“Our favorite place in Las Vegas”

We loved this hotel and stayed here for 3 nights. It's very clean, comfortable, quiet, & the staff friendly. We really enjoyed the Mystic light show and saw it 2 times. It's great and there's no charge to see it. The times are 4, 6, 8 & 10pm daily. The kids love it too. We enjoyed the theme of this hotel with the trees, jungle like, and outdoor feeling. We ate at the Mexican restaurant and loved it. It felt like we were eating outside, the lighting was perfect. We also had a wonderful friendly waiter who was happy to please and he loved people. The Firelight buffet is not so great though, but more about that in another review.
I recommend everyone to stay at this hotel, it's fantastic and has the best rates! Thank you Sam's Town for a great time!!!

Room Tip: We did not choose an inside room and that was just fine, as we enjoyed walking to see the light show...

Our experience with Sam's Town Las Vegas Hotel and Gambling Hall was excellent, and has been for many years. (We,ve been going there for 20 years). We,ve not only found the entire staff to be very friendly and helpful, the comps are better here than on the Strip. Also, the indoor park is extremely good, and the laser light and water show (free) is well done and entertaining.

Room Tip: Ask for a park view room.

our family went to Las Vegas a week or so ago - stayed at a local hotel/casino which we had loved many years ago - after two days there we visited Sam's Town Las Vegas - it was such a refreshing change from the downtown district. First of all there were not huge crowds. We really enjoyed the atium, the waterfalls, and the central palcing of some of the restaurants. Interesting enough, noticed that a Big Mac Meal was not $9 as in some casinos, but the same as back home in Texas. Sam's is clean, not smelling of smoke, and totally refreshing. We have found this ture with two other Sam's Town Casinos - If we come back to Vegas, our stay will be at Sam's Town, it was great.

This is probably our 15th trip to Las Vegas and we stay at a different property every time. Last time we stayed at The Orleans, our first experience off the strip. We liked that so much, that we thought, "why not try another off strip property"? Sam's Town is not just off the strip it is soooooo far. My husband and I are 50+, but the people at Sam's Town were old even to us!

Some of the good things --

1) TGIFridays - excellent

2) Staff is friendly -- actually we saw an 80+ yr old lady yelling/screaming at a security guard who was trying to help her but she was abusive towards him. The security guard was very calm and professional.

3) It's cheap. We were there for a week and our bill was @ $300.

4) Hot tub was clean.

5) Room smelled good. (Even though we were in a smoking room, it wasn't over-powering)

6) They had a large bus for a shuttle (like a city bus) not a smaller bus like many of the casinos offer. So there was room on the bus and you didn't have to fight for a seat. BUT, you have to be back by 9:00 p.m. or find your own way back.

Some of the not so good things --

1) NO SAFE IN THE ROOM. We like to lock up our i-pads, cash and laptops when we are out.

2) No coffee maker

3) The room was generally clean, but the phone, the temperature thermostat, the outlet in the bathroom were very dirty.

4) There is no sun at the pool after 2:00. The building shades the sun after 2. And there was no pool bar (maybe too late in the season?)

There was nothing wrong with Sam's Town, but I wouldn't stay there again.

Went out for a UNLV Football game and a fight and was surprised not only with the room but also the staff from the front desk, housekeeping and the casino dealers and floor hosts. Its off the strip but well worth the extra drive or taxi to experience the wonderful staff.

This was my first trip to Sam's Town with my wife and we had a blast. The staff and employees at Sam's were couteous and professional which made our trip very relaxing an enjoyable. From the many restaurants to choose from, including a variety of gaming machines and table games, and the services provided by all the employees, this will definitely be a place I will stay on my next visit to Las Vegas. Coming from Hawaii, Sam's Town is a place that treats you with a lot of Aloha.

Room Tip: We had a high floor and it was very enjoyable. We were able to see the water and laser light show f...

We spent two nights at Sam's enroute to AZ. Our king room was spacious with two comfortable arm chairs, large bathroom, and wide screen HD TV. The mattress was excellent. Our 7th floor room faced NE, with a lovely view of the mountains and sunrise. Were not gamblers, but enjoyed the other amenities of the complex, including the breakfast buffet, Subway, McDonald's, and the laser/fountain show in the atrium.

Room Tip: We thought our outside room was more desirable than one facing into the atrium.
