We took the tour to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon with the helicopter ride.
There were 6 of us in our group. The day started with a pick-up at our hotel, and a drive to the airport. We were picked up on time and made 2 stops at other hotels on our way to the airport.
At the private airport building we waited briefly to check-in. Each member of your party is weighed while carrying whatever they are taking on the plane. Your weight is visible only to the employee, not everyone you are with. You are then given a card which has your seat # and colour group for the plane. There are comfy couches to wait and some snacks & souvenirs for purchase. They didn't have any gum for sale, but did have free mints.
When it is time to board the pilots call out your colour group and then go through some safety rules. Then on to the plane for the 45 minute flight to the Grand Canyon. Our flight was smooth and we landed slightly ahead of schedule.
You are then taken on a small bus to the Grand Canyon south rim. The first stop was Bright Angel Point where we had an hour or so to look around and take photos. You are also given a box lunch of a turkey sandwich on a croissant, bottle of water, bag of chips, and 2 cookies. All tasty.
You then get back on the bus. We were a little ahead of schedule so the people taking the helicopter were given 15 minutes at the next stop, those not taking the helicopter ride had an hour. This stop was Mather Point. We all liked this area better than the first. The views were amazing!
Back on the bus to the helicopter. This was the first helicopter ride for all of us, so there were some nerves, but it was awesome! We were in the air for about 30 minutes and got to see so much more of the Grand Canyon than we would have seen from the ground.
Then on the plane back to Las Vegas.
All in all this tour was a highlight of our trip. It was pricey, but definitely worth it! All of the employees we encountered were friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend touring with them!

We have always wanted to do a helicopter ride to the grand canyon when we visited Vegas and this time we did.
The pick up and process to get going was very smooth.
The helicopter was really nice, clean, looked newer.
Our pilot and tour guide Daniel was terrific. He was very funny and personable. He did a great job getting us there and back safely.

We did the Skywalk Odyssey express tour. We didn't want to be at the canyon all day..but it was a really quick 45 min stop. with 45 min in the helicopter each way. Maybe would have liked a bit more time there but there aren't any other tour options unless you stay there for several hours.
Overall..great experience and would recommend Maverick to others.

While visiting Las Vegas last Summer, we wanted to see the Grand Canyon. We boarded a Maverick jet in Henderson Airport and flew about 50 minutes to the Grand Canyon Airport. We then boarded a bus and drove through to the Canyon. We were provided a boxed lunch and time to eat it, view the Canyon's South Rim and walk some of the trails. We then reboarded the bus back to the Canyon Airport where we boarded the helicopter. I will admit to being nervous as I have a slight fear of heights. The pilot was so professional and reassuring that my fears were forgotten about once we took off. He was very knowledgable about the formation and history of the canyon along with the geography of the region. We flew the entire length of the canyon before returning to the Canyon airport, where we disembarked the helicopter and boarded the jet back to Henderson. It was most definitely a worthwhile trip of a lifetime. The staff, pilots and everyone at Maverick made it such an enjoyable and memorable event. Thank you Maverick :-)

My family from Ho Chi Minh city, Viet Nam: 2 adults and 2 kids enjoyed the flight at 16:30 Jan 28, 2014, it was the best and unforgotten moment in our life with marverick helicopter tour. Helicopter was so clean and safe. My wife and kids were so nervous before the trip to Hooverdam but after the trip, all of us felt happy and confirmed that helicopter was so great and even more safer than any vehicles. We should thank to all of staffs of Marverick from bus driver, receptionist, especially Pilot Mark....we give all of you 5 stars of service.

It was my first time on a helicopter so was made to do it as doubt we will see the Grand Canyon again. Had my eyes shut most of the time but could probably get used to the flying. Expensive but well worth it as it is much shorter than going on a coach trip
