“Avoid this hotel”
Reviewed January 17, 2006

My company booked rooms in this hotel for a convention. It is easily the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The room was very large but filthy. The carpets and furniture didn't look clean, there was mold in the shower, and the kitchenette was nothing short of disgusting. The area around this hotel is run down and since no cabs stop here, there is no way to get to restaurants or entertainment without a rental (or a long, probably dangerous walk). The desk staff were friendly but that doesn't come close to making up for this hotel's problems.

The Hotel staff at the Front desk was very helpful and friendly. The persons working in the Casino seemed to be put out if they had to get a cocktail or drink for you. Very smoky in the lobby(checkin & casino). The rooms were adequate in size, however not the cleanest rooms. The linens and bathroom were clean. The carpets were not, looked like they were spot vacuum not reaching the edges or near the tables.

Definitely not a luxury hotel- but, at the price, a great place to have a clean, comfortable, very roomy place to sleep conveniently off strip.

Terrific room layout- with the wall separating the beds. Coffee maker and fridge a welcome touch after the $5 coffee and $5 waters of the strip hotels.

Bottom line- a great way to save money on weekends (I paid $60 with tax) or long-stays if you don't need pampering.

Visit 2 years ago stayed at the Luxor;this visit on tighter budget but love Las Vegas.The Mardi Gras is basic but rooms are good size;fridge& Coffee maker great asset;could be cleaner but I guess huge turn over in staff.Pool area-you could be in the sun all day if wanted to & only 1 minute back to your room;
likewise when returning to hotel you can be in your room in 2 minutes, took 30mins at the Luxor.
Best part! 5 minutes to Monorail station running until
2a.m.or got free Wynn shuttle bus across from monorail,could be on the strip in 15 minutes.
Hotel shuttle available & Bus stops near as well.
Would definetely stay again for price & access.

A Very tired hotel. The room was larger than average but was not cleaned well. Still food in fridge from previous occupant! Not far from the Monorail but not a pleasant walk after dark. Cheaper hotels on the strip.

We asked for a non-smoking room when we booked this hotel. When we checked in, no non-smoking room was available anymore, so we got a smoking room. The smell was awful! We asked for some intensive ventilation or air spray to move this smell from the room. During our 2 night stay nobody showed up, although we asked four (!) times. After our stay my clothes also smelled like tobacco.

Hairs have been found in the shower, the airco was also not working very well.

From the outside it was possible to shift the window glasses out of the window, and so it was possible to open the room door from the outside.

Plus: they gave us a breakfast refund because nobody showed up to refresh the air in the room.

There are better and cheaper hotels in Las Vegas!
