms are clean and comfy. The employees are friendly and courteous. The breakfast buffet is excellant. They have other choices for
meals, like TGIF and McDonalds. The Sports Book is very well equipped,
and the bartenders make good drinks.

Room Tip: Ask for the "Park view"

This was the 1st time we had stayed at Sam's Town but it sure won't be the last. Sam's Town gave us a package for the 2012 PBR finals...it included great event tickets, transportation to and from, a great room for 2 nights and free meals. We usually stay on the strip but not next time. Sam's is a great place for people likes the calm easy going casinos. I can't wait to go back!

Room Tip: Ask for an inside room...it looks down on the center of the complex.

We loved this hotel and stayed here for 3 nights. It's very clean, comfortable, quiet, & the staff friendly. We really enjoyed the Mystic light show and saw it 2 times. It's great and there's no charge to see it. The times are 4, 6, 8 & 10pm daily. The kids love it too. We enjoyed the theme of this hotel with the trees, jungle like, and outdoor feeling. We ate at the Mexican restaurant and loved it. It felt like we were eating outside, the lighting was perfect. We also had a wonderful friendly waiter who was happy to please and he loved people. The Firelight buffet is not so great though, but more about that in another review.
I recommend everyone to stay at this hotel, it's fantastic and has the best rates! Thank you Sam's Town for a great time!!!

Room Tip: We did not choose an inside room and that was just fine, as we enjoyed walking to see the light show...
