“Just plain good....”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 29, 2014

Decided to head off the strip for some Japanese food. Ichiza is about a 10 minute cab ride from the center of the strip. It is located in what is called "Chinatown". It is located on the 2nd floor of a non-descript shopping mall.

The lack of curb appeal is more than made up for by the food. We ate family style. Sharing a bunch of items. Here are a few of the highlights:

Ramen DX (awesome!), Salmon sashimi, fried pork with kimchi, chicken meatballs, etc...

The menu is crazy. Written all over the walls.

Check it out, you won't be disappointed. Oh, did I mention the place was packed...

“Best Japanese food in Vegas”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 7, 2014

I cant wait to go to Vegas again just to visit this place. Most authentic Japanese food I've had in America. Its basically like a Tapas place so you can order a bunch of food. I recommend it to all my friends who go to Vegas. Don't go to overpriced and touristy restaurants on the strip, they are all expensive and the food is mediocre. This place is simply amazing. I'm still thinking about it. I went there with a group of 3 people, we all eat amazing food until we couldnt anymore - maybe 30 bucks per person not including alcohol. Way better deal than eating at one of those buffets.

“not your usual Japanese restuarant”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 5, 2014

This place is small so expect a wait or you can call to reserve a table for bigger groups. This place is very unique because aside from the regular menu there are food items posted on the walls all over the place! so expect a lot of variety!

“Authentic, Rustic, Compellingly Charming Izakaya”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 27, 2014 via mobile

Many small "joints" (i.e. tapas bars) in Japan pride themselves on consistency, no-nonsense friendly service and enhancing your drinks with wonderful dishes. This "off-the-main-path" bar/grill on the second floor of a strip mall on Spring Mountain Road is truly authentic and worth seeking out. We visited for the third time in mid January, 2014 and were not disappointed. We took advantage of Happy Hour which runs from 3:30 -- 5:00PM. Currently 50% off alcohol and selected dishes. Some were awesome, others just good. Beer was cold and refreshing. It gets crazy busy later at night so plan accordingly and make plans to get there well ahead of when you plan to eat unless you hit it early. You won't be disappointed.

“Truly jewel”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 17, 2014 via mobile

Ok, if you like japanese food do not miss this place. A local friend advised me about it, it is not in big advertises ( they do not need it) and I loved it! It is not a big restaurant but it is great, food is amazing, drinks are delicious and save space for dessert. I loved the honey toast dessert, brilliant! The waitress was so nice, kind and fast. It is great to go with friends, and ask lots of different food. I tried at least a bit of 9 options of food and none of them were bad. Price is fair!!
