“It's the Four Seasons, of course.”
Reviewed May 6, 2013

Quiet, restful and upscale digs away from the casino scene in a casino town. The property adjoins the Mandalay Bay Resort, so Vegas is "just on the other side of the door", but the Four Seasons is a peaceful respite from the frenetic action of the strip. The staff was friendly and helpful as well as genuine. We couldn't ask for more. The Four Seasons is definitely one of the more expensive properties, but is well worth the money.

The rooms at this hotel that is in same building as Mandalay Bay are lovely with art that is a pleasure. Food at the bar was tasty. But there were misses. Turndown service on only one of three nights (unless they came after 9:30 when we had sign on the door). No turndown water or other treat. Newspaper showed up one morning of three.

At check in they asked what time we would like the room cleaned in the morning. And then they ignored that preference every day.

Pool hours prohibit enjoying the pool if you are there on business...no late afternoon, evening or early morning hours.

This was just not quite up to four seasons standards. Next time I'll just stay at Mandalay Bay.

Room Tip: Try to avoid rooms that face the airport and have its additional noise

Thanks to American Express Platinum, we were upgraded to an amazing suite. Our room (actually two rooms) was amazing. It was very large, contained one and a half baths, a living room, two flat screen TVs and had a beautiful view of the Strip from the 36th floor. The rooms were beautifully furnished and the linens and towels were first-rate. The bed was super-comfortable and my wife and I enjoyed our stay. The only small criticism that I could possibly make was that the shower was a bit on the small size even though the shower itself was terrific. My wife and I usually stay at top boutique hotels, and although the Four Seasons is not a boutique facility, it is a top notch place to stay when visiting Las Vegas.

An excellent choice for those who want to disappear into the tranquil Four Seasons experience surrounded by the non-stop fever pitch of Las Vegas. Located within the Mandalay Bay Resort at the south end of the action, the hotel offers the usual experience of well-trained staff, clean rooms and high end extras. Rooms are spacious and well appointed with flat screen TV's, nice bathrooms and floor to ceiling windows. The Verandah restaurant, one of two full service on-site options, offers excellent meals at 4S prices. The wait staff is impeccable and dining can be inside or outside near the pool area.

The suites are large and impressive and the front desk will offer upgrades for a fee to most guests - the ready offers make one wonder if the upgrades are commissionable somehow. The non-strip views are mostly of the airport, which is pretty bland, but far enough away to remain quite. The express elevators to the 35th and above 4S floors are speedy and sufficient even when busy. Note: the lobby bar was under renovation, but posed no issues.

All in all, a great option for those who want to experience the rush of Vegas only when stepping outside the oasis of the 4S. The gambling, hookers and smoke are only steps away beginning at the Mandalay Bay, accessible from nondescript doors which lead to the hotel.

My third trip to Las Vegas and this is definitely the best hotel I can find. Service is exemplary, the hotel is always spotless and it is an great oasis to get away from the hustle and bustle when you want to, but still next door to the casinos and Vegas when yoy want them. I think this is as close to perfect as it gets, everything is just done right.
